SHOW DESCRIPTION: A new celebrity singing competition show starts airing on GMA Network on Saturday, September 3.

Titled 'Superstar Duets,' the show is hosted by Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado and is considered a first in the Philippines as it combines comedy with a singing competition.

It airs after 'Magpakailanman,' the weekly drama anthology hosted by Mel Tiangco.

The eight celebrities competing to become the country's first Superstar Duets Champion are actor and comedian Mike "Pekto" Nacua; actor and model Joross Gamboa; theater actor and comedian Jerald Napoles; singer and TV host Rita Daniela; singer and actress Denise Barbacena, TV actress and comedienne Divine Grace Aucina, actor and songwriter Nar Cabico, and comedian and host Jeffrey "Osang" Soliven.

The eight celebrity contestants will be paired with impersonators of international superstars.

'PBB: Lucky Season 7' - Vivoree Esclito is evicted!

Vivoree Esclito was evicted from "Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7" teen edition on Saturday, October 22, 2016. She got the lowest percentage of public text votes from among the week's nominees that included Kisses Delavin and Yong Muhajil.

Vivoree was the second among the "lucky 7 teens" that got evicted, and also the second to get evicted through text votes in this season's teen edition.

Last week, the teen who went out of the house was Marco Gallo, the Filipino-Italian that got romantically attracted to her. Will their love story continue now that they're both outside the PBB house?
Here's the final tally of votes:

Kisses got the highest percentage of votes with 43.02%, followed by Yong with 39.56%, and Vivoree with 17.42%.

Vivoree is evicted from PBB Lucky Season 7, Kisses tops voting again #PBB6thEvict

Pinoy Big Brother PBB Lucky Season 7 teen housemates are now down to just 5 after Vivoree Esclito was evicted from the Big Brother house.


Vivoree was able to survive last week's eviction (Marco Gallo was the one evicted), but not this time, when she was nominated alongside Kisses Delavin and Yong Muhajil.

Other than Kisses and Yong, the other remaining housemates are Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber and Christian Morones.

They now have only 2 weeks left, until we find out who will make it to the Teen Big 3.

It was already announced that after the teens, it's the regular housemates' turn to live inside the PBB house. They will be revealed on October 29.

The Walking Dead S7 Premieres October 24 on FOX

"Who did Negan kill?"

That has been the question plaguing the minds of The Walking Dead fans around the world following the cliffhanger ending to season 6 earlier this year. Fans don't have to wait much longer to find out with the highly anticipated Season 7 premiering on FOX on October 24th at 11:35 AM and 8:55 PM, on the same day as the US premiere.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead is an award-winnning drama series and a global phenonmenon, following Rick Grimes and his group as they navigate life and dangers after a zombie apocalypse.

And to kick off this latest season, FOX is launching 'The Riding Dead,' an exclusive VR campaign that places fans in the world of a zombie outbreak. "You've picked the wrong day to be stuck in a traffic jam…" says FOX as the premise of the stunt.

Partnering with Samsung and GrabCar, FOX will offer passengers an opportunity to experience their ride immersed amongst 'walkers,' as zombies are commonly referred to in the series, using Virtual Reality technology, promising a ride they will never forget.

Charo Espedido, Head of Marketing and Programming at FOX Networks Group Philippines, said the campaign aims to excite new and die-hard fans alike.

"This campaign was created specifically for fans in Southeast Asia with all the VR content shot in the region as well. We wanted to bring new fans into The Walking Dead world but also heighten the anticipation amongst the fans who have been following the series over the last 6 seasons, especially given the massive cliffhanger in last season's finale episode. Fans will be mesmerized by the VR experience, and avid fans will also notice certain hints and references to the series storyline that we've purposely dropped in. Make sure to look for them!"

The Riding Dead campaign will run in Manila from October 21 to November 17, 2016. Fans can book a ride through GrabCar's mobile app and keep a look out for the specially customized The Riding Dead GrabCars on the road.

'Pinoy Boyband Superstar' - The Middle Rounds

Forty auditionees successfully made it past the initial stage of "Pinoy Boyband Superstar" and they were called back for the middle rounds.

The first part of the middle rounds was the judges deliberation where Vice Ganda, Yeng Constantino, Sandara Park and Aga Muhlach had to choose their top twenty contestants where the first four 5-member groups would come from.

Three English-speaking contestants were included in their top twenty but Vice had qualms about them. For the comedian, a "Pinoy Boyband Superstar" member needs to understand Tagalog and knows how to speak the language.
Russel Reyes, James Ryan Cesena and Sef Hynard were called back in front of the judges because Vice wanted to know if they did their assignments - to learn how to speak Tagalog and sing OPM.
Russel, 17, from Chicago, did well with his rendition of "Kung Ako Na Lang Sana." His pronunciation could pass as someone who understands what he is singing, but when Vice asked him what the second stanza of the song means, he faltered.

James Ryan is also 17 and also from the U.S. He chose Bamboo's "Hallelujah" but he forgot the lyrics midway. He tried to sing patches of the lyrics until he was able to get to the part that he knows the lyrics of.

