In an interview with the show’s host Boy Abunda on Sunday, April 29, Annabelle recalled that Nadia asked her (Annabelle) to request production people of a soap opera Nadia’s daughters Alyanna and Annika Asistio were doing to allow them to work only on weekends so they can prioritize their studies (tapings were held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
Annabelle turned down the request, saying that she is in no position to propose such an arrangement since Nadia’s kids played only minor roles.
Annabelle also denied Nadia’s claim that she did not want the children to be pulled out of the show because they were part of a “package deal” with other talents that she manages.
“Isang tawag niya lang sa’kin na i-pull out yung anak nya, pull out,” Annabelle said.
Not close
When Boy asked about the quality of her former friendship with Nadia, Annabelle was quick to say that they weren’t close.
“Actually, Boy, hindi ko siya close,” Annabelle relates, adding that she and Nadia met through a common friend,. Annabelle surmised that Nadia may have been close to Ruffa (Gutierrez, Annabelle’s daughter) during their “That’s Entertainment” days. But things have changed.
“Kaya ako nagdesisiyong tulungan si Nadia kasi lagi siyang nagungutang sa’kin,” Annabelle explains why she offered help to Nadia and her kids in the first place. Instead of lending Nadia money, Annabelle decided to give her and her children a source of income instead.
What does Annabelle say about Nadia’s statement that she will not shed a single tear for her?
“Kung galing sa puso mo ang sinabi mo, eh di papatak ang luha mo, ‘day,” she responded to Boy’s question.
As for Nadia’s opinion that she was wrong in trusting her, Annabelle retorted, “Ako ang walang ginawang mali sa kanya.”
Message to Nadia
She has only sharp words to give as a way of advising Nadia.
