'The Born Expeditions: Tale of Two Whales' Finale on GMA-7's Born To Be Wild

'The Born Expeditions: Tale of Two Whales' Finale on GMA-7's Born To Be Wild

For almost two weeks, Doc Nielsen Donato and his team have been documenting whales and dolphins in Bohol's seas for "The Born Expeditions: The Tale of Two Whales."

They filmed the behavior of spinner dolphins, melon-headed whales, and bottlenose dolphins. Until Doc's team spotted the biggest whale yet - a Bryde's whale. Along with other marine mammals and the biggest fish in the world, the whale shark, Bryde's whales were once hunted in Pamilacan. After what seemed like years of "absence" from Bohol's seas, a Bryde's whale sighting was finally reported by researchers in 2010. And as Born to be Wild's footage shows, the Bryde's whale is indeed back in Bohol.

But the question remains - where is the blue whale that the team documented a year ago? The blue whale is the largest creature to have ever existed on earth, and in the Philippines, it has only been formally documented a few times. Last year, Born to be Wild showed Philippine viewers what was then the most extensive footage of the blue whale in our own waters. This year, Doc Nielsen and the team wonder if the blue whale will surface again, for a more detailed observation.

Suddenly, they see a fluke or "tail" which appears to be the same size as their boat, if not bigger. A fluke this big can only mean one thing. Don't miss the awe-inspiring finale of The Born Expeditions' "Tale of Two Whales" this Wednesday night on GMA-7's Born to be Wild after Saksi.

Legendary bassist and Booker T. and the MGs member Donald “Duck” Dunn died this morning in Tokyo, Japan. He was 70.

Kim Dotcom Wife Mona Dotcom to NZ Police: "Give me back my $155,000 Mercedes!"

Kim Dotcom Wife Mona Dotcom to NZ Police: "Give me back my $155,000 Mercedes!"

Mona Dotcom, the wife of Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom, has filed legal papers demanding the return of a G55 Mercedes SUV seized by New Zealand police after a raid on their mansion in January. The vehicle, appraised at $155,000, has yet to be driven legally by Mrs. Dotcom, as the papers reveal she has not yet earned a driver's license.

Throughout their five-year romance, Kim showered his bride with trinkets of his affections - Rolex and diamond-encrusted Chanel watches, a pink iPhone, laptops, etc. - but it's that Mercedes, plus a pair of high-priced sculptures, that are the main focus of Mrs. Dotcom's recovery efforts.

"Many of my personal belongings were taken by the police, including artwork, jewelry and watches, a laptop computer and mobile phone and my car," she said in papers filed with a New Zealand court, the New Zealand Herald reports. The court documents state the couple met in November 2007 and married in July 2009, shortly after Mona had turned 21. Her wedding gift? A pair of fiberglass sculptures of faces created by Christian Colin, valued at over $78,000. She wants those back, too.

Kim Dotcom is free on bail while awaiting a hearing on his extradition to the U.S. to face piracy charges but has been granted a $15,500-per-month allowance for living expenses. Mrs. Dotcom, who maintains she had no involvement in Megaupload, lists in her filing the costs of raising five children under the roof of the couple's 25,000-square-foot Dotcom Mansion near Auckland.

They include:

* $5 million in modifications to the house.
* $780,000 a year for rent.
* $467,000 a year to keep the house going.
* Six staff at about $22,500 a month.
* $5,500 a month on groceries.
* Gas for heating and cooking, $2,500 a month.
* $2,700 a month for electricity.
* Landline phone calls budgeted at $3,900.
* $1,440 a week for lawn mowing.
* $3,300 a week for three full-time gardeners.

In her appeal to the court, Mona Dotcom said, "I have always believed my husband's businesses are entirely lawful, and I still believe this to be true," the New Zealand Herald reports. "I am simply asking the courts to return my own property and make reasonable provision for our family's ongoing maintenance and care."

Horst Faas Dies, His Accomplishments Remembered

Horst Faas Dies, His Accomplishments Remembered

Horst Faas, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning war photographer who later was editor of The Associated Press (AP) staff in Saigon that produced some of the most haunting photographs of the Vietnam War, died Thursday in Munich. He was 79.

His death was confirmed by The A.P.

