From the looks of it, he really has more fans rooting and cheering for him than for Ivan Dorschner, Jak Roberto or Addy Raj. What can Ken say about this? "I really don't know what to say," he says. "At this point, lahat kami, wala pang nakakaalam as to who Barbie will end up with. Basta lahat kami, happy sa show dahil consistently high sa ratings and anywhere we go, talagang laging mainit ang pagtanggap sa amin ng tao. Another reason I'm so happy with this show is natulungan nitong burahin sa isip ng tao yung dati kong beki role sa 'Destiny Rose'. Kahit saan ako magpunta ngayon, mas kilala na nila ako as Yuan."
When "Meant to Be" started airing in January replacing "Someone to Watch Over Me", folks were saying it's copied from the Taiwanese hit "Meteor Garden". But now that the story has branched out into other subplots with more characters, it is now so distant to "MG".
"I was in grade 4 noong unang ipalabas dito ang MG in 2001," says Ken. "We watched it at home at memorized ko lahat ng names ng actors and characters in it. I admit na naging peg ng character ko as Yuan yung pagiging maangas ni Jerry Yan as Dao Ming Si. But now, malayo na rin yung tinakbo ni Yuan, lalo ngayong dumating na yung dati kong girlfriend played by Ayra Mariano. Yung subplot involving the other characters played by Gloria Romero and Ronaldo Valdez, and also nina Manilyn Reynes, Keempee de Leon, Tina Paner and Janno Gibbs really make it so different sa MG. And we have to thank our director, L.A. Madridejos, kasi nag-evolve na ang 'Meant to Be' on its own."
