GMA-7 offers an intriguing but no less heartrending addition to its unbeatable afternoon drama block with “Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka?” The program will air beginning June 4, Monday, after Hiram na Puso on GMA Afternoon Prime.

Starring Geoff Eigenmann, Jennica Garcia and Jackie Rice, Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka? follows a compelling storyline that explores how bonds between family members are put to the test in the face of love. It also features Michael de Mesa, Angelika dela Cruz, Bobby Andrews, and Sharmaine Arnaiz together with Bubbles Paraiso, Diego Castro, and Pancho Magno.

“Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka? is deliciously daring and sinfully addicting,” described its director Mr. Mark Reyes. “It’s very exciting to see real life father and son Michael de Mesa and Geoff Eigenmann face off as rivals in an edgy love triangle with Jackie Rice, as we guarantee everyone an unpredictable show.”

While this new Kapuso afternoon drama delves on mature topics, it also looks at a person’s capacity to bear with life’s challenges, and sacrifice for the sake of his or her loved ones.

In the series, sisters Erica (Jackie Rice) and Bianca (Jennica Garcia) have always lived a happy and comfortable life with their parents that painted for them an ideal image of “true love”.

Keeping this so-called image in mind, the simple and unassuming Erica meets the endearingly handsome yet arrogant Jake (Geoff Eigenmann) and falls in love with him. But her idea of a perfect love story was ruined after Jake mysteriously disappeared and was never heard from again.

As Erica tries to move on with her family by her side, life takes a dark turn when they meet an accident that left both Erica and Bianca’s parents dead.

Things only become worse after the girls realize that their parents have been hiding their family’s real financial situation for some time. Both must now make a living on their own in order for them to survive.

Tension begins to grow between the two sisters but even more when Bianca finds out that she might be in danger of losing her sight as a result of the accident.

With no one else to turn to, Erica approaches her boss Jaime (Michael de Mesa), a divorced businessman who has always paid special attention to her, and asks him to take care of the expenses for Bianca’s operation making way for the sisters’ reconciliation.

Soon after, Jaime professes his feelings for Erica, and eventually asks for her hand in marriage. Erica, being reminded of the many good things Jaime has done for her and her sister, agrees.

As the day of their wedding approaches, Erica’s life turns upside down when Jaime’s children from his first wife Beatrice (Sharmaine Arnaiz) return – Jaime’s scheming daughter Leslie (Angelika dela Cruz) and son, Joaquin (Geoff Eigenmann), who turns out to be Erica’s former boyfriend Jake.

Still having feelings for her first love, how will Erica reveal the truth to Jaime whom she and Bianca are beholden so much of their lives to? According to Box-Office Mojo, the Star Cinema’s romantic comedy had a first 5-day box office gross of P25.51 million (click HERE to see the actual figures).

MTRCB Suspends "T3 Kapatid Sagot Kita!" for 3 Months; TV5 Releases Statement

The Movie and TV Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) today hands down its 3-months suspension order and a fine of P100,000 for TV5's daily afternoon public affairs program "T3 Kapatid Sagot Kita!"

The decision was made in relation to the threat its hosts Erwin Tulfo, Ben Tulfo and Raffy Tulfo put on the lives of Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago during the live airing of the said program on May 8, 2012 (watch the said episode HERE.)

In this regard, TV5 releases a statement condemning the said decision:

TV5 regrets the decision of the MTRCB and views it as an act in excess of its jurisdiction. At this point, TV5 will turn to the Court of Appeals and seek judgment in its pending petition to enjoin the MTRCB from further enforcing the sanctions until a definitive ruling is made on the issue of grave abuse of discretion committed by the Censorship Board.”

‘DINOSAUR KING’ MAGSISIMULA NA SA TEAM ANIMAZING NG ABS-CBN

Magbabalik na ang mga dinosaur, hindi sa lupa, kung hindi sa telebisyon kasama pa ang tatlong bagong bidang kids na na tiyak susubaybayan mo tuwing umaga sa "Dinosaur King," simula ngayong Lunes (May 28) sa ABS-CBN.

