AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 Thailand vs Malaysia Finals: War Elephants win championship

AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 Finals, Leg 2 of Thailand vs Malaysia has just concluded: Is Thailand the AFF Suzuli champion for the 4th time? Or Malaysia finally won its 2nd AFF championship title?

Malaysia was leading at the half with 2 goals (by Safiq Rahim and Indra), while Thailand was yet to score.

During the 2nd half, Safiq made a goal again, but Thailand amazingly pulled off 2 goals (by Charyl Chappuis and Chanathip), to make it 2-3.

Combining the results of Leg 2 to the 1st leg held in Thailand, it's 4-3 on aggregrate, so it's Thailand's War Elephants as the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup champions. Congratulations!

Our dearest Philippine Azkals finished in the semi-finals, their 3rd straight time now to make it to AFF Suzuki Cup semis.

Pope Francis, among People Asia Magazine's People of the Year 2014 #PopeTYSM

Pope Francis is one of the 'People of the Year' honorees by People
Asia magazine, along with The Voice of the Philippines coach Lea
Salonga, TV hosts Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda and more.
Ahead of his visit to the Philippines, which is just 26 days to go,
Pope Francis is being honored as one of the 'People of the Year' by a
Philippine-based lifestyle magazine.
The December 2014-January 2015 issue of Stargate's People Asia
magazine has been available in newsstands for a week now. You better
get a copy and know more about the 18 'People of the Year' awardees,
including Pope Francis, which the magazine labeled as their special
awardee this year. Whether he's just a last minute addition to the
list or not, it's in perfect timing as he is set to visit the
Philippines next month. The awarding will also be held next month, but
I doubt if he'll be able to attend.
Joining Pope Francis as 'People of the Year' honorees are Queen of All
Media Kris Aquino, King of Talk Boy Abunda, veteran actress Susan
Roces, singers Lea Salonga, Gary V. and Martin Nieverra.
Also awardees are Albert Del Rosario, Mariquita Yeung, Ramon Orlina,
Loida Lewis, Cary Santiago, Henry Chusuey, Hans Sy, Dr. Edgardo Cortez
and Lorenzo Tan.
Aside from the People of the Year awards, People Asia also hands out
the awards Men Who Matter and Women of Style and Substance, usually

Xian Lim No Longer Part of 'Bridges'

Xian Lim is no longer a part of "Bridges," which stars Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador. Xian was supposed to replace John Lloyd Cruz, who has begged off to doing the project due to some "valid reasons."



According to pep.ph, a Star Creatives source revealed that the singer-actor will need to prioritize his reunion TV project with love team Kim Chiu.


In November, Xian said he already started taping for the show. He added that he's excited to be a part of the series, and he is thankful to Star Creatives for entrusting him with the role.

Xyriel Manabat is Rochelle, a Progeria-stricken Teenager in MMK


Xyriel Manabat portrays the role of Rochelle, a Progeria-stricken teenager who, despite her ailment, lives a normal life on ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) tonight at 7:15.

At five years old, Rochelle’s body was overtaken by Progeria, a rare genetic condition that causes a child’s body to show signs of aging. She was told by her doctor that she could expect to live only up to 15 years old. As the sad truth settles in Rochelle’s mind, she decides to live her short life to the fullest and experience things normal people experience - including falling in love.

Will love keep Rochelle’s high hopes to live, or will it cause her more pain?

Also starring in the episode are Paul Salas, Aiko Melendez, Dang Cruz, Maggie dela Riva, Ian de Leon, Eva Darren, Crispin Pineda, Paolo Angeles, Ishmael Claverio, Carlo Lacana, Andrei Garcia, and JM Ibañez as Angeline. Kathryn Bernardo Faces Life's Biggest Regrets


If there is one thing she regrets the most, it could be the pain she caused her family.

Iris (played by Kapamilya Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo) faces one of her biggest regrets in the last two weeks of her “Wansapanataym” special “Puppy ko si Papi.” 

In the episode this Sunday (December 21), Iris begins to feel guilty for all the pain she has caused her Papi Douglas (Dominic Ochoa), especially now that he may transform into a dog permanently. Will Iris finally discover the mistake she needs to correct in order to bring her Papi Douglas back into a human being? What will she do when her father accepts his fate and decides to leave them for good?

Aiko Melendez' Ex-Husband Aims Gun at Anti-drug Operatives, Lands in Jail

Luke Jickain, once married with actress Aiko Melendez, is facing charges of direct assault and alarm and scandal after he was arrested for aiming a gun at anti-drug operatives who tried to pacify him and a man while they were engaged in a fistfight over a parking lot altercation early Friday in Pasay City.

The incident started when the celebrity chef and model and Rommel David fight over who should occupy a vacant parking lot in a restaurant along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City. While the two were fighting, anti-drug operatives of the Pasay police who were passing by saw Jickain and David and tried to pacify the them.

Instead, Jickain pointed his .38-caliber pistol at the operatives. It was then that the two men were taken to the precinct by the police.

Ara Mina gave birth to a healthy baby girl last Wednesday, December 17, 2014, just 8 days before Christmas.

And so the 35-year-old actress, singer, entrepreneur, cook, baker and now mom Ara Mina is describing her first baby as a perfect Christmas
gift from God.

According to her Instagram post, she gave birth to a 7.4-lb baby girl at 11:35 AM Wednesday and they named her Amanda Gabrielle, nicknamed
as Mandy.

Baby Mandy is such a cute and very adorable baby, who will surely grow up so beautiful like her mom Ara Mina (real name is Hazel Reyes) and Tita Cristine Reyes, who's also due to give birth this Summer 2015.

The baby's 36-year-old father, Bulakan Mayor Patrick Meneses, later shared 3 more photos of his newborn baby, also
describing her as "God's gift". He also said that Ara and Mandy completed his life.
