The Top 9 boyband member wannabes performed songs that were requested by fans during the 4th live performance night of Pinoy Boyband Superstar.
The 1st group to perform this week was composed of Mark Oblea, Tony Labrusca and Allen Cecilio. They performed Gusto Kita, an OPM originally recorded by Gino Padilla.

Mark, Tony and Allen wore a matching coat and shorts in pastel colors and they looked cute. Very boyband, indeed.
The singing was just okay, as noticed by the judges. According to Vice Ganda, all three boys were trying to be safe, reason why no one shone during the performance. Aga Muhlach's advice: they just have to believe in their singing voices.
Ford Valencia, Niel Murillo and Russell Reyes were in the second group. They sang I Swear, originally recorded by All 4 One.

Power vocals. All of them could sing and their rifts were good as well. They were given a standing ovation by all 4 judges.
Niel was the most praised because of his vocals. Vice Ganda also commented that he found 3 of the 5 members of the boyband they are forming in this group.
The 3rd group to perform consisted of Joao Constancia, James Ryan Cesena and Tristan Ramirez. They sang and danced to Rude by Magic! There was a part towards the end where they did a full dance routine without mics and, boy, did the girls scream with excitement.

It was Tristan's shining moment. Vice even called him the dark horse of the competition.
The judges, meanwhile, commended Joao for knowing his strength. His vocals may not be strong but he could move.
The show had a different process of choosing the weakest performers this week.
Last week, they picked the weakest performer from each of the group. This time, though, they named the safe performers.
Group 1 (Gusto Kita)
Safe: Mark Oblea and Tony Labrusca
Weakest: Allen Cecilio
Group 2 (I Swear)
Safe: Neil Murillo and Ford Valencia
Weakest: Russell Reyes
Group 3 (Rude)
Safe: Tristan Ramirez and Joao Constancia
Weakest: James Ryan Cesena
It only means that one among Allen, Russell and James Ryan will be eliminated from the competition tomorrow. It's the second week in a row for Allen while it's the first for Russell to be in the weakest group. James Ryan, meanwhile, was also one of the weakest during the 2nd live show.
