Manolo Pedrosa MMK Episode Airs this Saturday

MMK Press Release

Former “Pinoy Big Brother All In” housemate Manolo Pedrosa marks his acting debut on ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (September 13) as he portrays the character of Hiro Mallari, a teenage boy whose life turned upside down when he lost his one true love, Michelle Ann “Mitch” Bonzo, to be played by Janella Salvador, in a tragic accident.

Mitch was one of the seven Bulacan State University students who died after they were swept away in the Madlum River during a school field trip in Bulacan.

To star in ‘MMK’ is such a huge blessing for a newcomer like me. Of course, I still have a lot of things to learn in terms of acting but I’ll definitely do my best to give justice to the role, especially since Hiro also inspires others who have lost their loved ones,” said Manolo after his acting workshop last Tuesday (September 9).

Also part of the upcoming episode are Lollie Mara, Pinky Amador, Paul Salas, CJ Navato, Raquel Montessa, Yves Flores, and Trina Legaspi. It is directed by Nuel Naval and written by Arah Jell Badayos. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos and creative manager Mel Mendoza-del Rosario.

Capturing the hearts of Filipino viewers all over the world for the past 23 years, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” has legions of fans from different generations who cried, laughed, fell in love, and got inspired through the real-life narratives of the show’s letter-senders.

Free Yourself From Dry, Sensitive Skin and Fully Embrace Life with GSK Physiogel® Free In My Skin Movement

Manila, Philippines - To be free is the right of every modern woman. The freedom to make her own decisions and pursue her dreams and passion.

But that freedom should begin from within, from loving oneself and liberating it from insecurities. Being free is being comfortable in one’s own skin. Unfortunately dry, sensitive skin may cause emotional struggles and self-doubt, making them miss out on life’s many opportunities each day.

Physiogel®, the number-one most prescribed moisturizer by dermatologists, empowers every Filipina to fully participate in life with the launch of the Free In My Skin Movement.

EMPOWERING WOMEN

The Free In My Skin Movement embodied by model, TV host and entrepreneur Patti Grandidge, seeks to bring together and honor women who overcame their insecurities and became the best version of themselves.

Patti, one of the country’s freshest and most beautiful faces, admitted that she used to be like one of every two Filipinas who suffered from dry and sensitive skin.

We used to travel a lot when I was younger and getting exposed to different climates took a toll on my skin, making it sensitive, itchy, red and dry. This made me quite insecure, and in the business I am in, it is always about first impressions,” she said.

Patti knew that if she wanted to be in control of her life and achieve her goals, she had to overcome her insecurities, starting with her skin.

Unlike ordinary moisturizers I used before, Physiogel® made my skin less sensitive and dry. My skin became so much softer, smoother and definitely healthier.”

Patti said she understands how insecurities can be restraining and wants every Filipina to be free from dry, sensitive skin and to confidently reveal their true selves. Just like she did.

It’s amazing how one simple change in my skincare has renewed my confidence,” she enthused.

One of the best feelings is when you feel confident, and have control of your life, like I can do anything! And with Physiogel®, anything.

With Physiogel®, Patti was able to free herself from skin worries such as dryness and irritation, so she can fulfill the demands of her multi-hyphenated career of being a TV host, model, entrepreneur and loving wife all with equal zest and success.

With Physiogel, I became free from dry and sensitive skin – to get going, to get out there and just be who I really am. So, now I truly believe in the power of having good skin. It gave me the power to feel empowered, to feel free. I became free in my skin. And this is why I have been rallying for this movement to reach out to so many women out there,” declares the Free in My Skin embodiment.

FREE IN MY SKIN MOVEMENT

The Free in My Skin Movement aims to empower women to fully embrace and participate in life by freeing them from dry and sensitive skin, because having dry and sensitive skin can serve as a hindrance for women to fully function to their best abilities.

This movement also aims to honor smart, strong, sensitive women who have faced their insecurities (physically and emotionally) and are now embracing and living life to the fullest.

The Free in My Skin movement is not just about creating a nurturing community of smart, strong and sensitive women, but is also as a way of honoring these women who didn’t let their dry-skin insecurities prevent them from being the best versions of themselves,” says General Manager of GSK Consumer Healthcare, Mr. Jeoffrey Yulo.

