Get Up Close and Personal with PBB Lucky Season 7 Regular Housemates (Batch 1)

Big Brother welcomed into his house the first batch of lucky regular housemates last October 28 as ABS-CBN's hit reality show "Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7" kicked off its regular edition.

They are:

 Incredible Hunk of Nueva Ecija, Tanner Mata

Bibang Bentang-guena of Batangas, Baninay Bautista

Rampa Raketera of Bulacan, Ali Forbes

Longing Son of Taguig, Luis Hontiveros

Lucky Bet na Miss of Tacloban, Thuy Nguyen

 Dazzling Daughter of Bulacan, Cora Waddell

Overseas Filipino Warrior of Tondo, Jerome Alecre

 

Watch out for these new faces and personalities beginning tonight as they share their stories and show their authentic selves while facing various tasks and challenges.

Baninay, Ali, and Jerome are certified fighters after having been tested by fate early on in their lives. To provide for her family, Baninay took on multiple jobs and used her sunny disposition as fuel to keep her going.

Same goes for beauty queen Ali who has been working very hard to earn a living, especially after her family's business went bankrupt.

Jerome, meanwhile, represents modern day Filipino heroes - the overseas Filipinos -  and left everything he had in the Philippines to work abroad in hopes of giving his family a better life.

Life has not always been easy for head turners Cora and Luis, who continue to fight for their families. Internet sensation Cora went through a tough time in her life after her mom got into an accident in the US that depleted their family's savings. This prompted them to go back to the Philippines and start anew here.

Meanwhile, Luis, who also went viral and known online as the cute and hunky nephew of a senator, wants nothing but a happy and complete family. Growing up, he didn't feel close to his mother, so he does everything he can to make her feel proud of him.

It's a different journey for Thuy and Tanner who have found their second home in the Philippines. Thuy is already a familiar face to many viewers as the Vietnamese housemate in "PBB's" celebrity edition in Vietnam. War brought her and her family to the Philippines, where they found a safe haven for all of them.

Tanner, meanwhile, grew up in the US with his mom and step dad, whom he treated as his father. He never got to meet his biological dad until he was 13. Modelling brought him to Manila and found himself a new family and friends.

Who else will join the first seven lucky regular housemates? Watch out for them as Kuya reveals their identities from November 3 - 5 on "It's Showtime" and "TV Patrol."

Who's the girl Ejay Falcon is holding hands with while walking in Japan?

"Finally ??"

Actor Ejay Falcon wrote in the caption of the photo he posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday night.

Fans of the actor were intrigued as to who the girl he was holding hands with while walking in the streets of Japan. The actor had a short vacation trip in time with the holidays. He was with his friends.

But in the succeeding post, Ejay revealed the face of the woman he was with.

Some fans alluded Jana Roxas as the unnamed girl. Roxas was one of the 14 finalists of GMA7's Starstruck 3 in 2005 where the late Marky Cielo and Jackie RIce were named Ultimate Survivors.

But the mystery girl wasn't a mystery at all as Ejay had already previous posts revealig the face of the woman he was with as seen in these photos.

Which makes us wonder, why does Ejay had to caption the photo with "Finally"? Care to share, Ejay?

ABS-CBN Corporation recently sealed a partnership with Advertising Foundation of the Philippines for the upcoming 10th ARAW Values Awards set to happen on November 29 at the Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN. 

The 2016 ARAW Values Awards will be aired on ABS-CBN, the official TV network partner of Advertising Foundation of the Philippines, on December 4. The awards nights will be hosted by Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, and Gretchen Ho. 

The signing was led by ABS-CBN chairman Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III and Advertising Foundation of the Philippines' chairman of the board Ruperto Nicdao Jr.

The Araw Values Advertising Awards stands unique among the other recognition-giving bodies as it gives importance to the values that an ad campaign communicates.

Imelda Schweighart Resigns as Miss Philippines Earth 2016

Following her controversial statements against Miss Earth 2016 winner Katherine Espin of Ecuador, Imelda Schweighart relinquished her crown as Miss Philippines Earth on Monday, October 31.

