SHOW DESCRIPTION: Someone to Watch Over Me is a Philippine romantic drama series to be broadcast by GMA Network starring Tom Rodriguez and Lovi Poe. It premiered on September 5, 2016 replacing Juan Happy Love Story on the network's primetime GMA Telebabad block and also worldwide on GMA Pinoy TV.

This inspirational drama tackles the story of a wife's unwavering love for her husband who is suffering from Early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Tom Rodriguez breathes life to the character of TJ Chavez, a playful and outgoing guy who falls madly in love with Joanna. He and his wife will face their biggest setback when he is diagnosed with the rare disorder. Lovi Poe is Joanna Mercado, the compassionate wife of TJ. She will do everything for her sick husband even allowing Irene into their lives and into their home. As Irene receives all of TJ's love and affection, Joanna acts as TJ's nurse who takes care of his needs. Max Collins plays the role of Irene Montenegro, TJ's ex-girlfriend. She tries to stay away from TJ but he keeps seeking her as he no longer recognizes Joanna as his wife. How far can Joanna still go and what else is she willing to do for her ill husband? Will TJ continue fighting for his love for Irene or will he finally remember Joanna as his wife and as someone who stayed with him despite his sickness and her pain? SHOW DESCRIPTION: Alyas Robin Hood (lit.?Alias Robin Hood) is an upcoming Philippine drama-action series broadcast by GMA Network starring Dingdong Dantes, Megan Young and Andrea Torres. It is set to premiere in September 19, 2016 on GMA Telebabad primetime block replacing the Korean drama Descendants of the Sun and also aired worldwide on GMA Pinoy TV.

According to its producers the series was inspired by the English folklore, Robin Hood.

Many netizens accused GMA for ripping off a DC Comics character, Green Arrow, and the hit American action-adventure television series, Arrow after a Facebook user posted a comparison between Arrow and the alleged poster of Alyas Robin Hood which was actually a fan-art from a blogsite. While others simply see a cash-in or riding the popularity of the said show. The controversy continues when the teaser of the series was released. Stephen Amell, who played as Green Arrow on the American television series posted his blushed emoji from the shared video on Facebook. In a response, Suzette Doctolero, Alyas Robin Hood consultant clarified that it is not a rip-off of Arrow and both Alyas Robin Hood and the DC character/TV series are inspired by English folklore Robin Hood.

Jerome Alecre has confessed he's a gay man on Pinoy Big Brother PBB Lucky Season 7.


Jerome Alecre joins Fifth Solomon and BB Gandanghari (formerly Rustom Padilla) in the club of housemates who outed themselves while inside the Pinoy Big Brother house

Dubbed as the Overseas Filipino Warrior ng Tondo, Jerome Alecre, 32, made the suprising gay admission in front of his fellow housemates during their New Year's Eve party.

"Aura, Cora, Baninay, Tanner, Wil...I am a gay man," Jerome admitted to his co-housemates, who were visibly shocked but looked delighted to hear that and later gave Jerome a group hug.

Full details of Jerome Alecre's gay confession will be revealed on tonight's episode of PBB.

I was also surprised by Jerome being gay, 'coz he didn't show traces to be suspected as such, except that one scene though - his gay-ish reaction when he saw his mom in the Confession Room.

In past editions of PBB, two housemates also made gay or bisexual admission, such as Rustom Padilla aka BB Gandanghari during Celebrity Edition 1 and Fifth Pagotan during PBB All In edition.

Die Beautiful Movie Review: Paulo Ballesteros And Christian Bables Deserve Their Best Actor & Supporting Actor Awards

'DIE BEAUTIFUL' starts with the lead character Patrick aka Trisha Echeverria (Paolo Ballesteros) dying from aneurysm right after winning the title in a gay beauty pageant. From there, his life's journey is told in flashbacks in non-chronological fashion, intertwining his struggles as a transgender with the events that happen during his week-long wake. This treatment makes it possible for the more commercial elements aimed to please and satisfy the audience with the film's more serious objective of giving us an intimate look into the travails and struggles of a transgender.

Scripted by Rody Vera based on a story idea of Jun Lana, who directed the movie, "Die Beautiful" chronicles the drama-filled life and heartaches of a gay man trying to find his own place in the sun. We see him being mauled by his homophobic dad, his college crush brutally rapes him along with several other men, a macho dancer whose nose job he financed dumps him for a parlorista and a girl he adopts and raises by himself runs away and gets pregnant. But all this is told amidst a hilarious series of gay beauty pageants he joins, serving as a foil against the serious setbacks that Trisha experiences in life.


Throughout all his colorful experiences, Paolo Ballesteros stands out as Trisha, making this THE acting vehicle of his lifetime, handling all his scenes with the right mixture of levity and sensitivity. He's better known as one of the many hosts in "Eat Bulaga" who excels when it comes to appearing in drag and doing celebrity impersonations, but in this movie (he has appeared in supporting roles in other films before), he just shines and shimmers whether in tender scenes where he gives valuable advice to his adopted daughter (Inah de Belen), being defiant to his conservative father and sister (Joel Torre and Gladys Reyes), or tearfully sharing his hurts and frustrations in life and love with his best friend Barbie (Christian Bables). His comic scenes are all handled skillfully, like his spoof of Jaclyn Jose's deadpan delivery of her lines that is "bentang-benta" to the audience.

Paolo succeeds in making Trisha someone human, someone we can care for and not just a ridiculous caricature even if he is transformed into Katy Perry, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce, etc. while he's lying in his coffin. He is wonderfully supported by Christian Bables who has his own splendid moments as Barbie, like when he says he wants to be in a barong when he dies because the body he just borrowed from God must be returned in its original state.

Lana's direction is generally fine but we felt the running time at two hours is just too long. It can stand some trimming and there are some parts where the film loses its grip and focus for the sake of "pakwela" scenes like Eugene Domingo popping up in a scene that fails to elicit that much laughter.
Honestly, we believe the whole episode involving Luis Alandy's character can be excised (the twist about him being a rapist is actually ineffectual and hollow) and it will not hurt the film at all but wil even help quicken the pacing. Despite these quibbles, "Die Beautiful" is still a must see movie that you shouldn't miss. We're glad that it did good at the box office after other gay themed movies this year ("Working Beks", "That Thing Called Tanga Na", "Bakit Lahat ng Guwapo, May Boyfriend") did badly at the tills.

Tanner Mata gets the 1st Lucky House in PBB Lucky Season 7 Regular Edition

Tanner Mata got the 1st Lucky House in the regular edition of Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 after winning the Big Jump challenge. It automatically makes him a part of this PBB season's Dream Team, along with the top threes from the celebrity and teen edition.

Aside from Tanner, there will be two more regular housemates that will get Lucky Houses and will become part of the Dream Team.

And to determine the other two Lucky Houses, the remaining 5 regular housemates have been named nominees for eviction, and the voting lines have been opened Sunday night.

One housemate will be evicted on Monday, and another one will leave the house on Tuesday. Their fates will be based on the viewers' text votes.
