‘The Firm’ - AXN's First Original Series to Premiere this Sunday

New series "The Firm" will be simulcast across Sony Pictures Television's global network of channels including AXN in Asia!

AXN viewers in Asia will be able to enjoy the two-hour premiere of The Firm on February 19 (Sunday) at 9.50PM, on the same day it airs across 126 million households on SPT channels globally in Asia, Latin America, Central Europe, Iberia, Italy, Africa, Russia and the Baltics.

An AXN original series based on John Grisham's bestselling novel, the TV reincarnation picks up ten years after the movie of the same name starring Tom Cruise. Hot shot lawyer, Mitch McDeere, brought down a Memphis law firm fronting the Chicago mob. Mitch and his family attempt to reclaim their lives by moving to Washington DC to start their own firm after leaving the Federal Witness Protection Program. However, the past has a way of catching up with them.

The stellar cast includes Josh Lucas (The Lincoln Lawyer) and Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers). Lucas is cast as Mitch McDeere, the role originally made famous by Cruise, with Lewis playing McDeere's receptionist, Tammy Hemphill (previously played by Holly Hunter in the film). Canadian cast members include Molly Parker (Deadwood) as McDeere's wife, Abby, and Callum Keith Rennie (Battlestar Galactica) as his brother, Ray, and Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) as Alex Clark, the firm's managing partner.
Showrunner Lukas Reiter, a former prosecutor who has worked on The Practice and Boston Legal, was the one who first sought out John Grisham in the hopes of scripting a sequel and eventually got him on board as executive producer. On what to expect from the new Mitch, Reiter teased, "What made Mitch Mcdeere so special is his ability to find the hidden solution long after the average person believes there is no way out…There's a great amount of fun to be had watching Josh Lucas find those solutions."

Shot on location in Canada, The Firm will keep viewers on the edge of their seats and fans of Grisham can anticipate the same kinds of drama and thriller feel that made the book and the 1993 film adaptation so original!The Firm premieres on Feb 19, 2012 Sundays at 9.55pm (PH). First and Exclusively on AXN.

Talagang patuloy ang pagtangkilik ng bayan lalo na ng mga mag-aaral sa ibinabahaging kaalaman ni Kuya Kim iinggo linggo sa naturang muti-awarded educational program.

Ngayong Linggo (Feb 19), samahan si Kuya Kim sa kanyang panibagong adventure kung saan bibigyan niya ng kulay ang inyong kaalaman sa mga kulay na itim at puti. Empress, Mas Masaya ang Birthday Dahil sa 'Mundo Man ay Magunaw'

Puno ng pasasalamat ang birthday ngayong taon ng isa sa mga bida ng Kapamilya Gold teleseryeng "Mundo Man ay Magunaw" na si Empress Schuck dahil sa dami ng blessings na natatanggap niya.

Ayon pa sa aktres, malaking regalo na para sa kanya ang magagandang feedback na natatanggap para sa programang pinagbibidahan nila nina Eula Valdes, Nikki Gil, at Ejay Falcon. Aniya, "Masaya ako kasi ramdam ko na talagang araw-araw na sinusubaybayan ng mga tao 'yung show namin. 'MY BELOVED' Beats 'Budoy' and 'Walang Hanggan', Based on Nielsen Data in Mega Manila

The original series remains ahead of competition in viewer rich Mega Manila, which comprises 58 percent of total television households nationwide, according to the more widely recognized ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
 
Based on household data in Mega Manila, the program registered 42.7 share points versus ABS-CBN's Budoy's 27.4 points and Walang Hanggan's 32 points during its pilot airing last February 13. It continued its dominance in TV ratings after its successive victory on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
 In Mega Manila, the Kapuso primetime drama scored 40.9 share points, way ahead of Budoy's 27.9 points and Walang Hanggan's 33.5 points on Tuesday (February 14). On Wednesday and Thursday, it earned 39.1 points beating ABS-CBN's Budoy with 26.8 points and Walang Hanggan with 36.4 points on February 15; while on February 16, it posted a household audience share of 40.4 points higher than Kapamilya programs Budoy with 28.7 points and Walang Hanggan with 34.9 points.
 Anticipation is high for the reunion project of the real-life sweethearts in the Kapuso Network as they deliver offbeat character portrayals in the weeknight series. Dingdong plays the role of Arlan/Benjie, an angel of death or "sundo" who is punished to become human after falling in love with the beautiful mortal Sharina played by Marian.
 
More heart-stopping scenes and twists will unfold as the plot thickens with Arlan defying his task as asundo to save Sharina from her impending death. His actions anger the higher beings in his realm and confer Arlan the biggest punishment of all: they strip Arlan of his powers and duties as a sundo and he sends him to earth to become a mortal. Arlan's soul transfers to Benjie's body, who is a playboy and a member of small-time syndicate.
 
Trapped inside Benjie's body, Arlan must now learn how to live like humans and act like one of them. How will Benjie cope with his struggles in the mortal world and react when he comes face to face with Sharina? Will Sharina discover that the mystery man in the painting and Benjie are one and the same person?
 Meanwhile, Kapuso viewers will get another chance to watch in full swing the pilot week of the undying love story of Arlan and Sharina with a TV special titled MY BELOVED: ANG SIMULA NG WALANG KAMATAYANG PAG-IBIG. This will air on Sunday, February 19 right before Party Pilipinas.