As Patti Grandidge says, “As the embodiment of this movement, I am encouraging women to join me in honoring the smart, strong and sensitive women our lives who have all been a source of inspiration. Think of three smart, strong & sensitive women you know and you are proud of and tag them on your Facebook post as how you can see mine on screen: I honor these women who have inspired me to be #FreeInMySkin: @kpams808 @macheremachere @bebettes. Cheers to these three smart, strong & sensitive women in my life! Who are yours? #NowPayItForward #PhysiogelPH.

Now all my three honorees have to do is to pay it forward by honoring three women in their lives and so forth. We want every woman in our lives to be part of this movement. I am Free In My skin to do just about And I really think this is one of the many things we can do to reach out to more women who already are and who want to be free in their skin.

Watch, Sing, Laugh and Fall in Love with TV5's Weekly Musical Program 'Trenderas'

TV5 Press Release

TV5 is once again at the forefront of offering viewers a more exciting and a different kind of entertainment with the much-awaited debut of its new program, the musical-drama-comedy “Trenderas”, which takes center stage during its special 1-hour pilot telecast on Saturday, September 13 at 9:00PM.

The Kapatid Network takes the viewers’ strong interest and relatability to aspirational underdog stories to even greater heights by introducing this one-of-a-kind weekly spectacle, highlighted by musical numbers that embody friendship, ambition and dreams. Moreover, the viewing experience of “Trenderas” will most definitely be made even more unique and exciting as the program captures the raw emotions in all these songs, with the lyrics becoming the dialogue of the various characters.  With this, viewers will definitely find themselves wanting to sing along with the characters as they express their emotions thru the lyrics of various popular and well-loved songs.

“Trenderas” will be top-billed by the Kapatid Network’s newest up-and-coming stars in the talented trio of Isabelle de Leon (as Isabelle), Katrina ‘Suklay Diva’ Velarde (as Diva), and Lara Maigue (as Lara) - who play the role of three best friends who make ends meet by selling trinkets on the street. While they are very unique in their own respective ways from each other, it is ultimately their shared passion for music and their dream of one day becoming professional singers that keep them strong despite their daily struggles in life.

The program will chronicle their roller-coaster of a journey towards their ultimate dream as they transform from ordinary ‘tinderas’ to the country’s newest trending sensations - which all begins when a candid video by a random pedestrian capturing the girls’ unique musical performance in the marketplace goes viral.

The dynamics in the program are further made intriguing with the underlying subplot mainly involving Dingdong Avanzado (as Julio), Ara Mina (as Diane) and Tina Paner (as Veronica), which as it unfolds, will definitely add to the drama in the musical.

“Trenderas” is also set to capture the hearts of the viewers with the entrance of hunk stars Carl Guevarra (as EJ) and Edward Mendez (as Benjo), whose interactions with Isabelle and Lara, and Katrina respectively, are eventually poised to bring viewers their weekly dose of ‘kilig’.

Meanwhile, sassy and outrageous comediennes K Brosas (as Katy), Cacai Bautista (as Miley) and Kitkat (as Lady) collectively play the role of the notorious “Tres Malditas”, the trio of vendor-villains who will do anything they can just to hinder Isabelle, Katrina and Lara from reaching their dream. Rounding up the cast also are veteran television stars Francine Prieto (as Viveka) and Rez Cortez (as Mother Pearl).

And finally, playing a very special guest role in the musical program, and marking her return to the television spotlight is the country’s one-and-only Superstar, Nora Aunor (as Celestina Cruz), who portrays the character of a famous singer who will ultimately serve as the mentor and inspiration of the three “Trenderas” girls.

And with even more surprises to come, be sure not to miss the grand entrance of the country’s newest trending sensations, as “Trenderas” premieres with a special 1-hour pilot episode packed with all-out musical scenes - featuring  some of the all-time favorite hits of the Eraserheads, Ogie Alcasid, Apo Hiking Society, Itchyworms, Aegis and many more - on September 13 at 9:00PM, and every Saturday at 9:30- 10:00pm thereafter, only on TV5.
