After investigations on the controversial fake rice failed to yield results, another reports of fake or synthetic noodles being allegedly distributed in Davao City.
Based on the report from Inquirer.net, Gary Gensianos, a Barangay Chairman in Upper Saloy in Calinan District, showed the alleged fake 'bihon' purchased in their public market last Friday.
The physical appearances of supposedly fake bihon noodles were odorless, slimy compared to the normal noodles, and did not spoil.
Food and Drugs Administration tested the brought samples of the product. It is done to see if the noodles are safe and authentic. It needs to be tested to see if there are harmful elements that could cause diseases. If it is harmful, then it should not be available to the public.