 

Matatalik na magkakaibigan sina Max, Rex, at Zoe at tulad ng ibang kabataan, nais lang nila magsaya at mag-bonding ng magkakasama. Ngunit lingid sa kanilang kaalaman na isang malaking adventure ang naghihintay sa kanila matapos nilang matagpuan ang mga card na nagiging dinosaurs sa kagubatan.

 

Una'y animo'y mga bagong alaga lang ang kanilang nahanap pero ang mga dinosaur na ito ay nangangailangan pala ng kanilang tulong dahil ikinulong sila at iba pa nilang kauri sa naturang cards ng isang misteryosong grupo na kung tawagin ay Alpha Gang.  Ang naturang grupo ay hangad na makumpleto ang lahat ng dinosaur cards para hirangin silang 'dinosaur king' at maghasik ng lagim sa sanlibutan.

It's not just a random mutant spider bite that sets Hollywood's new Peter Parker on the superhero career track.

From the trailers of "The Amazing Spider-Man" (and the six-minute extended footage now playing with “Men In Black 3”) it's clear that something dark and deep is at the heart of Peter's fateful encounter with that spider. He may even be a Spider-Man of destiny.

The footage offers glimpses of the orphan boy's natural father (Campbell Scott), a man shrouded in a mystery that Peter (Andrew Garfield) needs to unravel as a youth.

Garfield, co-star Emma Stone and director Marc Webb would not divulge details, but they did acknowledge that a personal quest puts Peter on a collision course with the spider whose bite imparts superpowers.

"I love the idea of destiny having a hand in Peter Parker's fortune, and not just being a slip and a fall," Garfield said in an interview. "I love the idea of him being meant to assume this symbol."

"The Amazing Spider-Man" maintains the classic Parker family structure of the Marvel Comics and the three previous big-screen blockbusters that starred Tobey Maguire as Peter. Garfield's Peter is raised by his upright Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and loving Aunt May (Sally Field).

In Maguire's version, a school field trip took Peter to the lab where that spider gave him the momentous nip. In the new film, Peter's on a mission when fate strikes.

"There's a lot that leads him to that spider bite in this one," Stone said. "It's not just a school field trip. He snuck in there for some reason."

The footage also showed some significant portions setting up Peter's transformation into the web-slinging hero, along with the mutation of a one-armed scientist (Rhys Ifans) into a hulking green villain known as the Lizard.

Though Scott as Peter's father appears only briefly, the footage indicates that his character is pivotal to the fortunes of his son.

"It's about a kid who goes out looking for his father, and he finds himself," Webb said. "I don't want to get too specific beyond that, but that's certainly a big part of what the story's about, my angle on the Peter Parker character. The fact that he's sort of an orphan, I think that's something really interesting to explore."

(Audiences who watch “Men in Black 3” in Digital 3D will get to screen an extended 6-minute sneak peek of “The Amazing Spider-Man” as an added attraction. 2D screenings of “MIB 3” will play a new trailer of “The Amazing Spider-Man.”

77-year-old Edith Wilma Connor, was named by Guinness World Record as the "World's Oldest Female Bodybuilder".

"It's a lot of fun and I relish the attention my unusual hobby-age combination attracts." Connor said of this recognition.

Connor, who says she still enjoys working out with her grandchildren up to this day, first entered a competition and won first place at the Grand Masters in Las Vegas at the age of 60. From then on, she became hooked on weights and went on to become a personal trainer specializing in the mature body.

Connor's youngest son was her first trainer, and after launching her bodybuilding career, she has been working with her elder son and granddaughter. In total, she has three sons, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Al-Qaida Kill List - Obama Ordered Killings of Al-Qaida Suspects



U.S. President Barack Obama personally oversees his government’s top-secret al-Qaeda ‘kill list,’ a process that includes the creation of a yearbook-style catalogue of terrorists listing their names, photos, ages and biographies.

New York Times reporters Jo Becker and Scott Shane interviewed three dozen current and former advisers to Mr. Obama to explain how the leader took on the role of overseeing the shadow war with al-Qaeda — one that has no precedent in U.S. presidential history.