Mr. Faas covered wars in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Algeria in the late 1950s before being sent to Vietnam in 1962. Though seriously wounded in a jungle rocket attack in 1967, he remained in what he called “this little bloodstained country” until 1973, shortly before the American military withdrawal.

Mr. Faas earned Pulitzers in 1965 for combat photographs from Vietnam and in 1972 for his coverage of the conflict in Bangladesh.

As celebrated as his own work was, the photographs that came to be most closely associated with Mr. Faas were two that he selected, as an editor, for transmission around the world. Because of their graphic nature and the unwritten rules of conventional journalism, neither might have ever been more than a dot on a contact sheet in a drawer. Instead, they became emblematic images of the tragedy of the American involvement in Vietnam.

The first, taken by the celebrated photographer Eddie Adams during a surprise insurgent attack on Saigon in 1968, showed a South Vietnamese official, his pistol at arm’s length, executing a captured Vietcong soldier at point-blank range. The second, taken in 1972 by the South Vietnamese photographer Huynh Cong Ut, known professionally as Nick, showed the aftermath of one of the thousands of bombings in the countryside by American planes: a group of terror-stricken children fleeing the scene, a girl in the middle of the group screaming and naked, her clothes incinerated by burning napalm.

The girl was obviously nude, and one of the rules was we don’t — at The A.P. — we don’t present nude pictures, especially of girls in puberty age,” Mr. Faas said in an oral history recorded in 1997 for The A.P.’s corporate archive. Nevertheless, he set his mind on “getting the thing published and out.” The photograph won a Pulitzer.

In that interview and others, Mr. Faas avoided grand statements about the power of photography to change public opinion. He was at times adamantly fatalistic on the issue.

I don’t think we influenced the war at any time,” he said in 1997. “I don’t think we helped to win it or helped to lose it. We didn’t work on the outcome of the war.” Making photographs about the suffering and horror of war, he said, is simply better than not making them.

Horst Faas was born in Berlin on April 28, 1933, and like other young men of his generation, he told interviewers, was forced to join the Hitler Youth organization in his neighborhood. He said his overarching childhood memories were of food shortages, evacuations and “the fascinating spectacle of antiaircraft action in the sky” as Allied planes dropped bombs.

His interest in photography was accidental, he said. There were few opportunities for education in postwar West Germany. He landed a job in the library of a local photo agency. The agency eventually “needed cheap help to take pictures,” so he started taking them, he told The A.P.’s archive. He joined The A.P. in 1956.

Mr. Faas was known at The A.P. for his role as a teacher and mentor. During the Vietnam War, he trained a cadre of young South Vietnamese men to take photographs, supplying them with cameras, film and daily marching orders. Some of them became successful professionals, including Nick Ut, who now works in Los Angeles.

Mr. Faas’s survivors include his wife, Ursula, and his daughter, Clare Faas.

‘The X Factor Philippines’ Begins Search for Next Singing Superstar

‘The X Factor Philippines’ Begins Search for Next Singing Superstar

The X Factor Philippines” brings together four of the country’s biggest names in the recording industry across generations, Concert King Martin Nievera, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, international singing sensation Charice, and Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales, as celebrity judge-mentors who will start touring the country this week and begin the search for the next Pinoy singing superstar.

It’s such an honor to be part of the show. I’ve been there. I joined singing contests and I know how they feel. So, as a judge-mentor, I’m just going to be kind but honest to them,” said Charice who is the youngest ‘The X Factor’ judge-mentor in the history of the international franchise.

Martin also expressed his excitement to work with his fellow “The X Factor Philippines” judge-mentors.

Gary and I have a great working relationship. Tita Pilita is my mentor. Not too many people know it though, but she was the one who discovered me and said that I have a future in the industry. Charice is the youngest with most experience so I’m sure she has a lot to bring so I am just excited to work with all of them,” he explained.

Gary, on the other hand, is just as excited as Martin to start the show especially on mentoring the contestants. He also shared his stand on the possible competition that may happen among the judge-mentors.