Miss Philippines Earth first runner-up Kiara Giel Gregorio will fulfill all of Schweighart's remaining obligations. Gregorio is a pre-law student who participated in the tilt as a representative of the Filipino community in London.

The decision came after Schweighart and her mother Annabeth Bautista met with Carousel Productions Executive Vice President Lorraine Schuck in relation to the bashing the beauty queen is continously getting from social media users.

Organizers of Miss Earth and Miss Philippines Earth accepted her voluntary resignation at 5:52 p.m. Monday.

SHOW DESCRIPTION: Encantadia (2016 TV series) is a Filipino fantasy television series by GMA Network. It is dubbed as the modern requel (retelling-sequel) to the 2005 fantasy series with the same name. The show was first aired on July 18, 2016 in the Philippines and worldwide through GMA Pinoy TV.

The cast including those who will portray the sang'gres or keepers of the four gems were revealed on April 4, 2016. Kylie Padilla played the role of Amihan, Alena by Gabbi Garcia, Danaya by Sanya Lopez and Pirena by Glaiza de Castro.

It is based from the hit sineserye produced by the same network, Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit which stars Carla Abellana, Mike Tan and Michelle Madrigal.

Encantadia is a vast and magical continent in an "unnamed", enchanted realm. It comprises three kingdoms: Lireo, Sapiro and Hathoria. These three kingdoms, and the Lirean territory, Adamya, bear the four elemental gems that hold the continent in balance. Lireo, in the east, is the kingdom that cared for the gemstones of air and water, with its territory, Adamya. Sapiro, the northern kingdom, kept the gemstone of earth and had its lands blessed with precious metals and stones, and its soil fertile unlike any other land. Hathoria, the kingdom of the west, held the gemstone of fire and utilized it for the development of weapons and war machinery.

The three kingdoms were able to live in peace, but day came when the Hathors (inhabitants of Hathoria) gave in to their greed and started a war to claim the other gems, that they may gain power and rule over the whole continent. The Hathors first waged war with the Sapiro, in pursuit of the gemstone of earth. The Sapiryan king, King Armeo, before Sapiro's fall, was able to kill the Hathor king and claim the gemstone of fire. Sapiro, after the war, was left in ruins. While the death of the Hathor king, and the loss of the gemstone of fire, weakened the Hathor force and made them retreat. King Armeo gave the gemstone of fire and earth to his older cousin, Raquim, and willed that the gemstones be given to Ynang Reyna of Lireo for safekeeping. The four gems have not been separated since.

Years have passed and the story unfolds in Lireo, where Ynang Reyna, Minea, will choose her successor from her daughters Pirena, Amihan, Alena and Danaya. She and Imaw, an elder from Adamya, can feel imminent danger lurking, and as the gods call her to Devas, she has to leave the kingdom of Lireo in good and capable hands. She put her daughters to the test to see their capabilities and know who is best fit to be the next queen. Minea chooses and crowns Amihan, which to Pirena's dismay, led to her rebellion. The chain of events that transpired made way for the separation of the gemstones. Pirena, after having stolen the gemstone of fire sided with the Hathors and gave them back the power they've lost. Hathor now plans to rise up from hiding and bring Lireo to its demise, with the end in view of ruling over the whole of Encantadia.

Siphayo Movie Review: Full Of Shameless Sex Scenes, With Nathalie Hart Baring Herself Totally To Delight Male Viewers

 

WE'RE SURPRISED that Joel Lamangan's earthy and shameless sex-drama, "Siphayo (Dismay"), is given a no-cuts R1-6 rating when it features its reckless lead star Nathalie Hart in an unabashed full frontal nudity scene. During the press screening held at Fisher Mall, before that scene came out on screen, we saw Nathalie rushing out of the theatre. "Ayokong mapanood!" she screams.

We saw her later waiting for the press at the theater lobby and everyone congratulated for being so daring and uninhibited. She's lucky that she won the International Filmfest Manhattan best actress award in New York even if the movie is not really of the pang-award variety but a very commercial enterprise from Direk Joel whose obvious objective is for it to make more money at the box office than to win prestigious awards.