“He is determined that he will make these decisions about how far and wide these operations will go,” says Thomas E. Donilon, Mr. Obama’s national security adviser.

“His view is that he’s responsible for the position of the United States in the world … He’s determined to keep the tether pretty short.”

The Times described the secretive process, which begins with some 100 counter-terrorism officials sifting through biographies and “nominating” suspects in Yemen and Somalia to be added to the kill list during a secure video conference run by the Pentagon.

The CIA carries out a separate process for suspects in Pakistan, it said.

Mr. Obama personally approves the killing of top suspects, such as al-Qaeda preacher Anwar al-Awlaqi — a U.S. citizen — who was killed by a U.S. drone strike in Yemen last year.

Rudy Eugene, a 31-year-old man, was shot and killed by police on Saturday after attacking and eating another homeless man - 65-year-old Ronald Poppo.

Is this a sign of "zombie apocalypse"?





Ronald Poppo, a Miami homeless man, has been identified as the victim in a horrific face-chewing attack. Miami police released a photo of Poppo, 65, Tuesday afternoon.

A police officer shot and killed Poppo’s attacker, 31-year-old Rudy Eugene, as he chewed Poppo’s face in the shadow of The Miami Herald’s headquarters. Both men were naked at the time of the attack, the Herald reported.

Poppo remains in critical condition at a hospital.

During the incident, Eugene had reportedly refused to stop chewing even after being wounded by police.

Rodman Sentenced 4 Days Community Service, 3 Years Jail Probation by Court


Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was sentenced to 4 days (equivalents to 104 hours) of community service and 3 years of informal probation in Orange County court Tuesday after being found guilty of contempt for failing to pay child support, a court official said.

"Rodman also must pay current child and spousal support, and he still owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional back child support,” the official said.

Rodman still has to settle any remaining disputes over child support and an additional contempt charge when he appears in court June 22, the official said.

Rodman, 51, spent 14 years in the NBA but is now broke, his attorney and financial advisor told The Times this year.

"In all honesty, Dennis, although a very sweet person, is an alcoholic," said Peggy Williams, his financial advisor. "His sickness impacts his ability to get work."

In March, an Orange County court commissioner told Rodman that he faced a possible 20-day jail stint or community service for contempt of court unless he came up with $860,376 in child and spousal support he owes his ex-wife by Tuesday.

Rodman's wild ways and eccentric hair are well known in Orange County, where he has lived off and on since the 1990s. He has worn a wedding dress to promote a book, dated Madonna, married Carmen Electra and been a competitor on Donald Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice."

His former oceanfront home in Newport Beach could have been mistaken for a police substation. The police were called there 80 times, mostly to quell raucous parties. Rodman arrived for his 40th birthday party in a helicopter — which landed illegally on the beach.

His 47-foot speedboat, Sexual Chocolate, was towed when he docked it at another person's slip in Newport Harbor. He plied Balboa Peninsula's narrow streets in a Humvee adorned with a painting of a naked woman and a Ford F-350 pickup with a self-portrait on the hood.

When his third wife, Michelle Rodman, sued him for divorce in 2004, Rodman sold the beach pad. At the time, he listed his previous year's income as $570,000. He said he had $3.4 million in property and $1.45 million in stocks and bonds. But, he said, maintaining his hard-charging lifestyle cost him more than $31,000 a month.

The couple have spent several years trying to reconcile, but the marriage was dissolved this year after his wife petitioned the court again.

Rodman won three NBA championships with the Bulls in the late 1990s and also played briefly with the Lakers.

GMA-7 offers an intriguing and heartrending addition to its unbeatable afternoon drama block with “Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka?”

The program will air beginning June 4, Monday, after Hiram na Puso on GMA Afternoon Prime.
  Starring Geoff Eigenmann, Jennica Garcia, and Jackie Rice, Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka?  follows a compelling storyline that explores how bonds between family members are put to the test in the face of love. It also features Michael de Mesa, Angelika dela Cruz, Bobby Andrews, Sharmaine Arnaiz together with Bubbles Paraiso, Diego Castro, Pancho Magno.
  “Kasalanan bang Ibigin Ka? is deliciously daring and sinfully addicting,” described its director Mr. Mark Reyes. “It’s very exciting to see real life father and son Michael de Mesa and Geoff Eigenmann face off as rivals in an edgy love triangle with Jackie Rice, as we guarantee everyone an unexpected and unpredictable show.”

