Several celebrities such as Sharon Cuneta, Carmina Villarroel, Ces Drilon, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Smokey Manaloto, Ogie Diaz and Allan K asked their followers to pray for Dolphy. #PrayforDolphy and Dolphy also trended on Twitter in the Philippines.
Sharon Cuneta tweeted, “PLEASE, PLEASE PRAY FOR DOLPHY.”
Anne Curtis, who is currently in the US, asked for “prayer warriors” to rally behind the Comedy King.
“Just read updates about Tito Dolphy. Prayer warriors let's all pray for him....Get well soon Tito Dolphy,” she tweeted.
“Bandila” news anchor Ces Drilon also tweeted, “for all the laughter that he has given us, let's pray for Dolphy. That he is spared pain and suffering.”
“Let's all include Tito Dolphy in our prayers before we sleep tonight,” Vice Ganda tweeted.
Ai-ai delas Alas, Maricel Soriano, Smokey Manaloto, Vhong Navarro and Tirso Cruz III visited Dolphy in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Ai-ai was teary-eyed when she told “Bandila” how special Dolphy is to her.
“Nagrespond naman siya nung sinabi ko na, “Tito Dolphy, I love you. Andito po kami.” Tapos sinabi ng mga anak niya, “Andito po si Ai-ai, andito si Maria (Maricel Soriano), si Tito Al Quinn.” Parang gusto niyang sumagot pero natutulog siya,” Ai-ai said.
Ai-Ai talked about her high respect for the Comedy King, whom she said is an industry icon. She asked everyone to pray for Dolphy.
“Yung respeto po natin, bukod na siya ay Comedy King, siya po ay icon ng industriya. Magdasal po tayo para sa ating Comedy King.”
