Bagyong Lawin Update, as of 11PM Tuesday, October 18, 2016: PAGASA's latest weather bulletin for Typhoon LAWIN shows that LAWIN (now a super typhoon, according to US JWTC) has intensified as it continues to move in the general direction of Northern Luzon, and is expected to intensify further before making landfall over Cagayan area early morning Thursday, Oct. 20.
The eye/center of Bagyong Lawin (international name: Haima) has been located 755 km East of Baler, Aurora with coordinates 15.7°N, 128.6°E, maximum sustained winds of up to 195 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph. It's forecast to move West Northwest at 25 kph.
Here's the satellite image of Bagyong Lawin as of 1030 last night, included there are the areas where public storm warning signals have been raised.
