Vice Ganda Stands Up Against Corruption and Discrimination

Phenomenal Star Vice Ganda gets fiercer in his new album under Star Music titled “#Trending,” where she sings tracks that bravely raise social issues such as corruption and gender inequality.

The actor-host-singer turns brutally honest in his track, “Aba, Matindi” that puts the spotlight on shameless, greedy government officials who continue their corrupt practices despite numerous exposes about their misconduct.

Vice, meanwhile, encourages acceptance and equality in his song, “Ibang Hugis, Ibang Kulay” that mainly talks about gender bias and discrimination.

Vice’s “#Trending” was such an instant hit that it reached gold record status in less than a week after more than 7,500 copies of the album were sold. It was certified by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry, Inc. (PARI).

Also part of the album are “Boom Panes,” “Malaya Ka Na,” and “Push Mo’Yan ‘Te” which features Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez as back-up vocalist. Completing the tracklist are bonus tracks, namely, “Boom Panes Bryan Cua Remix,” “Boom Panes Christmas Remix,” and “Push Mo ‘Yan ‘Te Bryan Cua Remix.” All tracks have minus one versions in the album.

Marian Rivera Wedding Controversy: PNoy as Witness of Honor

Marian Rivera now Marian Rivera - Dantes: PNoy not too busy to attend Marian Rivera Dingdong Dantes Wedding as Witness of Honor
Marian Rivera - Dingdong Wedding last Dec 30 was a 'royal-like'
wedding: Marian Rivera 's reported P2M-worth bridal gown, 8
archbishops, 7 priests present at the ceremony, Marian Rivera had 20
bridesmaids, 40 principal sponsors, 700 guests and had no less than
the Philippine President, Noynoy Aquino, as 'Witness of Honor'
(Oops Let's not forget Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes' 12-ft 3D
wedding cake, which was really W-O-W)

And as expected, PNoy's presence at Marian Rivera Dingdong Wedding
didn't escape the watchful eyes of some people making it a big deal
why the President was there
Some noted that despite having a busy and heavily-loaded schedule as
Philippine President, PNoy found a time to attend a celebrity wedding
and stand as 'witness of honor'
Others also pointed out that PNoy has no time to attend to victims of
Typhoon Yolanda (and even the recent Typhoon Seniang), but there he
is, being seen at the biggest celebrity wedding of the year
According to Kris Aquino on Instagram, their family is thankful to
Dingdong and Marian Rivera for the support they gave during the 2010
Presidential Elections campaign "PNoy w/ the newlyweds Our family will
forever be grateful for the support @dongdantes

Chris Brown Loses Passport, Fails to Make it to Philippine Arena New Year Concert

R and B superstar Chris Brown failed to make it to the Philippines. His reason? He lost his passport.

Maligaya Development Corporation (MDC), which manages The Philippine Arena, the event of Chris Brown concert, announced that Brown won't be seen in the concert because he lost his passport.

"The local representative of Chris Brown and we were informed that Chris is still in Los Angeles because according to them Chris Brown lost his passport the day before the scheduled scheduled event," said MDC via a statement.

Brown also expressed his dismay over the incident via his Twitter account saying he will see Philippines in Spring.

Organizers No Fault

Pinnacle Live Concepts, the local agency in charge of bringing Brown in the country said the singer tried his best to fly during the evening.

“It is with heavy hearts that he is unable to attend and he has tried his physical best to fly over for the evening. We are currently in communication with the venue and exploring all options to address this cancellation,” Pinaccle said.

“(Brown) apologizes for the setback and this non-appearance no way reflects the management and operations of MDC. MDC has no fault on this matter. We hope to amicably come to terms on how we proceed next,” The Pinnacle added.

Atty. Anthony Garcia, the legal counsel of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC), the owner of The Philippine Arena, said they are now looking for legal remedies to “protect the interest of the ticket holders.”
