FANTASTIC BEASTS New Heroes and Villains Movie Posters

The character posters of Warner Bros. Pictures' new fantasy adventure "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" have just debuted online, allowing fans to get to know the new heroes and villains much better.

NEWT SCAMANDER (Eddie Redmayne)
Newt Scamander is a Magizoologist who has been traveling the world to find and document magical creatures, hoping to educate the wizarding world about why they are important and need to be protected. In his travels, he has rescued a wide variety of beasts, great and small, which he keeps in a case that magically provides more than enough room for the menagerie he cares for and protects. Newt is an outsider, a bit awkward, and more comfortable with creatures than his fellow wizards and witches. Hailing from England, he was once a student at Hogwarts but was expelled for endangering human life with a beast. Yet there was one professor who fought for him, a certain Albus Dumbledore. No one could have imagined then that Newt would someday write one of Hogwarts' most important textbooks: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

PORPENTINA GOLDSTEIN (Katherine Waterston)
Tina (short for Porpentina) Goldstein is a smart and determined witch who lives in New York and works for MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America). She was once an Auror but was demoted to a menial desk job after overstepping her duties when her heart overruled her head and she used unauthorized magic. She wants desperately to regain her status as an investigator, which puts her directly in the path of a visiting wizard named Newt Scamander. Tina is very close to her younger sister and roommate, Queenie.
QUEENIE GOLDSTEIN (Alison Sudol)
Queenie Goldstein is Tina's vivacious and slightly quirky younger sister, who is undeniably beautiful, but there is much more to her than meets the eye. Queenie works a menial desk job at MACUSA in the same department as Tina, but she doesn't have her sister's driving ambition to be an Auror. In fact, truth be told, the free-spirited Queenie would prefer not to work at all. Queenie has a good heart and would do anything for her sister. She is also a Legilimens, meaning she can read minds.

JACOB KOWALSKI (Dan Fogler)
Jacob Kowalski is a No-Maj (American for Muggle) who works in a cannery but dreams of becoming a baker, making fresh and delicious treats. Unable to secure a loan, Jacob seems resigned to his fate, but everything changes when he encounters Newt Scamander and is inadvertently swept up in the mayhem caused by Newt's magical beasts. At first, Jacob thinks he must be imagining things, but soon realizes he is on an adventure beyond even his wildest dreams.
PERCIVAL GRAVES (Colin Farrell)
Percival Graves is an Auror and the Director of Magical Security at MACUSA, making him one of its highest-ranking and most respected officials. When Graves discovers that Newt Scamander has made an unauthorized trip to New York with a case filled with forbidden magical creatures, he is very suspicious of his intentions and concerned about the potential to break the American wizarding world's most important law: the Statute of Secrecy. Graves seems to demonstrate care and compassion to the young and particularly vulnerable Credence Barebone. But to what end?

MARY LOU BAREBONE (Samantha Morton)
Mary Lou Barebone is a No-Maj and the outspoken leader of the New Salem Philanthropic Society (NSPS), otherwise known as the Second Salemers. Bent on exterminating all magic, Mary Lou fiercely crusades against the wizards and witches she is convinced live among them. She enlists in the effort her adopted children, who all live in fear of her wrath.
CREDENCE BAREBONE (Ezra Miller)
Credence Barebone, the adopted middle child of Mary Lou Barebone, appears withdrawn, extremely shy and far more vulnerable than his two sisters. Credence is defenseless against the abuse that comes in response to the slightest infraction of Mary Lou's strict rules. But his loneliness also makes him susceptible to the manipulation of Percival Graves, who has taken a personal interest in Credence.

