KIKO RUSTIA gained fame for his derring do in the very first "Survivor Philippines", which was shot in Thailand and opened doors for him to be a TV host. With his signature Jack Sparrow dreadlocks, he did the docu-environmental magazine GMA-7 show, "Born to be Wild", that took him to various places all over the country. After this, he hosted his own show, "This is Pinas", and became an international print model for Benetton who posted his photos all over Europe.
Now, he's staying most of the time in Boracay. "I got married and my wife up and I put up our own bed & breakfast hotel in Diniwid Beach, the quieter side of Boracay," he says. "Before 'Survivor', talagang sa Boracay na ako nakatira but after I joined 'Survivor', I lived in Manila for a while. Now, that I'm a family man, I'm back in Boracay, where me and my wife also met, and we love our laidback lifestyle there. We now have two kids na magkasunod pinanganak, our son Rai Franco who's 2, and our daughter Raia Franchel who's 1. I also have a son from a past relationship, Pao, who's now 16. I miss doing all the adventures I did on TV, like going to beaches, mountains and caves. Now, I'm back to hosting and producing travel videos for Victory Liner, which travels up north to Baguio and Cagayan Valley. Entitled 'Know Your North', we've done videos on Mt. Pinatubo, Zambales, Bataan, Baguio and soon, Cagayan. You can watch them on youtube and on victoryliner.com."

Aiai Delas Alas signs contract with GMA Records
Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas has signed up a contrct with the revitalized GMA Records - the music arm of GMA Network.
Delas Alas inked the deal with the company's top executives on Thursday, November 9. Aiai wrote in her Instagram post,
"Its official .. iam a gma recording artist .. o ha hehhehe #walangbasaganngtrip #kayakoto #labanaiai #walangpinipili #exbwidaiai #collaborationexbandai"
Recording songs isn't something new for Sunday Pinasaya star. She wouldn't be called Comedy Concert Queen for nothing. In 2014, she has recorded an album for Star Records called ADA from which some of the songs from the album were used as soundtracjs in her blockbuster movie Tanging Ina.

GMA7 bags the right to air local version of "Boys Over Flowes"
GMA Network Inc. signs a co-production deal today, November 9, with JU Entertainment Movie and Drama Inc., a Philippine company with Korean counterpart, to produce the Filipino version of the widely successful television series Boys Over Flowers.
Boys Over Flowers was based on the Japanese manga series 'Hana Yori Dango' which tells the story of a spunky school girl who receives a scholarship grant to enter a prestigious academy. She then captures the interest of four rich, popular and handsome guys collectively known as F4 (short for Flower 4).
The said series has been locally produced in several countries like Taiwan, Japan and Korea.
GMA Network First Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari Abacan feels extremely happy to be airing the Philippine adaptation of the said TV series that catapulted the careers of some of today's hottest Asian stars.
"We're very pleased to announce that we are doing our own version of Boys Over Flowers in partnership with JU Entertainment Movie and Drama Inc. It's a huge project and we promise to give our viewers something to look forward to soon."
He also added that there will be a nationwide audition to find the perfect cast for the local series. "In order for us to find the actors who will portray the coveted characters in the series, we will have a nationwide open casting call that will give equal chance to talented individuals who want to be part of this highly anticipated project."
"We hope that we live up to their expectations and I know the talent of the Filipinos is something to be proud of worldwide so I'm sure that we won't disappoint," adds GMA Films and GMA Worldwide Inc. President Annette Gozon.
Meanwhile, JU Entertainment Movie and Drama Inc. Chief Executive Officer Son Jong Wook looks forward to a successful partnership with GMA Network. "I would like to thank GMA for the partnership. Looking forward to a fruitful relationship with the Network and we are all excited with this project."
Also present in the contract signing were JU Entertainment Movie and Drama Inc. Vice President Oh Jae Jun, Cube 9 Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Lee Dong Hee and Cube 9 Entertainment Vice President Kim Jae Sung.
The project is slated to begin its production soon.