I am that kind of guy that if I challenge anyone - it’ll be myself. It will not be for the other judges because the other judges have their own idea on who’s going to be the next big thing. Whether I get to mentor the Boys, the Girls, the Over 30s, or the Groups, I hope that in the end it’ll be one from my group who will win. But knowing the judges we have, it will not be a challenge to put down anybody but rather bringing out the best in whomever the contestant is,” said Gary.

Meanwhile, Pilita, who is not new in judging talent searches, admitted she is quite challenged because the show is entirely different from the past shows or judging she did.

There is mentoring involved here. We are not just looking for the voice. We are looking for a personality you can sell worldwide. If we are looking for someone who sings well, there are thousands in this country, on every corner of the street but they need to have that ‘x factor.’ We can’t even define it but once we see it on someone, we would know,” said Pilita.

The celebrity judge-mentors will soon tour the country together with host KC Concepcion. KC joined “The X Factor Philippines” team during the first round of auditions and shared how she was blown away by the contestants.

They are really good. You will be surprised to see all of them. It is true that we have the best performers. For example, there is one carenderia vendor, wearing a simple duster, whom you wont believe can sing like Whitney Houston,” KC shared.

KC and the judge-mentors will first go to Cebu on Wednesday (May 16) and on Thursday (May 17) for the Visayas leg of auditions to be held in Hoops Dome, Cebu City.

They will then go to Davao Del Sur Coliseum in Davao on May 23 and 24 to see if Mindanao hopefuls have the ‘x factor.’

Manilenos and auditionees from the rest of Luzon will be adjudged last as the team goes to its final stop at the PAGCOR Theater this May 30, 31, and June 1.

Live auditions are open to the public. Keep tuning in on ABS-CBN to know how to claim free tickets.

If you want to watch auditions in Davao, get your tickets at ABS-CBN Davao on May 19, 1 PM on on May 21 at the audition venue at the same time.

For tickets to auditions in PAGCOR Theater, just line up at the ABS-CBN audience entrance on Saturday (May 26) at 1 PM.

“The X Factor” is a world-renowned musical franchise by Simon Cowell that started in the UK. ABS-CBN bagged the exclusive rights to localize the program with KC Concepcion as host. The show will also give away P4 million in prizes - the biggest prize for a talent search in the history of Philippine TV.

Watch out for biggest musical event of the year, “The X Factor Philippines,” with host KC Concepcion, airing soon on ABS-CBN.

9/11 Takes Centerstage in CSI: NY Season 8

9/11 Takes Centerstage in CSI: NY Season 8

Brace yourself for an emotionally powerful premiere episode this May when CSI: NY Season 8 returns to AXN every Wednesday 10PM starting May 16. The premiere will touch on a global catastrophe close to the hearts of viewers and especially so for Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) – the 9/11 attacks which took place in New York in 2001.

For the first time in eight years, fans will get to see Mac’s wife, Claire, (Jaime Ray Newman/ General Hospital, Eastwick) appear in the series through flashbacks in the Season 8 premiere, which honours the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Mac lost Claire on that fateful day as the planes crashed into the Twin Towers where she worked and her body was never found again. With Mac considering retirement in last season’s finale, the tragedy has prompted him to leave the crime lab for the DNA lab, where he pitches in to identify the remains of 9/11 victims. He also sets up a memorial that honours the first responders that were killed - the Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance.

We’re taking all of our characters back to that day,” executive producer Pam Veasy explained. “You will get to see them together. You see why Claire loved Mac, and why Mac loved her.” Indeed, the premiere episode brings us back to a very different Mac Taylor, from a hardened detective who has seen the world; to a man who had much more joy and hope, a man who was in love. Viewers get a glimpse into where the sentimental Mac came from, the one who could not bear to get rid of a beach ball his late wife had blown up, simply because ‘her breath is still in there’.

There is an interesting crossover between reel and real in this tribute episode, as Gary Sinise (a recipient of the Presidential Citizen’s Medal who has been involved in several 9/11 charities) had a personal involvement in setting up the Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance. His band, Lieutenant Dan Band, raised money to complete the memorial back in 2006. Sinise, like millions of people all over the world, had his life changed by the tragedy in a profound way.

In the aftermath of the attacks, Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo) and Don Flack (Eddie Cahill) meet for the first time amidst the rubble, while Jo Danville (Sela Ward) shows her perspective from the FBI office in Washington D.C.

