Three Pinoy kids with foreign blood successfully made it past the Blind Auditions of "The Voice Kids Philippines" season 2 on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Filipino-Japanese Kiyana Bongat who is from Cavite made it as the 7th member of Team Lea.
Kiyana, 11, sang Bruno Mars' "Grenade" which also made coach Bamboo Mañalac turn for her. However, it was coach Lea Salonga that she picked.
Luke James Alford from Batangas, meanwhile, was the only 3-chair turner for the night. The Filipino-British school heartthrob impressed all three coaches with his rendition of Train's "Hey Soul Sister."
Before he was called to the stage, Luke, 10, told host Yeng Constantino that he wants coaches Lea and Bamboo to turn for him, but he got a bonus when coach Sarah Geronimo also turned.
He chose to be the 8th member of Team Lea. Before that, however, coach Lea said he's "a star in the making."
Mikhaela "Mandy" Sevillana, meanwhile, was so cute with her very lively way of talking. She said her father is a German who left her for his other family. Her mom, a Filipina, also has her own family. Little Mandy was given as a baby to her mom's cousin who has been taking care of her until now.
The 11-year-old sang the gospel tune "Hesus" and her rendition made coach Sarah turn. Tonight, she became Team Sarah's 10th member.
Meanwhile, Nicole Apolinar, a shy, boyish kid from Cebu also made it tonight. She's the only successful auditionee tonight who's a pure Filipino.
Nicole, 12, said she's "comfortable about being boyish because it's part of being cool." During her Blind Audition, however, she let go of pants for a more feminine look. And she looked pretty.
She did One Republic's "Secrets" which impressed coach Bamboo, the coach that she really wanted to turn for her. It made her the 8th member of Team Bamboo.
Four young singers got in. As for the number of artists in each team, Team Sarah still has the most number of members with 10, while Team Lea and Team Bamboo have 8 members each.