"Siphayo" is full of brazen sex scenes and Nathalie gives an erotic, no-holds-barred performance that harks back to the movies of Regal in the 70s and 80s and of Seiko's ST and TF (Sex Trip and Titillating films). Even leading men Luis Alandy and Joem Bascon are shown butt naked in their bed scenes with Nathalie. Let's see if "Siphayo" would bring back the glory days of sex dramas in local cinema in this day and age when sex is now so easy to access (for free at that) on the internet.

In fairness to Direk Joel, he tried to inject some semblance of social relevance into the movie with such valid topics as agricultural lands being eaten up by greedy businessmen who build malls and supermarkets in what used to be ricelands, making small time farmers lose their only source of livelihood. But the core of the story remains to be the bizarre love quadrangle between a randy farmer (Allan Paule) and his two sons (Joem and Luis) over a young nurse (Nathalie) who has nude love scenes with no inhibitions with all of them.

The film is quite well acted by everyone. Allan has his moments as the amoral father who even tries to make it out with his daughter in law (Elora Espano), the common law wife of his son Luis. Luis as the elder son has bed scenes with both Elora and Nathalie and shines in his violent confrontation scenes with his own dad. But among the guys, Joem has the most demanding role as the seemingly weakling son who has a tendency to be a cry baby, then springs a surprise later with a total 360 degree turnabout in his role.

Maria Isabel Lopez is very touchingly credible as the dying wife of Allan (she's getting to be a fine character actress, as also seen in "Lorna" and "Barcelona") while Elora Espano is also splendid as the trusting wife who'll be in for a big surprise. As the woman who brings shame and scandal in Allan's family, Nathalie supplies the earthiness and sexiness her role calls for. We just wish that she were given more demanding dramatic scenes to highlight her being so cunning and manipulative for engineering the very contrived incidents in the story.

In the end, viewers who want a sunny happy ending will surely complain because the movie's twisted conclusion is not the usual "good triumphs over evil". Here, it is the scheming characters with a hidden agenda who succeed and get away with it with so much impunity. If you're the kind of viewer who believe it's evil people are really dominant all over now and want that kind of ending, then this movie is most certainly for you. But if you're someone who prefers redeeming factors, you won't find that in "Siphayo" at talagang kayo'y masisiphayo.

Lovi Poe Answers The Question: If Her Dad, The Late FPJ, Were Alive Today, Would She Do The Daring Sexy Scenes She Did In 'The Escort'?

LOVI POE gives her most daring performance in a number of sexy scenes in "The Escort" and she's happy that the feedback after the premiere night last Thursday is all positive and encouraging.

"Nakakatuwa naman dahil lahat ng nanood, nagustuhan ang movie namin," she says. "It's not just the scenes that showed a lot of skin na nagustuhan nila but also the dramatic scenes. Hindi nasayang ang pagod at hirap namin nina Derek Ramsay and Mr. Christopher de Leon para mapaganda ang movie. In fairness to both of them, they're both very respectful in our daring scenes. I feel so lucky to be given the chance to work with them and with our director, Enzo Williams."

If her dad, the late FPJ, does she think he'd allow her to do such erotic scenes? "I don't really know. Ni hindi ko napag-isipan yan kasi I've always regarded myself as someone completely different from my dad. Kasi ako, I've was raised na I just wanna be myself and not always think of whether people will accept or not what I do. More than anyone else, I want to please myself first. Kasi if I lived my trying to please other people first, that would not be living for me. Even my mom, she trusts me. She knows that I know what I'm doing and I'm doing this as art, as part of my craft as an actress. Even my friends and other relatives, I can feel supportive naman sila as they know this is part of my chosen career. I like my role in 'The Escort' as Yassi. She's a good person and I think viewers will appreciate her."

Lovi also sang the theme song of "The Escort". Entitled "No Ordinary Love", it was played during her love scene with Derek and she sang it with so much emotion. "I felt so happy when Mother Lily told me I'd sing the theme song at naglabas pa sila ng music video nito."