Beyond the premiere, Jo will have to face demons from her past in Washington. A former crime lab agent Frank (Michael Weston, House) reappears in her life again, following their fallout over the rape case of a US senator’s daughter. This was Jo’s last case before she moved to New York, and Frank’s mistake in processing the evidence resulted in the serial rapist going scot-free.

Danny and Lindsay (Anna Belknap) also face new trials in their relationship as Danny’s promotion to Sergeant puts him back on the streets, as well as some extra distance between them. And who knows, Mac might be ready to love once again, for it is New York, the land of new seasons and new beginnings…

“Evil Dead” Remake Lensing Underway in New Zealand

“Evil Dead” Remake Lensing Underway in New Zealand

Principal photography has begun on “Evil Dead,” in Auckland, New Zealand and will wrap in early July 2012.

Ghost House Pictures is producing the much anticipated remake of Sam Raimi's 1981 cult-hit horror film “The Evil Dead”; the film that effectively launched the careers of Sam Raimi (“Spider-Man” franchise); RobTapert (“30 Days of Night”) and Bruce Campbell who played the Ash character and was Co-Producer of the original, now brings them back to produce an “Evil Dead” for today's audience that's high on the horror, gore, plot twists and more from a screenplay written by Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues. Executive Producers are J.R. Young, Nathan Kahane, Joseph Drake and Peter Schlessel.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA) and FilmDistrict have partnered with Ghost House Pictures on a worldwide deal - excluding U.K. and France - for Sony Pictures to distribute the remake of “Evil Dead.”

In the film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book Of The Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

A core cast of young, fresh talent includes Jane Levy (“Suburgatory”) as Mia; Shiloh Fernandez (“Deadgirl,” “Red Riding Hood”) as David; Lou Taylor Pucci (“Carriers”) as Eric; Jessica Lucas (“Cloverfield”) as Olivia and Elizabeth Blackmore (“Legend of the Seeker”) as Natalie.

This cast of burgeoning talent share the same spirit we had when creating the original,” says Tapert. “The desire to deliver an unexpected and outrageously scary movie experience for the audience.”

“Evil Dead” marks director Fede Alvarez' feature debut. Originally from Uruguay, Alvarez studied filmmaking and communications, later opening his own production and post production company. In 2005 he won a scholarship to complete a masters in screenwriting in Amsterdam. In November 2009, he posted his four-minute short “Panic Attack!,” which became an instant viral internet phenomenon prompting intense interest from Hollywood and Ghost House Pictures in particular.

We found a brilliant artist in Fede Alvarez. As a director, he understands what makes a story work and how to put the pieces together,” says Raimi. “I'm really excited to see this story, that I care deeply about, retold by such a fine storyteller.”

Opening across the Philippines in 2013, “Evil Dead” will be distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International. Visit www.sonypictures.com.ph to see the latest trailers, get free downloads and play free movie games.

MTRCB upholds “T3” suspension order

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) will not lift the 20-day preventive suspension order issued on TV5’s public affairs show "T3: Kapatid, Sagot Kita."

The MTRCB, through Spokesperson Atty. Eugenio Villareal, announced this at the final hearing of the case on Monday, May 14 at the MTRCB office in Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

Villareal explained that MTRCB arrived at this decision because the Kapatid network failed to present the reported temporary restraining order (TRO) as well as other requirements for the case.

“Bakit tayo nagpatuloy ngayon? Wala kami pong natatanggap na TRO,” . Villareal told members of the press after the closed-door hearing.

31 August 2011: Raffy, Erwin and Ben Tulfo during the press launch of TV5's newest public affairs program

“Paracetamol”

He described MTRCB’s preventive suspension as “panandaliang lunas” or “paracetamol” while the court can respond with their own version of “paracetamol,” a TRO.

He claims that while there was no TRO submitted, TV5’s party attempted to present oral motions.

“Sinubukan nilang mag-oral motion, pinagbigyan—denied, twice over. And then motion for reconsideration with no new arguments—denied po uli. And then nag-proceed na po dito sa adjudication proper, and then submission of evidence.”

“Oral motion to lift the preventive suspension, oral motion to suspend the entire proceeding,” Villareal enumerated the motions TV5 attempted to submit at the hearing.

