During a product endorsement event in Makati City on Tuesday, October 11, Kris Aquino admitted that parting ways with ABS-CBN was her 'fault' and that she 'overestimated' her worth.
"It was my fault. I could still be there now. I was stupid but none of you knew that it was the time of the Abu Sayyaf threat. There were also health issues. Siguro that time, akala ko pagbalik ko may space pa. I overestimated my worth," she said.
Last month, Kris confirmed that she is leaving the Kapamilya network which has been her home network for two decades. She is now working with Tony Tuviera of TAPE Inc. and APT Entertainment.
"I miss them. I miss the work. I miss what I knew. I miss the daily conversations. I miss the 12 midnight text telling me na ito 'yung nabago sa schedule. I miss my cameramen. We were like a family. This is also like an annulment," she added.
When asked if there are any chances that she might return to ABS-CBN, she said that she doesn't have an exclusive contract with any TV network yet.
"So if it's God's will, it might happen, and I would be the happiest person. But if it's also God's will that GMA will welcome me, it'd be great. If CNN sasabihin nila na part of the package is I get to meet (American chef and TV host) Anthony Bourdain, I'm very excited right now," she said.
