Bettina Carlos Denies She's Already Living In With Raymart Santiago

BETTINA CARLOS was grilled about her relationship with Raymart Santiago at the launch of Indomie, a new brand of instant noodles made by Indofood, the largest noodle factory in Indonesia. Indomie was launched in 1972 and is already a top seller in so many countries, but it’s only now that it’s being introduced in our country by Roshan Mirani of Mirage Manufacturing. They chose Bettina and her daughter Gammy as their endorser, along with Dino Guevarra and his son Joaquin.
Bettina was asked during the Q&A what the real score about her and Raymart Santiago? “No, we’re not in a relationship,” she says. “Hindi ko alam kung bakit kami nali-link. Nagkasama kami sa ‘Villa Quintana’ and we became friends. Pero never naging kami.”
It’s said that their photos were posted in social media and she was even with her daughter at the home of Raymart, so some wags quickly concluded that they’re already living in.
“He invited us for dinner. Hindi lang ako kundi pati mga kasama namin sa show, pati production staff. He cooks and I also cook kasi I took up culinary arts. Potluck dinner yun so nagluto ako, nagluto rin siya. Pero hindi ako nakatira roon. Dala-dalawa ang bahay ko, bakit ako titira roon?”
Right now, she’s also busy with two shows. “I’m co-hosting ‘Idol sa Kusina’ with Chef Boy Logro and I’m the provincial host of what will be the biggest talent show in the country, ‘Bet ng Bayan’, hosted by Regine Velasquez and Alden Richards. I do the hosting sa Mindanao and Visayas.”
Why was Bettina chosen as endorser of Indomie? “We want someone active in social media and Bettina is very active in her accounts,” says Mr. Mirani. “We also want a mom and someone who’s very articulate. Bettina fits all that, so we got her and her daughter after we learned that they really like our instant noodles.”
“Masarap kasi talaga ang mi goreng stir fry noodles nila that come in various flavours like barbecue chicken, rending, pedas and satay,” says Bettina. “Pinoys working abroad are already familiar with Indomie kasi imported nga ito and I’m glad it’s now also available locally.”

'Trenderas' Isabelle de Leon, Katrina ‘Suklay Diva’ Velarde and Lara Maigue Serenade Fans at Pasig Public Market

 TV5 Press Statement

The 3 up-and-coming stars of TV5's newest musical-comedy-drama program, "Trenderas", recently headlined the Kapatid Network's Palengke Tour in Pasig City.

After capturing the audience’s attention with their exceptional vocal prowess in various prestigious events such as the 2014 Ad Summit and the annual PBA Leo Awards, among many others, the three young and up-and-coming stars of TV5’s newest musical-drama-comedy series, “Trenderas”, surely made quite the impact when they headlined TV5's palengke tour in Pasig Public Market on Sunday.

Amidst the hustle and bustle on a typical early Saturday morning in the perennially busy Pasig Public Market, buyers, vendors and passers-by could not help but be captivated by the charm and impressive voices of Isabelle de Leon, Katrina ‘Suklay Diva’ Velarde and Lara Maigue as the talented trio gave the crowd a taste of what is to be expected in the already much-anticipated beginning of “Trenderas”, which is set to finally premiere on September 13 at 9:00pm.

The Pasigueños who gathered in the event widely enjoyed the sneak peek of “Trenderas”, seeing how they could easily relate to the unique and aspirational plot of the show. “Trenderas” chronicles the exciting journey of Isabelle, Katrina and Lara, who play the role of three best friends who make ends meet by selling trinkets on the street while at the same time sharing their collective dream of one day becoming professional singers. The program closely follows their inspiring transformation from seemingly ordinary ‘tinderas’ to the country’s newest trending stars.

Another remarkable event highlight was when the audience was treated to a free mini-concert of sorts with the three young stars performing for the first time in public the official and original catchy theme song of “Trenderas”. Aside from these and very much in-theme with the program’s plot, the 3 girls also judged an entertaining singing competition featuring select vendors from the Pasig Public Market, who were rewarded with grocery items and various TV5 premium items as prizes for their much-applauded fifteen seconds of fame on stage.

Also joining in on the Saturday morning fun were the two other recently-launched weekend shows of the Kapatid Network, beginning with “Quiet Please! Bawal ang Maingay” (Sundays at 8:00PM), where select audience members participated in a fun game, and “Talentadong Pinoy 2014” (Saturdays at 7:00PM), with the first-ever Ultimate Talentado Joshua “Yoyo Tricker” Davis performing alongside Talentadong Pinoy 2014 stand-outs “Synchro Mover” and “Probinsyano Pupeteer”, to the delight of the whole crowd.

Be sure to be on the lookout for the country’s newest trending sensations, with Isabelle, Katrina and Lara all set to soon invade the rest of the country as they continue to headline TV5’s nationwide palengke tour this month, kicking-off on September 6 in Commonwealth Market, followed by September 13 in Divisoria market, and finally on September 21 in Capiz Bacolod Market.