“We want it clear na mayroon silang isa-submit ngayong araw. Yung taped on-air apology, dalawa, at saka yung copy ng (internal) suspension nila dun sa Tulfo brothers. They were not able to present that.”

The network then requested for an extension to submit said requirements which the panel allowed provided they so on Thursday, May 17.

Final hearing

Villareal also added that Monday’s hearing is the second and final one “kasi nag-agree na yung parties na ang paglatag ng ebidensya ay sa pamamagitan ng position paper with supporting affidavits.”

Once the parties agree, MTRCB will submit its position paper with supporting affidavits on or before May 17 while TV5 is given up to May 21 to file theirs.

The three-man adjudication panel ordered the continuation of the 20-day preventive suspension that was effective Thursday, May 10, the day of the preliminary hearing.

Villareal also clarified that since their case is administrative, May 17’s resolution will have no effect or influence on the charges the Santiagos and the Tulfos have filed in court.

TV5 statement

Meanwhile, TV5 issued the following statement in reaction to the MTRCB hearing:

"Despite MTRCB’s ruling, we will still wait for the resolution of our petition which we filed before the Court of Appeals. We still feel that MTRCB’s action is a violation of press freedom.”

Derek admits break-up with Angelica

Derek Ramsay admitted that his six-year relationship with Angelica Panganiban is over.

“Guys we truly appreciate all your concerns. Even though Angel and I are no longer together we still have the utmost respect for one another,” Derek said on his Twitter account.

Derek said in an interview weeks ago that he and Angelica were in a “cool-off” stage, but the actor-TV host said on Monday, May 14, that they have already called it quits and tweeted that they “are no longer together.”

Derek and Angelica were recently linked to Sam Pinto and John Lloyd Cruz, respectively.

29 February 2012: Actor, Derek Ramsay, seen during the launch of Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang at the Dolphy Theater, ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City.

“Guys pls don't believe any of the rumors about angel and john Lloyd. They did scenes for a movie and that's it. That's the truth. Tnx :),” Derek said.

Angelica and John Lloyd went to Vietnam recently to shoot a movie while Derek and Sam made a commercial last year.

Derek has also been defending Angelica from those saying negative things about her and their relationship on Twitter. He also asked people to stop making assumptions and just respect their decision.

“I'm not proud of the breakup! How I wish things were different. I can't be selfish and consider only my feelings,” Derek replied to someone on Twitter.

Derek, who always has good words for Angelica, asked the public to respect her as he will always “remain supportive of her.”

“There was no wasted time. I loved every minute we had together,” Derek tweeted.

Kim Chiu revealed that she is now more careful when it comes to love. She is also now more in control of her feelings and more open to her family about love and relationships.

“May control na and mas open na ako ngayon sa mga kapatid ko. Hinihingi ko na yung mga opinion nila. Dati kasi padalos-dalos lang. Mas careful and hindi lang ako yung kumikilala sa lalaki. Pati yung mga kapatid ko,” Kim said in an interview at the story conference of upcoming TV drama “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” in ABS-CBN compound on Friday, May 11.

She added that Xian Lim is working harder at getting to know her and her loved ones more. In fact, he calls Kim’s siblings “textmates” and he would sometimes give surprises and treats to her family.

Birthday surprise

“Noong birthday ko, nasa bundok ako, wala akong signal, shooting ng “The Healing.” Pag-uwi ko ng bahay, may puno ng flowers na heart-shaped. So, parang sabi ko sa mga kapatid ko, ‘Kanino naman galing ito?’ Tapos bigla siyang tumawag, nagtext dahil sinabihan siya ng mga kapatid ko na nasa house na ako,” Kim said.

What’s the status of their relationship?

“Hindi naman kailangan ng label,” Kim replies.

The Kapamilya stars finds Xian’s being a “hopeless romantic” and traditional ways in pursuing a girl endearing.

“Si Xian para siyang hopeless romantic and luma na tao. Yung traditional. Hindi lang siya sa akin, sa mga kapatid ko rin. Kinikilala pa namin siya, natutuwa naman yung mga kapatid ko sa kanya,” she said.

