'The Voice Kids' Top 6 Fight for Public Votes to Advance to Grand Finals

Six young artists with big voices and big dreams are ready to battle it out this weekend (August 22 and 23) as they sing for public votes in the highly anticipated live semi finals round of “The Voice Kids.”

Who among Kyle Echarri and Zephanie Dimaranan of Team Sarah, Elha Nympha and Sassa Dagdag of Team Bamboo, and Reynan Del-anay and Esang De Torres of Team Lea will stand out?

The four artists who will get the highest percentage of votes from the public will move to the grand finals next week. This means that one of the coaches might have no representative in the grand finals, or have two star artists who will complete the Final 4, just like what happened to coach Sarah in Season 1.

Make sure to tune in to the semi finals as the full voting mechanics will be revealed during the live show.

“I believe they will be up to the challenge of live shows. They know how to tell a story and their hearts are strong and big,” said coach Lea Salonga about her top artists Reynan, 11 and Esang, 8, the youngest artist in the Top 6.

Reynan touched viewers in the pilot episode of the competition where he wholeheartedly sang “Tagumpay Nating Lahat” and even impressed the coaches when he said he wanted to make his Manobo tribe in Bukidnon proud.

And from being coach Lea’s “Mini Me” in “It’s Showtime,” Esang got the coveted three-chair turn in her blind audition and has never looked back since. Coach Bamboo, meanwhile, sees real potential in his two remaining artists Elha, 10 and Sassa, 12.

Belter and banana cue vendor Elha entered the vocal competition to help her family. Now, coach Bamboo helps her reach her full potential to achieve her dreams.

Another stand-out in the blind auditions was Sassa, whose unique sound and performance of “Chandelier” captivated the coaches. Coach Bamboo also considers her a true artist and “a talent that I think I can hone.”

Coach Sarah, on the other hand, promises to help Kyle, 13 and Zephanie, 10 get better and make them shine on stage.

Kyle, the football heartthrob of Cebu, was the first-ever young artist to appear in the Season 2 of “The Voice Kids,” and since his blind audition, he has charmed viewers with his good looks and sweet voice.

Not to be outdone is the young diva from Laguna, Zephanie, who has shown a lot of improvement in the Sing-offs with her explosive and fun performance, a far cry from the reserved artist audiences saw in the blind auditions.

Whose voice will prove the strongest? Which artists will advance to the grand finals next weekend?

Since “The Voice Kids” Season 2 premiered on Philippine television, viewers nationwide have watched the kids share their dreams and sing their hears out, making it the most watched TV program in the country in June and July. It recorded its all-time high national TV rating of 46.3%, based on data from Kantar Media.

Direk Joey Reyes praises Alden Richards

Director Joey Reyes recently commended Alden Richards on Twitter, saying that the "Eat Bulaga!" host is a "cut above the rest."

The director was flattered that Alden took time to send him a thank you text for a blog he wrote about him and the "AlDub" phenomenon.

In the blog, Direk Joey talked about Alden's sudden rise to fame - the popularity that was made possible by the noontime show after just a couple of months. It was something that GMA-7 (his mother studio that he has been for years now) wasn't able to give him.

And lastly ... the kid's got what it takes. He's got talent --- and it completely befuddles/confuses/discombobulates me as to why his mother studio never made the most of what he has to turn him into a much bigger star than he has become in the here and now.  What's that? It only took Eat Bulaga two months to turn him into the Bae ng Bayan where he has been around for ... uh, years?

The blog also touched on Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub (the other half of the AlDub tandem) and how she gave "new adrenaline" to the barangay gang of Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros.

The difference between Ms. Mendoza and about 90% of the wannabe-artistas out there is that she does not need it.  Come to think of it, we are not even sure if this is what she really wanted since the girl is a graduate of the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the De la Salle College of Saint Benilde.  Get this: she did her apprenticeship in a food establishment in upstate New York City, OK?  Like the rest of the graduates of SHRM of CSB, she isn't out there to cook burgers or doughnuts.

Her rise to fame is accidental and she seems to be having fun.  Her addition toEat Bulaga's roster of Kabarkads is a case of absolutely perfect timing.  When she assumed the character of Yaya Dub, much harassed caregiver to Wally Bayola's hilarious Lola Nidora, that whole gang with Jose Manalo and master chameleon Paolo Ballesteros  raiding the baranggays of Manila exploded with a new adrenaline overload.

Meanwhile, a new character named Duhrizz appeared in the noontime show's "kalyeserye." She is another grandchild of Lola NiDora and she seems to like Alden as well, posing an added threat to the much-awaited meeting of AlDub.

Susan Roces Defends Daughter Grace Poe From Detractors Who Do A Demolition Job On Her

NOW THAT THE adoptive mother of the "inaaping ampon" has started talking to take she cudgels for her daughter and defend her, the foes of Sen. Grace Poe should all the more shake rattle and roll with fright because, for sure, more people will now sympathize with her as she's starting to appear as the underdog. The Queen of Philippine Movies, Susan Roces, said her piece at the renewal of her contract with Champion Detergent and she really said quite a mouthful.

"Never namin siyang tinawag na adopted o ampon," she says. "Lalong never ko siyang tinawag na pulot. How dare they use that word! Grace is our daughter.

Alden Richards and Yaya Dub: Fan Met Her Idol in 2010, Now Love Brings Them Together

Alden Richards and Nicomaine Mendoza of the phenomenal Kalyeserye love team AlDub may not yet see each other eye to eye, face to face but sometime in 2010 during a Candy Magazine event, the two, based on these photos, already crossed path and had their pictures taken together. Alden was then a newcomer while Maine was just a fan.

HOT TOPIC NOW: "Fate Brought Them Together"

AlDub Admins Statement:

These photos of Alden Richards and Nicomaine Mendoza is now creating a buzz around Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Negative or Positive?

Na-disappoint ang mga fans kasi ibig sabihin daw nito ay nagkakilala na sila at nagkita na.

BUT!! Surprisingly, here's the admin's side of investigation,

Candy Fair 2010 Event's highlights was the PBB Teen Clash housemates like Ryan Bang, Ivan Dorschner, Bret Jackson and other PBB teens and Elmo magalona.

The plan of Nicomaine mendoza to go to this event was NOT!, NOT about Alden Richards, its about the event per se, its about ELMO Magalona and Daniel, she tweeted it after the event, read it on the comment section.