SERAPHINA PICQUERY (Carmen Ejogo)
Seraphina Picquery is the President of the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA). She strictly enforces the Statute of Secrecy—meant to protect the hidden American wizarding community from No-Majs. However, mysterious events are now threatening to expose them, which President Picquery fears could lead to war. The arrival of Newt Scamander, with his case full of forbidden magical beasts, only complicates matters, and she directs MACUSA's Director of Magical Security, Percival Graves, to deal with it. A graduate of America's Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Seraphina revealed her promise early in life when she became one of the extremely rare students to be offered a place in all four houses of the school. She chose Horned Serpent.
GNARLAK (Ron Perlman)
Gnarlak is a Goblin who owns The Blind Pig, an underground speakeasy that caters to certain elements of the wizarding community in Prohibition-era New York. He is a rather shady character, whose questionable loyalties can easily be bought, and who will double cross anyone…for the right price.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling.
Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four "Harry Potter" blockbusters.
The film marks the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling, whose beloved "Harry Potter" books were adapted into the top-grossing film franchise of all time. Her script was inspired by the Hogwarts textbook "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," written by her character Newt Scamander.
Warner Bros. Pictures has slated "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" for a Philippine release in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX on November 17, 2016.

(Video) James Reid and Nadine Lustre 'Till I Met You' Car and Bath Tub Love Scenes That Made to MTRCB Complaint Desk

"NO TO SELECTIVE CENSORSHIP!" loyal JaDine and 'Till I Met You" fans cry in relation to the complaint filed by some concern viewers to Movie & Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB) on what they called inappropriate scenes aired by Kapamilya primetime series "Till I Met You".

MTRCB summons the people behind the show including directors Antoinette Jadaone and Andoy Ranay, executive producer Arnel Nacario, and writer Shugo Praico to a conference scheduled on November 10 as a response to several complaints they received from both social and conventional media about the "steamy car and bath tub love scenes" of James Reid and Nadine Lustre who played newlywed Basti and Iris in the series on October 25, 26, 27, and 28 episodes where instead of SPG it was only classified by the network "Parental Guidance."

In a letter addressed to the the production, MTRCB said, "Considering that 'PG' and 'SPG' ratings still admit the reality of having young audiences, the Board shall expect you to present your side at the said conference which shall be before a Committee particularly designated for the matter."

A Monster Calls Movie Review: A Heartbreaking Story About Grief And Loss, Faith And Courage

WE'VE ALREADY seen two films so far this year about a child who has a supernatural creature for a friend. First was Steven Spielberg's "The BFG", where an orphan girl befriends a lonely giant. Sadly, it flopped at the tills. Then there's Disney's "Pete's Dragon", a remake of a 70s film about an orphan boy and a fire-breathing dragon, which also did mediocre business at the box office.

Now comes "A Monster Calls", based on the award-winning children's book of Patrick Ness, who also wrote the film's screenplay. This is directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, who earlier did "The Impossible", a movie about a family whose members get separated from each other after a killer tsunami strikes their holiday place in Thailand.

The young hero is Conor (Lewis MacDougall), a lonely 12-year old boy who's bullied in school and lives in a small town in England. His mom (Felicity Jones, who was just seen in "Inferno") is stricken with a terminal illness and is separated from his dad (Toby Kebbell, Messala in the "Ben Hur" remake) who now lives in America with a new wife and child. His mom is preparing him to stay with his grandmother (Sigourney Weaver) after she is gone, but Conor resists the idea and is very hostile to his grandma.

After having a nightmare, Conor sees the ancient yew tree on a nearby churchyard springs into life and talks to him. The monstrous tree (voice by Liam Neeson) turns out to be a good storyteller and says he will tell Conor three stories, but he requires Conor to later on tell the story about his own nightmare that the boy wants to keep to himself.

The stories are told in beautiful water color illustrations. The first one concerns a prince who kills his own bride and still gets well loved by his people. The second story is about an apothecary and a parson who has no faith. The third one is about an invisible man who will later on reflect Conor's own feeling of being invisible himself.

The singular message of the seemingly ambiguous stories is that people are not always good or bad but somewhere in between. "There's not always a good guy", says the monster tree. Conor's turn to tell his own story and thereby face his own fears is the film's climactic finale which is beautifully and breathtakingly staged on the big screen.

