Blind Audition of 'The Voice Kids' Season 2 Kick Off this Saturday

Superstar coaches and performers Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, and Lea Salonga will once again search for kiddie artists with big voices in the second season of the top-rating and Twitter-trending “The Voice Kids” starting this Saturday (June 6).

This season, the coaches are more aggressive than ever, using new tricks to convince an artist to join their respective teams in the Blind Auditions – the first stage of the competition.

“What we’re really looking for are kids who can sing better than our Season 1’s Top 4. And I think we found them,” said coach Lea.

Coach Sarah, who mentored Season 1 grand winner Lyca Gairanod, shared, “It’s hard to find really unique voices. It’s where we come in as coaches to help them improve as artists.”

As in the first season, each coach must have signed up 18 kiddie artists for their teams by the end of the Blind Auditions.

“Yes, voice is the defining thing. With kids, there’s a whole lot more involved. I have a good feeling this season I’ll find somebody special,” said coach Bamboo.

The pilot episodes features a fashionista, a football heartthrob, an artist who likes to impersonate other singers, a kid who will make coach Lea teary-eyed, and a boy who will proudly represent his tribe in Bukidnon.

GMA Artist Center releases statement on Steven Silva

GMA Artist Center has released an official statement regarding Steven Silva on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.

Steven Silva 450x268

Steven, the winner of the fifth season of the Kapuso Network's artista search "StarStruck," recently voiced out his dissatisfaction with how GMA handled his career.

His contract has already expired and although there's an offer from the network to renew, he's still not decided if he's going to sign again due to what happened to his career for the past years.

GMA Artist Center, on the other hand, said that they did their obligations to Steven.

Here's the official statement of GMA Artist Center on Steven Silva:

"Through GMA Artist Center, Steven Silva was given numerous opportunities to develop and strengthen his skills as an artist. He starred in several television projects including Love Bug, Koreana, Time of My Life, Together Forever, Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas, Taste Buddies, and Sunday All Stars. He also appeared in the movie Just One Summer produced by GMA Films.

"GMA Artist Center also enrolled him in various workshops, Filipino (Tagalog) Proficiency Training, arranged product endorsements and booked him in numerous local, regional and international events.

"It is unfortunate that even after his management team has greatly invested on and fulfilled its obligations to Steven, he did not appreciate the efforts made to further his career.

"GMA Artist Center wishes him well in his future endeavors."

Nyoy Volante, Jay-R, Melai, Edgar Allan Guzman Reveal Which One Of Them They Want To Win In The Grand Showdown Of 'Your Face Sounds Familiar' This Saturday

THE FOUR FINALISTS in "Your Face Sounds Familiar" were presented to the press last Tuesday: Nyoy Volante, Jay-R, Edgar Allan Guzman and Melai Cantiveros. Nyoy was top scorer twice for his great impersonations of Justin Bieber and Luciano Pavarotti. Also Jay-R for his impersonations of Kenny Rogers and local rocker Pepe Smith. EA (Edgar Allan) won once for doing Vice Ganda and, Melai, also once, for her knock out performance as Elizabeth Ramsey.

Nyoy (who recorded the highest number of score with 257 points) also excelled in his impersonation of Sylvia LaTorre singing 'Sa Kabukiran'. The other music icons he imitated were Mike Hanopol, Freddie Mercury, Katy Perry, Rod Stewart, Yoyoy Villame and Michael Jackson.

Jay-R (second highest scorer with 246 points) also copied Tom Jones, Enrique Iglesias, Alanis Morisette, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Vic Sotto and Billy Crawford.

Melai (202 points, just like EA) likewise did Nora Aunor, Shirley Bassey, Cyndi Lauper, Rihanna, Jay Contreras of Kamikazee, Salbakuta and Grace Jones.

Edgar Allan did awesome impersonations of MC Hammer, John Legend, Gary V, Usher, Ricky Martin, Victor Wood, Ed Sheeran, Apple d App and Toni Gonzaga.

What have they realized as the show comes to an end? "Na ang dami pala naming pinagdaanan," says Jay-R. "We went through having prosthetic make up, hairbrushes and wigs, pero ang bilis ng lahat ng mga nangyari."

"Para ngang hindi namin naramdaman," says Melai. "Pero proud na proud ako sa sarili ko na nagawa ko lahat yun. Kasi noong unang i-offer sa akin ito, I had my doubts. Kaya ko ba? Kasi hindi naman talaga ako singer. BaKa mapahiya lang ako rito. Pero na-enjoy ko talaga ito at nagpapasalamat ako ngayon na napasama ako rito kasi dumami ang rackets ko sa mga fiesta. Kagagaling ko lang sa Capiz, pinagaya nila sa'kin si Cyndi Lauper."

Which of the celebrities they impersonated was the easiest and the most difficult? Nyoy: "Easiest for me is doing Aegis with Jolina Magdangal kasi palamuti lang ako sa background, pagita-gitara. Hardest was Justin Bieber, pero blessing ni Lord, dun pa ako unang nanalo."

Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner: His Man to Woman Transition Procedure Revealed

It's everytime. Social media is on fire immediately after the 1976 Olympic decathlon gold medalist and reality TV star Bruce Jenner appeared for the first time as Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair Magazine July 2015 issue.

"This is about my life and who I am as a person. It's not about the fanfare, it's not about people cheering in the stadium, it's not about going down the street and everybody giving you 'that a boy, Bruce,' pat on the back, O.K. this is about your life," an emotional Caitlyn shared with V.F. contributing editor Buzz Bissinger during his two-day photoshoot for this cover issue.

Contrary to what others may believed, Jenner revealed that he has not had genital surgery (yet). What his transition to what she looks right now gave him panic attack.

"What did I just do? What did I just do to myself?" he revealed telling himself after the procedure. So a counselor from the Los Angeles Gender Center came to his house so he could talk to a professional assuring him that such reaction is normal and were often induced by pain medication, and the second-guessing is nothing but normal and temporary.

So what procedure did he went through in order to feminize his features?

Beauty expert Dra. Vicki Belo shared on Instgram how the 10-hour facial-feminization surgery made Jenner looked like every inch a woman.