The third "English-er" was Sef, 24, from Pasig. He's half-British and his accent while singing Ezra Band's "Walang Iba" was still so "thick."

Among the three, all four judges agreed that Sef was the weakest.
It wasn't revealed yet, however, if any of them became part of or was removed from the top twenty contestants.
Meanwhile, the top twenty was divided into four groups of five. Those who could sing ballad were put together into one group, there's also an acoustic group, pop, and R&B.
A fifth group, the upbeat, would come from the bottom twenty.
The groups that were formed in the judges deliberation would be revealed in the Sunday episode, so better tune in tomorrow.

Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza tie the knot in Kalyeserye

The much-awaited wedding of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza's characters in "Eat Bulaga's" Kalyeserye happened on Saturday, October 22, 2016, taking social media by storm with the hashtag #ALDUBWedding.

Majority of the key characters in Kalyeserye were present in the wedding. The three lolas, of course, were present, as well as Maine's dad Dudong (Vic Sotto), Alden's Lola Babah (Ai-Ai delas Alas), as well as Maine's classmate Jake (Jake Ejercito).
Maid of Honor was played by Maine's real-life sister Coleen, while Rodjun Cruz was the Best Man. The Baes were also there as secondary sponsors and groomsmen.
Mike Enriquez, Helen Gamboa and Joey de Leon were some of the primary sponsors.

Almost all the Dabarkads were present at the wedding. Ryzza Mae Dizon, Baste Granfon (and even his younger brother), the grandson of Tito Sotto, the daughter of Pia Guanio were all part of the entourage.
The kiss was actually the most anticipated part of the event. It was postponed (for a commercial gap) because Lola Nidora (Wally Bayola) passed out, but then what's a wedding without a kiss?
According to those who counted, Alden and Maine's first kiss as husband and wife lasted for 11 seconds. But you can clearly see where Maine's lipstick left a mark after the kiss.
Can't wait for the release of the wedding video shot by the famous videographer Jason Magbanua. It will surely go viral once made available on the internet.

McCoy De Leon asks Elisse Joson's mom to take her daughter as his date at the Star Magic Ball

A few hours before Star Magic Ball begins, McCoy De Leon of Hashtags has asked the mother of Elisse Joson to bring her daughter as his date to the annual Star Magic Ball.

After their number on It's Showtime, McCoy revealed that he still has no date at the ball. Cheret! So he formally asked the permission of Elisse;s mom who was seated at the audience. He approached Tita Barbs (Elisse;s mom) and asked if it's okay to take Elisse as his date.

As a response, the mom said "McLisse naman iyan, di ba? Okay na yun." signalling her approval.

After getting mom's approval, McCoy gave their fans a signal to formally "raise" his offer to Elisse to be his date. A set of placards were raised that reads "Will You Be My Date, My Princess?" .

A resounding "YES" was given by his princess Elisse. Sulit much, McCoy! ?

Gary V. sings "Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak" to Enchong Dee LIVE

Enchong Dee's video with Mr. Pure Enery Energy Gary V and tv host Luis Manzano has gone viral. The kapamilya actor uploaded the video on his Instagam account @mr_enchongdee video which uses the Ang Probinsyano themesong "Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak".

The song itself is being used in memes by netizens as a way of re-telling a story (mostly foreign and non-teleseryes) what if it's made in the Philippines.

In the video, Enchong insists himself as being a child of Luis Manzano but the latter denies him. Gary V. then sings part of the the song live and in flesh.

Not just Piolo suddenly appeared on stage to the delight of viewers, the two hosts also surprised the audience when they suddenly kissed on the lips.

The "Liga ng Katotohanan" tagline was also dropped in the newscast's titlecard and launched a new slogan "Ikaw at ang Balita" (You and the News). With the help of social media, Saksi launched a segment called "Saksi Ako" where viewers can make their own report there by using cellphone and camera recordings via GMA's Youscoop. The new theme is incorporated with the elements of the 2008–2011 theme music & 2004–2008 theme music and its 2004-2008 bed music. Months after the reformat, Saksi re-designed its graphic packages, and in July 2013, it launched its segment "Midnight Snack", a food-trip segment hosted by Mikael Daez every Mondays to Thursdays, After a one-week hiatus, On November 5, 2013, it returned under the new title "Midnight Express". As part of GMA News' shakeup, Vicky Morales bid farewell to the show after 15 years and was added as the third anchor of 24 Oras, Pia Arcangel, replaced Morales, during that time. The new Saksi launched in November 10, 2014 with new upbeat soundtracks, its newly flat graphic package, and its new title card starts to continue using the camera lens background.

Rufa Mae Quinto posts wedding invitation

Rufa Mae Quinto can't contain her excitement now that her wedding with non-showbiz partner Fil-Am Trevor Magallanes is coming nearer.

The sexy comedienne posted on her Instagram account @rufamaequinto a photo of the wedding invitation to be sent to her guests. She wrote,

"Can't believe the wedding is right around the corner.... our wedding invitations are finalized ?? Just the final touches for the wedding now. I am so excited!"

Rufa Mae is currently on her 22nd week of pregnancy. The wedding is set on November 25 this year.
