You're My Boss movie teaser has been unveiled already on ASAP 20 earlier and the playdate for this Toni Gonzaga-Coco Martin first ever movie team up has also been set: April 4, which is a Black Saturday. 'Para Sa Hopeless Romantic' meanwhile, starring James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Julia Barretto and Inigo Pascual has been delayed once again, and it's now reportedly set for May 13, 2015 (hope it's final already).
Coming off very successful movies last year ('Starting Over Again' for Toni, 'Maybe This Time', 'Feng Shui 2' for Coco), the 2 box-office stars are headlining Star Cinema's upcoming rom-com flick 'You're My Boss', directed by the newest box-office director Antoinette Jadaone ('That Thing Called Tadhana').
Saw the teaser and it looks really cute. Yeah, cute is the perfect term to describe it. Never imagined Toni and Coco would make a lovely pair for a romantic comedy film, but the first trailer shows they are a fun tandem to watch.
Won't be surprised if 'You're My Boss' brings in big box-office grosses. The box-office record to beat for a Filipino film that opened on a Black Saturday was the almost P400-million gross earned by the John Lloyd Cruz-Sarah Geronimo movie 'It Takes A Man and A Woman' 2 years ago. Hard to match, but anything above P150-million would be fine for this movie. And that's if it won't suffer a major setback caused by tough competitions, since a potential Hollywood blockbuster, "Fast & Furious 7", is also opening on the same day and is expected to rule big-time in the Philippine box-office.
They're of different genre though, and 'You're My Boss' is a super nice alternative for those moviegoers going away from 'Furious 7'.
The debut of 'You're My Boss' teaser trailer has somehow saddened some JaDine fans 'coz it just means one thing: 'You're My Boss' which started filming just last month will be shown in cinemas ahead of the much-delayed 'Para Sa Hopeless Romantic' movie.
Filmed late 2014, PSHR, which is a co-production by Star Cinema and Viva Films, was supposed to hit theaters last January, but was moved to March. However, it has been postponed again, reportedly getting a May release.
Even the Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla movie 'Crazy Beautiful You', which was filmed just last January until mid-February, was shown ahead of the 3rd JaDine movie and is now on its 3rd mega blockbuster week.