  In the series, sisters Erica (Jackie Rice) and Bianca (Jennica Garcia) have always lived a happy and comfortable life with their parents that painted for them an ideal image of “true love.”
The simple and unassuming Erica meets the handsome yet arrogant Jake (Geoff Eigenmann) and falls in love with him. But her idea of a perfect love story is ruined after Jake mysteriously disappears and is never heard from again.
  As Erica tries to move on with her family by her side, life takes a dark turn when they meet an accident that leaves the girls' parents dead.
  Things only become worse after the girls realize that their parents have been hiding their family’s real financial situation for some time. Both must now make a living on their own in order fro them to survive.
  Tension begins to grow between the two sisters but even more when Bianca finds out that she might be in danger of losing her sight as a result of the accident.
  With no one else to turn to, Erica approaches her boss Jaime (Michael de Mesa), a divorced businessman who has always paid special attention to her, and asks him to take care of the expenses fro Bianca’s operation. This paves the way to the sisters’ reconciliation.
  Soon after, Jaime professes his feelings for Erica, and eventually asks for her hand in marriage. Erica, being reminded of the many good things Jaime has done for her and her sister, agrees.
  As the day of their wedding approaches, Erica’s life turns upside down when Jaime’s  children from his first wife Beatrice (Sharmaine Arnaiz) return. Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on June 4, 2012 but not later than June 15, 2012. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2012-2015. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later, the PRC added.

Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz abala sa kanilang teleserye

Kasalukuyang nasa Austria sina Bea Alonzo at John Lloyd Cruz para sa taping ng kanilang bagong teleserye. Ito ang magsisilbing reunion nina Bea at John Lloyd sa TV matapos ng ilang taong. Ayon kay Bea Alonzo, nagawa naman nila ng partner ang gusto nilang makuha sa kanilang shooting sa ibang bansa. Umaasa ang aktres na magiging maganda ang kinalabasan ng kanilang pinaghirapan ni John Lloyd Cruz. Kinunan ang 80 pursyento ng mga eksena ng teleserye sa bansang Austria para sa unang linggo nito.

Kahit na matagal na naging makatrabaho sina Bea at Lloydy ay iba pa rin daw ang pakiramdam ng dalaga kapag kaharap niya  na ang aktor. Apat na taon din na hindi nakasama ni Bea Alonzo ang dating leading man kung kaya puno raw ito ng excitement at kaba dahil isa na naman umanong panibagong karanasan ito sa kanilang tambalan. Malaki rin daw ang pinagbago ni John Lloyd dahil habang tumatagal umano ay palaki nang palaki ang binata bilagn isang aktor.

Masaya si Bea Alonzo dahil naabot na umano ni John Lloyd Cruz ang kaniyang mga gustong maabot sa buhay simula nang tumuntong siya sa showbiz. Hindi rin maipaliwanag ni Bea ang kaniyang nararamdaman sa aktor dahil tila kumokontra ang pakiramdam na pagiging pamilyar at pagiging bago sa kanilang mga eksena. Ayon kay Bea, hindi pa rin daw nawawala ang pamilyar na tingin, boses at kilos ng bawat isa kung kaya mas lalo pa umanong nadagdagan ang pagiging kumportable nila sa set.

Bukod sa teleserye ay abala rin sina Bea Alonzo at ang aktor ng reunion movie na nakatakda nang ipalabas sa darating na Agosto. Matatandaang ang huling naging pelikula nina John Lloyd Cruz at ng dalagang aktres ay ang One More Chance na umani ng maraming parangal at papuri. Hanggang ngayon ay kasama rin ang naturang pelikula sa Box Office Hits list ng Star Cinema.

