In contrast, Jameson has been doing one movie after another. After he won the best supporting actor award in Cinema One's "2 Cool 2B 4Gotten", he did "Nabubulok" with Gina Alajar, "Nay" with Sylvia Sanchez, "Unexpectedly Yours" as Julia Barretto's London-based boyfriend. Now, he is in Regal Entertainment's Metro Filmfest entry, "Haunted Forest", and is doing two more new movies, "So Connected" with Janella Salvador (also for Regal) and "Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi" with Sue Ramirez for IdeaFirst Company. On TV, he was also busy doing "A Love to Last" and "Wansapanataym".
How does he feel about all these positive turns in his career? "Siempre, nakaka-pressure," says Jameson at the presscon of "Haunted Forest". "After I won best supporting actor, parang ang taas lagi ng expectations nila. So ayoko na lang isipin and I just take a deep breath each time I face the camera and focus na lang sa anumang role na ginagawa ko."
And what about being compared to Ronnie Alonte? "Honestly, it's unfair to compare us, lalo na when they say mas magaling ka. I won't judge myself na I'm better or anything. We each have our own strengths."
In "Haunted Forest", he gets to work Star Magic co-stars Jane Oineza, Maris Racal and Jon Lucas. "Mahirap yung shoot kasi we shot in an actual forest. Maraming action, mga habulan. May scenes na natumba kami sa gubat, biglang may mga gumapang na langgam sa amin, pero hindi kami makatayo dahil baka masira yung eksena. But it's worth all the trouble kasi maganda talaga lumabas yung movie. We're all proud of it and so happy na we qualified as an official entry in the filmfest. Magaling yung director namin, si Ian Lorenos. He's very young and had great rapport with all of us. If you want to get a really good scare, watch 'Haunted Forest' sa filmfest and we guarantee you na matatakot kayo talaga."
