Manila Philippines - Rumors started circulating online that Nadine Lustre will portray 'Shan Cai' the popular female character from the Taiwanese Drama series 'Meteor Garden' in a brand new adaptation of the TV series.

It's been long-rumored that ABS-CBN is planning a remake of the said phenomenal romantic-comedy drama series wherein different names have been tossed around to play the role of Shan Cai. Names like Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano and Nadine Lustre are the favorites to play the role. Rising teen sensation Nadine Lustre is a leading candidate to portray the role of Shan Cai for the upcoming Filipino adaptation of 'Meteor Garden'.