Maraming fans ang nagsasabing iba pa rin daw talaga ang impact ng tamabalang John Lloyd at Bea dahil hindi pa rin nawawala ang chemistry ng dalawa kahit wala silang relasyon sa totong buhay. Aminado si Bea Alonzo na masaya siya sa kasalukuyan niyang nobyo na si Zanjoe Marudo habang si John Lloyd Cruz naman ay balitang tinapos na ang relasyon sa nobyang si Shaina Magdayao.

Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu magbabalik pelikula

Kasalukuyang abala sina Gerald Anderson at Kim Chiu sa kanilang nalalapit na pelikula na pinamagatang Crazy Love. Ito ang magiging 20th anniversary offer ng Star Magic na magsisilbing reunion project nina Gerald at Kim pagkatapos ng huli nilang naging pelikula noong 2010. Aminado si Gerald Anderson na excited na siya sa muli nilang pagtatambal ni Kim Chiu.

Ipinagmalaki rin ni Gerald na sasayaw siya sa pelikula nilang gagawin ni Kim kung kaya lalo pang nadagdagan ang kaniyang excitement. Gusto nang makita ni Gerald Anderson ang maturity ng dati niyang leading lady na si Kim Chiu pagdating sa pag-arte.

Mahigit isang taon ding nagkahiwalay sa mga proyekto sa TV sina Gerald at Kim kung kaya ito na muli ang pagkakataon na sila ay magkakatrabaho. Kinumpirma ng binata na magkakaroon sila ng maraming sweet na eksena sa pelikula dahil ang karakter ng aktor ay may gusto sa dalaga. Dagdag ni Gerald Anderson, love at first sight daw ang nadama ng kaniyang karakter para kay Kim Chiu. Hindi naman sinabi ni Gerald kung may kissing scene sila ni Kim sa naturang proyekto.

Lagi namang handa ang aktor na magkaroon ng kissing scene sa dalagang aktres. Aminado naman si Gerald Anderson na hindi mawawala sa kaniya ang pagiging espesyal ni Kim Chiu. Matatandaang nagkaroon ng isyu sa pagitan nina Gerald at Kim patungkol sa kanilang relasyon. Lumabas noon na pinagbabantaan umano ng mga Kimerald fans si Bea Alonzo na napapabalitang nililigawan noon ng binatang si Gerald Anderson.

Dito na rin nagsimula na maghiwalay ang Kimerald sa kanilang tambalan at nagkaroon ng kani-kanilang mga partners sa iba’t-ibang mga proyekto. Napapabalita ngayon na nililigawan umano si Kim Chiu ng kaniyang Binondo Girl leading man na si Xian Lim. Samantala si Gerald Anderson naman at Sarah Geronimo ay mukhang nagkakamabutihan na Ipinagmamalaki naman ni Gerald na nananatili pa rin daw ang propesyonal nilang relasyon ni Kim kahit iba na ang kanilang mga on-screen partners. Matatandaang dalawang pelikula na ang pinagsamahan ng aktor at ni Sarah samantalang isang TV series naman ang kanilang naging proyekto nila ni Jessy Mendiola.

Hindi naman magpapahuli si Kim Chiu dahil sa kaniyang nakaraang teleserye ay tatlong binata ang kaniyang naging leading men at isa na rito ang napapabalitang suitor ng dalaga na si Xian Lim. Umaasa naman si Gerald Anderson na nananatili pa rin ang chemistry nilang dalawa katulad ng pananatili ng kanilang working relationship. Sigurado naman ang binata na hindi pa rin natatanggal ang magic nila ni Kim sa harap ng kamera.

Gaganap bilang isang macho dancer si Gerald Anderson na makikilala ng karakter ni Kim Chiu. Pinaghandaan naman daw ito ni Gerald sa pamamagitan ng pagpasok pag obserba sa isang gay bar kung saan nagsuot pa siya ng isang sumbrero para hindi makilala ng mga tao. Bukod sa pelikula ni Kim ay abala rin si Gerald sa kaniyang indie film. Sa ngayon ay hinihintay na lang ni Gerald Anderson na matapos ang kanilang shooting ni Kim Chiu para masimulan na rin ang susnod niyang proyekto.
