In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Llamanzares said she saw Alonzo’s performance in the movie “The Mistress” and was really impressed.
“Siyempre, libre naman mag-ilusyon, di ba? Kaya sabi ko, Bea Alonzo, di ba? Napanood ko siya sa 'The Mistress,' eh. Sabi ko ang ganda-ganda niya, parang simpleng-simple, ganoon. At saka maganda naman yung image, simple din siyang umarte, may impact, magaling,” she said.
Asked if she already talked to Alonzo, Llamanzares said: “Sabi ko ilusyon lang naman. Pero I know she’s busy, so I don’t know.”
Llamanzares, who is the adopted daughter of actor Fernando Poe Jr. and actress Susan Roces, said she will meet with the "MMK" staff soon to discuss the storyline of the episode.
The senatorial aspirant said she wants the story to focus mainly on her life as an adopted child.
“Yung highlight siyempre, 'yung advocacy ng adoption. Kasi 'yung parang, bakit ka ituturing na isang anak? Anong ibig sabihin nun? Anong stigma nun nung lumalaki ako? Maraming mga taong nanliliit sa mga katulad namin. Pero makikita mo naman na ang mga katulad namin, nais din naming patunayan ang sarili namin na mahal namin at may utang na loob kami sa aming mga magulang,” she said.
Llamanzares shared she learned that she was adopted at a very young age.
“Siguro I was like Grade 1 or Grade 2. Basta I remember because I had a classmate who was upset with me, so she basically used it as an insult na parang, ‘Ampon ka lang,’” she said.
Despite the mockery she received while growing up, Llamanzares said she is not ashamed to admit that she is adopted.
“Hanggang ngayon mayroong ganon pero at least ngayon mayroon nang awareness na it’s actually a noble thing to be able to raise a child that’s not biologically yours, to teach that child to grow up to be responsible and decent. That’s why I believe early childhood is very important and affording the child the opportunity to grow up to be a responsible adult,” she explained.
She said she owes it to Poe and Roces to pursue this advocacy.
Meanwhile, Llamanzares shared that she never got the chance to know her biological parents. She nonetheless thanked them for choosing to keep her alive.
“I’m grateful for the fact that they at least they chose life but then you can’t also take it away from me that my parents in my heart, of course, are the ones that really sacrificed so much raising me,” she said. By wanderer || Full Story: Kapamilyalogy
