Cine Filipino Film Festival 2013 Awards Winners
The winners of the first CineFilipino Film Festival were announced tonight during the awarding ceremony held in Genting Club, Resorts World Manila.
The winners are:

FEATURE FILMS
The festival spearheaded by PLDT-Smart Foundation, MediaQuest, Studio 5 and Unitel Entertainment opened its doors to interested filmmakers last August 2012 and attracted almost 150 entries from across the country. Due to the overwhelming response, the festival committee faced a grueling task of selecting the eight best entries. The chosen filmmakers received a seed grant of P1.5 million to support their project.

WE’RE GLAD Angel Locsin is trying to knock some sense into the heads of her and Marian Rivera’s diehard fans who can be unreasonably fanatical at times. After she and Marian posed together for a cover shoot (along with Judy Ann Santos, Charlene Gonzales and Anne Curtis) for Rogue Magazine, their fans again exchanged heated words in social media to uphold their own idol and berate the other one. The shoot’s photographer, Mark Nicdao, then posted on Instagram showing Angel and Marian looking sweet together with the note: “It’s clear your idols are okay so stop the hating. Ur negative vibe is not welcome here.”
Angel concurs and says she and Marian have no personal issues with each other. At the shoot, she found Marian friendly and always smiling. They even made the usual beso-beso to each other and were exchanging stories like old friends during the photo shoot.
“We’re both tired that people always compare with each other at yung fans, nag-aaway pa gayong kami mismo, wala naman kaming issue at all,” she says. “Kaya sana, tigilan na nila dahil wala kaming away between us. Tigilan na yung mga panlalait sa isa’t isa kasi kaming lahat, masaya kami noong shoot.”
KATRINA HALILI is glad to be reunited with Director Maryo de los Reyes in ”Magkano Ba ang Pag-ibig” that starts airing this Monday. Maryo was her director in the soap where she played the lead, “Magdusa Ka”, which was even nominated in the international Emmy Awards.
“Iba talaga si Direk Maryo J dahil he brings out the best in his actors,” says Katrina, whose daughter Katrence turned one year old last Wednesday. “Dito sa ‘Magkano Ba ang Pag-ibig’, tatlo kaming aktres na nag-Valentina ang nagkasama-sama. Una si Tita Celia Rodriguez na nag-Valentina kay Gov. Vilma Santos sa ‘Lipad Darna Lipad’ in 1973. Then si Alessandra de Rossi na nag-Valentina on TV to Angel Locsin’s Darna noong 2005, at ako na nag-Valentina kay Marian Rivera sa 2009 version ng ‘Darna’.”
She and Katrence’s dad, singer Kris Lawrence, hosted a Candyland-themed birthday party for their baby. “She’s really a blessing kasi ang bait-bait, hindi iyakin at all. Ganyan din daw ako noong baby ako.”
So do they plan to get married soon for the sake of the baby? “Huwag muna. Siguro pag 30 na ako. Mag-iipon muna kami. I’m having a dive resort constructed in El Nido, Palawan, para naman may income pa rin ako pag walang trabaho rito. Mas conscious na ko sa mga gastusin ngayon. Di gaya ng dati, wala akong pakialam sa bills, bayad lang ng bayad, but now, teka magtipid naman tayo sa kuryente, sa tubig.”
So Kris doesn’t live with them? “Hindi, dun pa rin siya sa pad nila ni Jay-R. Sila talaga ang magka-live in, e. Malapit lang naman sa bahay ko sa New Manila ang bahay nila, kaya madalas siyang nakakadalaw sa’min ng baby naming si Kate. Napakabait ng parents niya, laging may pinapadalang supplies sa amin ni Kate from the States.”
What can she say now that Sen. Bong Revilla, who helped her at the height of the Hayden Kho scandal and who’s now in the eye of the storm due to the pork barrel brouhaha? “Wala. I’m just praying for him na malampasan niya ang mga pinagdaraanan niya ngayon.”
Top 10 Cutest TV Newsmen 2013
Spot.ph has released its annual list of 10 Cutest TV Newsmen for this year.
ABS-CBN Bacolod's Ryan Gamboa ranked first among 10 Filipino newsmen described as "eye candy."
Gamboa co-anchors the ABS-CBN News Channel's (ANC) noontime telecast "Dateline Philippines," from the network's news center in Negros Occidental.
The Top 10 list, said to be an offering of "brainless fun," also included ANC's "Executive Class" host David Celdran, who placed 2nd; ABS-CBN Sports commentator Anton Roxas, 4th; and "TV Patrol" reporter Jeff Canoy, 6th. Other news personalities in the list were PTV-4's Sandro Hermoso and JC Tejano, 3rd and 7th, respectively; GMA-7's Nielsen Donato and Bam Alegre, 5th and 10th, respectively; and TV5's Carlo Castillo and Gerard Garcia, 8th and 9th, respectively.

Angel Locsin Photo Scandal Surfaced; Angel Reacts
The alleged photo scandal, allegedly of Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin, which is now getting shares on social networks is actually of Lingerie model Emma Glover.
Glover is known for posting nude photos online: both on her website and on her Twitter account.
The above photo comparison of the two tells a lot.
Any graphic artist would instantly distiguish the fake from the original one because of the color and texture. The version with Angel’s face (left) would definitely be a perfect candidate for a Photoshop disaster’s list.

All Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere are now lifted. Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 - 20 mm per hour (heavy-intense) within the 700 km diameter of the Typhoon.
"Odette" will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, MIMAROPA and CALABARZON. Residents in these areas are advised to be alert against flashfloods and landslides.
Moreover, sea travel is still risky over the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and over the western seaboard of Southern Luzon.
