Summer isn’t over yet! And in Boracay – the Philippines’ Summer Party Capital – the heat is just about to go a notch higher as some of the biggest stars of GMA Network, topbilled by Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo, give an all-out access to entertainment and party to all Kapuso through a two-day event dubbed “Kapuso Weekend” this May 11 to 12!
Ready to take those barefoot-steps on the island’s powdery white sands and participate in Day 1 activities are Dennis (Biritera) together with Jennylyn Mercado (Showbiz Central), Mark Herras and Bela Padilla (Hiram Na Puso), Bianca King, Gabby Eigenmann, and Rochelle Pangilinan (Broken Vow), Geoff Eigenmann, Sam Pinto, Carlo Gonzales, and Arthur Solinap (Legacy), LJ Reyes (The Good Daughter), Michelle Madrigal, Isabel Oli, Jay-R, Rachelle Ann Go, and Jolina Magdangal (Party Pilipinas), plus Bubbles Paraiso, Carl Guevarra, Victor Aliwalas, Wil Devaughn, and John Feir.
Also geared up to dive into the island’s clear blue waters and join in the Day 2 fun are My Beloved lead actor Dingdong together with Lovi Poe, Mike Tan, and Solenn Heusaff (Legacy), Isabelle Daza (I Bilib), and Ehra Madrigal (Broken Vow).
Kicking-off the weekend celebration on Friday is the “Kapuso ng Kalikasan: Walk for a Cause and Coastal Clean-up.” As part of the Network’s CSR, it will include a clean-up drive along the Boracay shoreline. It will be followed by a number of pocket activities and games on the beach.
Kapuso supporters also get the chance to groove those Latin-inspired moves with the “Zumbaracay with the Stars” and relax at the Kapuso Beach Lounge. Then, serving as the day’s highlight will be the “Kapuso Night” at 7PM.
Meanwhile, more surprises await all Kapuso in Boracay as the Saturday celebration begins with a soothing “Beach Yoga with the Stars,” and “Kapuso Beach Volleyball Invitational Games” after, which are set to trigger the participants’ adrenaline rush.
And while everyone watches the sun to set, a Reggae Band will offer great party music at the Kapuso Beach Lounge. It will be followed by the Kapuso Dancer’s Fire Dance Exhibition by the beach. Wrapping up the celebration for the Kapuso Weekend is another fun-filled “Kapuso Night” at 7:30PM.

Alma Moreno to Run for Senator in 2013 Election

Parañaque City Councilor Alma Moreno (Vanessa Moreno Lacsamana-Salic in real life), the current National President of the Philippine Councilors League, is persistent to get a senatorial seat in next year's national election.
In a recent interview Alma (or Ness in some of her friends) gave a hint on her next political plans, "Hintayin nyo nalang. Basta baligtarin nyo yung pangalan ko na NESS (SENN)."
And on Friday, May 11, Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla, President of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) political party, announces that they are eyeing the actress-politician to be one of their possible senatorial bets in the 2013 midterm elections as they believe she could be a strong candidate for the party.
But right after the news came out, netizens immediately posted their disbelief in this decision made by Lakas-CMD.

“PBB Teen Edition 4 Uber 2012 Weekend” Premieres this Saturday
Nonstop fun, excitement, and surprises are in store for Uberkadas with the launch of “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4 Uber 2012 Weekend” this Saturday (May 12), 4 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
Aside from new gimmicks and updates, fans will also be given the chance to bond with hosts Bianca Gonzalez, John Prats and Robi Domingo in the live audience in front of the Big Brother House every Saturday.
“The show won’t work without our avid Uber supporters, so the weekend program is an opportunity for us to make them feel they are an important part of the show,” John remarked.
The hosts and happy mascot Eps will temporarily ease the tension of the looming eviction night with the fans’ favorite segments “Uber Acting” and “Teens Try This at Home.” Since the program’s debut, it has always dominated the trending topics list on Twitter for introducing the wacky side of the hosts and spoofing the teen housemates.
“We goof around and laugh at each other and ourselves. It’s what it makes the show really enjoyable,” said Bianca, who believes co-host John is the major factor to the show’s fun element.
Meanwhile, “Uber Weekend” will also gather the top participants in “Teen Housemates Look Alike” who were presented during the weekday show. The contest, which seeks ordinary people who look like the teen housemates, will continue until the end of the season and winners will be given tickets to the Big Night.

Tony DeZuniga, the first Filipino artist whose work was accepted by an American Publishers Marvel and DC Comics is now dead. He was 71 years old.
DeZuniga or "Mang Tony" to his friends and followers is the co-creator of famous fiction characters "Jonah Hex," a disfigured Western anti-hero and "Black Orchid," a bullet-proof superheroine. He was also responsible in drawing prominent Marvel characters like "X-Men" and "Spider-Man."

American Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez expressed her desire to sing "Lupang Hinirang" in a future fight of Pinoy boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao.
The 16-year-old Filipina-Mexican-American heard of Pacquiao's invitation for her sing the Philippine national anthem on his next fight after Timothy Bradley that in return she said she would be honored to do it.
“I would love to, it would be an honor. Hopefully after the competition, I can do that.” Jessica said in an interview with GMA-7 on Thursday.
