Vin Abrenica Happy With His First ABS-CBN Soap, 'Wildflower', And With Good Feedback For His Performance In The Movie, 'Moonlight Over Baler'

VIN ABRENICA is happy to be doing his first regular soap for ABS-CBN, "Wildflower", where he's one of the leading men of Maja Salvador along with Joseph Marco and RK Bagatsing. "I've done soaps with TV5 before pero siempre, kabado ako rito kasi first soap ko as a Kapamilya," he says. "I really try to give my best kasi puro magagaling din ang mga kasama naming artista rito like Tirso Cruz III, Aiko Melendez, Wendell Ramos, Sunshine Cruz at marami pang iba."

The film where he plays his first starring role, "Moonlight Over Baler", is still showing in several theaters nationwide and he's happy to be getting positive feedback from viewers for his fine performance in his dual roles as Nestor, a soldier in World War II, and as Kenji, a Japanese photographer. Is it true that he's not the first choice for his role but his Kuya Aljur?

"Yes, sinabi naman sa'kin ni Direk Gil Portes na the role is really meant for my Kuya Aljur, but he got busy with a new soap when shooting was about to start so they had to look for a replacement.

They had an audition at marami kaming nag-try out. I certainly didn't mind na hindi ako ang original choice. I was just so happy when I was informed na ako nga ang napili for the dual roles of Nestor and Kenji. The movie was inspired by the true story of Direk Gil's aunt who waited for the return of her boyfriend na lumaban sa giyera, played here by Ms. Elizabeth Oropesa, pero hindi na bumalik yung lalaki. Then years later, she meets a young man na kamukha-kamukha ng nawala niyang kasintahan. The movie answers the question na: until when are you willing to wait for a lost love? Very touching ang story and all those who've already seen it say na bagay na bagay ito sa Valentine's Day as it's about true and faithful love."

Solenn Heussaff So Busy Doing Three Shows So, For Her, "Motherhood Can Wait"

AFTER BEING part of the sitcom "A1 Ko Sa'yo", Solenn Heussaff is glad to now be in the new comedy musical show, "Full House Tonight" that starts airing on February 18 after "Magpakailanman". "Mas nakaka-pressure itong 'Full House Tonight' kasi ibang level ang comedy rito at puro comedians talaga ang kasama ko like Philip Lazaro, Kim Idol, Nar Cabico, Terry Gian, Sarah Brakensiek, and Tammy Brown at puro magagaling sila. But so far, so good, maganda ang bonding naming lahat. Masaya ang buong cast and I'm learning a lot from them on how to be funny, including from our main host, Regine Velasquez, who has a natural knack for comedy. She doesn't mind if she makes fun of herself or others are making fun of her at ganun din naman ako. We're ready for anything to make people laugh. I'm sure watching 'Full House Tonight' will soon be a regular weekend habit for local viewers."

So she's doing action-fantasy as Cassiopeia in "Encantadia" and she's making people laugh in "Full House Tonight". "Ang ganda nga, di ba? I get to do different kinds of shows. Tapos may Valentine show pa ako on Tuesday with Ogie Alcasid and Ai Ai de las Alas, '#HugotPlaylist' at the Kia Theatre, so I'm really so busy."

So she really has no plans of having a baby yet after her wedding to Nico Bolzico? "Not this year, baka next year pa. I'm making lagari in several shows now, kasi may 'Taste Buddies' pa ako sa GMA News TV. And I might do new movies kasi nag-audition din ako for an international film. Wala nga ako halos time for my husband. It's good he's very understanding kasi busy rin naman siya. Anyway, buong life naman namin, we will be together. So, next year na lang kami mag-try mag-baby kasi I'm turning 32 and my biological clock is ticking. When that happens, I have to lessen my workload para hindi ako masyadong mai-stress for the baby."
