Bela Padilla returns to ABS-CBN, to work with Coco Martin in 'Ang Probinsyano'

Bela Padilla is now back in ABS-CBN as announced by the network earlier this week.

The actress was part of the network's Star Magic Batch 15 introduced in 2008. In 2010, however, she transferred to GMA-7 and changed her name from Krista Valle to her current screen name.

One of the reasons she decided to accept the offer to return to the Kapamilya Network is the project with Coco Martin - the television remake of "Ang Probinsyano," the 1997 movie of the late Fernando Poe Jr.

"Nung naisip ko na lilipat ako ng ABS, lagi kong ibinibiro 'yon - 'Paano kaya kung unang show ko kasama ko si Coco?' Kasi parang for an actor, that's like the highest you can get especially for my age," Bela told the entertainment press regarding the project with the Teleserye King.

She's also thankful to ABS-CBN for trusting her with the big project.

"For me to finally get it, parang, wow, ang bilis nangyari. They trust me right away. Hindi na nila ako hinintay na may kailangan akong gawin or may kailangan akong i-prove," she said.

She also confessed that she watches Coco's movies and TV projects.

"Kakapanood ko lang nung movie nila ni Toni," she said, referring to "You're My Boss."

And regarding Coco as an actor, Bela described him as: "Cute. Nakakakilig 'yong mga eksena n'ya. I was a big fan of 'Ikaw Lamang' talagang from book 1 to book 2 pinanood ko. So I really know that he's one of the actors I wanna work with here in ABS. There are a lot I wanna work with but to be able to check him off my list right away, that's such a big deal."

The cast of "Ang Probinsyano" also has Angeline Quinto, Arjo Atayde, Jaime Fabregas and Albert Martinez. It will be directed by Avel Sunpongco and Malu Sevilla, under Dreamscape Entertainment Television.

Meet The Mormons Review: Real Life Heartwarming Stories About Faith And Inspiration

‘MEET THE MORMONS’ is a full length documentary now showing in selected theatres, produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that aims to introduce the Mormon religion to non-members. It was released theatrically in the U.S. in October and the earnings were donated to the Red Cross. Made with good intentions and done not in a hardsell manner, it’s certainly worth watching.

It’s now showing in Manila and introduces six Mormons whose lives are all inspirational: the black Bishop Jermaine Sullivan who serves in Atlanta, Georgia; the Pacific Islander U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis football coach Ken Niumatalolo; the Costa Rican mixed martial arts fighter/ kick boxer Carolina Muñoz Marin; the 93-year-old retired Army Air Corps Col. Gail Halvorsen; the Nepalese humanitarian Bishnu Adhikari; and the missionary mom Dawn Armstrong whose son is shown leaving their family to become a missionary in South Africa.