After starring in “My Binondo Girl,” Kim is happy to once again work with Xian in “Ina, Kapatid, Anak,” where they have Enchong Dee, Maja Salvador, Rayver Cruz, Ronaldo Valdez, Janice de Belen, Cherry Pie Picache, Eddie Gutierrez, Ariel Rivera and Jayson Gainza as co-stars.

“Sobrang thankful and very happy na binigyan ako ng ABS-CBN ng ganitong project ulit. Happy ako and overwhelmed na magkaroon ng ganitong kalaki ng project. Excited ako to start,” Kim said.

Mon Tulfo learns a lesson from airport incident

Journalist Ramon “Mon” Tulfo said the altercation between him and celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto at Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal 3 on Sunday, May 6 made him a better person.

“I became a better person. Sometimes, a humiliating experience will make you a better person,” Tulfo said in a taped interview aired on ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz” Sunday, May 13.

He also said the most important lesson he learned from the incident was, “You win some, you lose some. You cannot win them all sa away.”

Tulfo was shown in a Youtube video taking a beating from Raymart and company. The actor said, however, that it was Tulfo who threw the first punch that led to the brawl.

Mon Tulfo

Sympathy for the flight attendant

The broadcaster said he shouldn’t have interfered when he saw Claudine berating the Cebu Pacific flight attendant at the airport. He also insisted that before incident, he didn’t know the woman was Claudine.

“Pero hindi ko maatim na iwanan yung isang tao na inaapi,” he said. “Nakita ko yung isang matron na pinagagalitan yung isang maliit na empleyado ng Cebu Pacific. May katuwiran yung matron na magalit kasi naiwan yata yung bag niya kung saan siya nanggaling. Pero nung naging personal na siya and she started cussing and insulting the poor woman, nag-iba yung simpatiya ko.”

Tulfo added, “Nag-sympathize ako sa kanya (Claudine), e. Pero when she started getting personal. Sabi ko, ‘wow, kawawa naman yung babae.’ Porke’t kaibigan siya ng mga Gokongwei (headed by John Gokongwei, who owns Cebu Pacific), ganito ang pagtrato niya sa babae. So kinuha ko yung aking cellphone na may camera, kinunan ko.”

Tulfo explained that he was planning to use the photo for his column. He added he wanted to approach Claudine and ask her why she confronted the flight attendant.

Tulfo claims that trouble started when Raymart approached him. Tulfo he insists he never provoked the couple.

“Wala akong dahilan para i-provoke sila kasi hindi ko sila kalaban at ngayon ko lang sila nakita,” he said.

‘This cannot happen to me’

Before the airport scuffle happened, Tulfo thought he was not susceptible to this kind of incident.

“Di ba sabi, this can happen to other people, this cannot happen to me. Yan ang mindset ko noon. Kaya nung nasa ground na ako, sabi ko, ‘loko loko ka Mon, kung tumakbo ka hindi mangyayari sa iyo ito’,” he shared.

He admitted that he made a mistake by not running away.

“Dito ko nalaman na kahit magaling ka sa martial arts, sa ganun karaming tao, hindi mo kaya. Ang ginawa ko sana, nung nakita kong marami na sila, tumakbo na ako na parang duwag,” he continued “Ang akala ko sa sarili ko, at the time, pag tumakbo ako, ano na lang ang sasabihin ng tao sa akin. Hindi ako tumakbo. I stood my ground. Nagkamali ako kasi ang dami nila.”

Tulfo said his instinct while the brawl was happening was to run to his gun, which was checked-in at the time.

“Ang instinct ko is, tumakbo kung nasaan ang baril ko. Kukunin ko yung baril. And that would have been nasty,” he shared. “Naisip ko lang sa sarili ko, ‘Naku, kung mangyayari ito, patay si Mon Tulfo’.”

Tulfo also thanked the person who uploaded the video of the airport incident on Youtube.

‘Kung hindi sa video na yun, wala na ako ngayon, lugmok na ako ngayon sa public opinion,” he said.

‘I was there to protect’

For his part, Raymart said in a taped interview, also aired on “The Buzz” May 13 that ‘Hindi ko naman ginusto yung pangyayaring ito.”

“I was there to protect lang naman. Instinct yun,” Raymart said.

He also asked the public to consider where he was coming from as to why the beating happened.