The film is not your typical escapist fantasy movie but carries a valid message that deals with issues exploring grief, courage and faith. If you're the type who easily gets affected by sentimental tales, be sure to bring some tissue paper when you watch this film about coming to terms with the loss of a loved one. It doesn't have any melodramatic twists in its plotting but just plain heartbreakingly true emotions with a tinge of melancholy. The fantasy elements are spectacularly rendered with first rate visual computer imagery and even the stunning animated portions are all convincingly presented with great imagination.

The child actor who plays the lead role is not the usual overly cute boy we see in movies, but Lewis MacDougall is very believable as the boy who is going through a very difficult period in his life. He certainly interacts well with everyone: his dying mom, his caring grandma, even with his absentee father who asks him to visit him in the U.S. But his best scenes, of course, are with the monster tree (done using a green screen) and it's to Liam Neeson's credit that he does great voice acting in the part.

One of the best scenes in the movie is when, out of pent up anger and spite, Conor destroys his grandma's sitting room, including a much treasured antique clock that has survived generations. When his grandma comes later and sees what he has done, there is no exchange of words at all, but you can feel the thick layer of pain and anguish in both characters in their very emotional journey. We're hoping this movie, that has something to convey to viewers of all ages, will find its audience and subsequently reward it at the box office.

Tom Rodriguez Says His Role In 'Someone To Watch Over Me' Is His Most Physically And Emotionally Draining Role Ever

TOM RODRIGUEZ says his role as TJ, a young family man afflicted with early onset Alzheimer's disease, is so demanding as his scenes are mostly physically and emotionally draining. "I've played other drama roles before like in 'My Husband's Lover' pero ibang klase itong 'Someone to Watch Over Me'," he says. "Dahil sa sakit niya, TJ will have a violent streak. Masasaktan niya ang pamilya niya, lalo na ang misis niya, si Lovi Poe as Joanna na nasugatan dahil sa kagagawan niya."

Tom as TJ will tell Lovi to just commit him to a hospice in case he gets worse, but Lovi says she cannot do that as she remains committed to him. To make matters worse, their baby, Joshua, gets sick and his fever keeps on recurring. He is diagnosed to have dengue fever and Tom goes berserk in the hospital when the nurses won't mind them when the baby needs blood transfusion.

He feels so useless that he cannot personally take care of his sick child because of his worsening condition. The kid improves when Tom gives his own blood to him for transfusion. Baby Joshua is played by Caleb Punzalan, who's really so cute and cuddly that viewers like him so much as shown in the great feedback on him in social media. Till I Met You's car and bathtub scenes too hot for MTRCB, called for a conference #TIMYPriorities

#TIMYGetGoing 'Till I Met You' directors and producers have been called to attend a conference with the Movies and Television Review and Classification Board or MTRCB a week from now.

It is in connection with Till I Met You's episodes last October 25, 26, 27 and 28, which showed sexy and suggestive scenes between its two lead characters, Basti and Iris, portrayed by JaDine James Reid and Nadine Lustre.

October 25 episode for an instance showed James and Nadine doing something inside the car, while the episode last October 27 showed them enjoyin' a moment together in a bathtub.

I remember those episodes were already labeled as SPG-rated, but still MTRCB won't let it pass without having a conference with the people behind TIMY.

MTRCB has just announced via its Twitter page that it has set a conference with them on November 10 to talk about those 4 aforementioned episodes.

@MTRCBgov: "MTRCB calls "Till I Met You" for a conference re: 25, 26, 27, and 28 October 2016 episodes.
https://t.co/M0aF7vkqQA"

It made me wonder why MTRCB has been very critical to scenes like that, and not on too violent scenes in other shows like 'Ang Probinsyano', which airs in a much earlier timeslot.

TIMY fans also noted that MTRCB wasn't as critical on 'Magpahanggang Wakas', which also had intimate scenes done in public places between Arci Munoz and Jericho Rosales, as well as that shower scene between Arci and John Estrada. 'Magpahanggang Wakas' airs right before Till I Met You.
