Through Twitter, she expressed that she doesn’t see anything wrong with lip-syncing, especially when a singer performs in front of a big crowd.
“I sing. But I'm not perfect. I would totally lip sync if I would do some big events with millions of people watching,” was Charice’s reply to one of her fan's tweet on Monday, February 6.
Charice continued sharing her thoughts, saying that the media will always have something to say about anyone’s performance and advised her fans to “Just do your thing and be noticed no matter what. Good or Bad.”
The young singer added that lip-syncing doesn’t necessarily translate to cheating, as it can also help in easing the nervousness of a singer.
“It's not a crime or cheating. Sometimes it just makes you feel better. I would be realllllly nervous,” she said.
Charice also admitted that she still feels the nerves every time she performs.
“Seriously? I am not the most perfect person out there. I'm still nervous even if I just sit down and do interviews,” she said.
Charice who's not new to being the subject of negative comments already predicted how some netizens would react after reading her fearless Twitter statements.
“I bet some people would write something like, "Oh geez, Charice is lip syncing now!" boo! Lol. What do you expect anyway,” she conveyed.
Charice will stage a concert in Dubai on March 2 as part of her “Infinity” concert tour and Manila on March 9 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
