Typhoon "Chedeng" with international name Maysak to make Easter landfall
At 2PM today, April 4, PAGASA has tracked Typhoon Chedeng at 385 km
southeast of Casiguran, Aurora or 160 km northeast of Virac Radar in
Catanduanes, with coordinates of 14.7N, 125.3E
Typhoon Chedeng has a maximum strong winds of 130kph and gustiness of
160kph, and is forecast to move west northwest at 22kph
Expected landfall of Typhoon Chedeng is on Easter Sunday morning,
April 5, over the coast of Southern Isabela
Previously, Catanduanes was the only one placed under Public Storm
Warning Signal #2, but in the latest update, 9 others are now also
under #2 beside Catanduanes, such as Isabela, Southern Cagayan,
Kalinga, Mt Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and
Aurora
At least 10 areas meanwhile are under Signal #1: Rest of Cagayan
including Babuyan Island, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, La
Union, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pampangan, Bulacan, Rizal,
Quezon, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.