Lovi's career is really flying so high these days. She has this glossy well praised movie, "The Escort", and she's also in a hit drama series, "Someone to Watch Over Me", where her portrayal of Joanna, a devoted wife who'll sacrifice her own happiness for Tom Rodriguez, her husband with Alzheimer's diseases, is also getting good feedback from the viewers. "Grabe ang story ng soap namin kasi halos every scene, umiiyak ako. But I'm glad the viewers like it so much at patuloy na tumataas ang ratings namin."

"Niyaya Ko Siyang Mag-bathtub." Prince Stefan"s Explosive Revelations On Flirting With Aljur Abrenica!

Prince Stefan just got bolder and fiercer about his sexuality in his recent interview last October 20, in Good Times with Mo Twister, as he shared explosive revelations about himself and his s*x life. Emerging as the first runner up of GMA’s StarStruck: The Next Level in the year 2007, the half-Filipino and half–Arabian actor has started establishing a name in the industry. But no one was able to tell that he was gay. Asked how he was keeping up with his s*x life when he was still hiding his true identity, he said: “Mga kapwa ko ring artista na alam din nila.

“Parang pag alam mo kasing bakla ka, parang nararamdaman [ko] kung bakla ka, parang partly puwede tayong mag-usap.” He then admitted to have shared s*xual and intimate moments with his co-actors and some of them are not yet out as gays. However, the highlight of the interview was when he shared to have flirted Starstruck batchmate, Aljur Abrenica, during one of their projects.

“May raket kami sa Bohol, tapos isa lang kami ng room.

“Nakita ko siyang nagbi-briefs, ako din nagbi-briefs, so parang inaya ko siyang mag-bathtub.

“Tapos, okay naman, pumunta kami kasi akala niya lalaki [ako], parang pare-pare.”

Pagpapatuloy ni Prince, “Tapos, parang nilalandi-landi ko siya.

He then confirmed that Aljur was straight. When asked if he also encountered the same scenario with others, he said:

Meanwhile, despite the awkward incident, Prince claims that he is still friends with Aljur. “Tinatawanan na lang namin,” he said.

Watch: Miss Earth PH Imelda Schweighart to Miss Earth 2016 winner, "Peke Ilong, Peke Baba, Peke Boobs"

Miss Earth Philippines Imelda Schweighart became the subject of netizens' ridicule after she bashed the newly crowned Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espín from Ecuador.

The bashing was recorded in a video where Schweighart was seen and heard uttering, "Yung nanalo peke ilong, peke baba, peke boobs! Miss Earth, dapat natural.", referring to Miss Earth 2016 winner.

Netizens lambasted her action and expressed disgust over the comment she made.

Due to unfavorable reactions she received, Schweighart Imelda Schweighart relinquished her crown as Miss Philippines Earth. Organizers of Miss Earth and Miss Philippines Earth accepted her voluntary resignation.

In her facebook account, she posted the following comment but later deleted it.

Prior to this, the country's bet to Miss Earth 2016 became controversial when she made a comment about Hitler to Miss Earth Austria Kimberly Budinsky a few days before the pageant.

GMA star Kris Bernal considers transferring to ABS-CBN

Is kapuso prime talent Kris Bernal considering leaving her home network for ABS-CBN?

According to showbiz columnist Sol Gorgonio, a very reliable source told her that Bernal was seen at a meeting with some of the kapamilya network executives. The source also said that the actress had a meeting with Viva Artists Agency to manage her showbiz career.

Kris's network contract with GMA7 has already ended but her contract with Artists Center, GMA's artists agency isn't expired yet. So this news came as a puzzle for the people behind the agency.

Bernal has been with GMA7 since her win as the grand winner of Starstruck: The Next Level in 2006. She became known after she was paired with kapuso hunk Aljur Abrenica and starred in various afternoon and primetime series.

She was last seen in the primetime series Little Nanay where she played a mentally-challenged mother of an 8-year old daughter. As of late, Kris has been doing guestings on different shows of GMA.
