BIANCA KING is proud that her first show with TV5, “Obsession”, shown tonight at 8 PM, is doing very well. Its producer, Camille Gomba Montano, tells us it’s rating higher and has more commercial load than its predecessor, “For Love or Money”. “Maganda rin ang feedback sa viewers,” she adds. “Talagang maraming sumusubaybay rito every Thursday night. Magaling kasi ang buong cast, starting with Bianca as the girl obsessed with Martin Escudero.”
“And we owe it all to Direk Jay Altarejos,” says Bianca. “Maganda ang treatment niya sa show, parang pelikula. Talagang tututukan mo each episode as you don’t know what will happen next. And what’s nice about Direk Jay is that he trusts his actors. Hindi niya ididikta sa’yo ang acting na gusto niya. He gives you enough leeway to interpret your role. Sabi niya, you already know what you’re doing so bahala na kayo. This is also my most daring show so far kasi nag-topless ako sa love scene namin ni Martin Escudero, but may plaster naman ang front ko.”
Because the story is so engrossing, some viewers are suggesting that they extend it. “Hindi na puede kasi talagang hanggang 12 weeks lang ang itatakbo nito,” says “Obsession” producer Camille Gomba Montano. “It will end just before Holy Week kasi after that, Holy Thursday, then the following week, TV5 will introduce a new show, ‘Pretty Little Liars’.”
It’ll be a lonesome Valentine’s Day for Bianca as her new non-showbiz BF named Julio Villafuerte is currently in Canada to study. She’ll have a lonelyhearts’ date with Rhian Ramos who just broke up with KC Montero. “I’ll host dinner for her and Solenn Heussaff kasi hindi naman daw nagse-celebrate ng Valentine ang Argentinian boyfriend niya,” she says. “And because Solenn has a Valentine show with Ogie Alcasid at Music Museum, manonood muna kami noon.”
Bianca and Martin Escudero will be the special guests this coming Saturday of Michael V in his reality show, “Killer Karaoke”, in its season ender episode. Both of them sing while various challenges are thrown their way. Bianca sings “Insensitive” while inside a tub full of snakes and lizards while Martin sings “Awit ng Kabataan” while he’s being electrocuted.

CHYNNA ORTALEZA plays a pregnant woman abandoned by her husband along with their two kids in the horror flick “Basement”. She gets trapped inside the parking basement of a mall one stormy night when the streets get flooded and no one can get out. “Marami kaming stranded sa basement and it turns out may mysterious creature trapped along with us at isa-isa kaming pinapatay,” she says. “Nakakatakot talaga ang buong movie. Bale ba, while we’re being terrorized, doon ako nag-labor at napaanak by a nurse who happens to be there, si Jan Manual, na caregiver ni Pilita Corrales in the story.”
We’ve seen the movie and the ending showing her daughter, Mona Louise Rey, carrying the baby she just gave birth to, while the creature is right inside with them in an ambulance, is really scary. Chynna confesses that she and her BF of ten years, Railey Valeroso, have broken up a couple of months ago. It’s the fans who noticed it since she no longer posts their pictures together in her Instagram account. Was there a third party involved?
“Wala. We chose to just keep quiet and respect each other. The breakup was a big decision for both of us. We both felt it’s for the better. Kung anuman yung reason, sa amin na lang yun. We’re now both in the process of healing and moving on.”

Roy Alvarez is Dead
Veteran character actor Roy Alvarez is dead. He was 63.
Alvarez, known for his remarkable performance as Keempee de Leon's father in GMA-7 defunct top-rating series My Husband's Lover, died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday, February 11.
He is survived by wife Nieves Campa-Alvarez and daughter Miren Alvarez.
