“Ngayon po wala na akong time para d’yan. Dahil dito lamang sa mga shows na gagawin ko TV5, baka maubos na po,” he actor told members of the press on Monday, July 2.
“Wala muna. Wala muna po,” he replied when asked about political plans next year.
Reports say Cesar was seen in a meeting with Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim. But Cesar clarified it was because of a possible movie they’ll be working on.
“This is another true-to-life story of Alfredo Lim. And baka ipalabas natin… Ang intensiyon ng Solar Films ay ipalabas this year,” he said, adding the film, if it pushes through, will focus on the mayor’s younger years.
One of his dreams
The award-winning actor-director will be one of the hosts of TV5’s upcoming artista search, “Artista Academy.” And while he hasn’t signed a contract with the network just yet, Cesar is open to working with TV5 for the long haul.
What type of projects would he want to do as Kapatid artist? Cesar said he already pitched a musical game show ala “The Singing Bee” (whch he hosted on ABS-CBN). “Yun po yung isang dream ko na sana’y makagawa ako sa TV5.”
Cesar added he’s also looking forward to doing films with TV5.
“Kasi ang passion ko ay sa paggawa ng pelikula. At napakarami naming idea. At napakaraming istorya ng bansa natin na napakaganda.”
Finally, he wants to work with friends Aga Muhlach, Willie Revillame and Bayani Agbayani again.
“Isang dream ko yan na magkasama-sama kaming muli ni Willie, ni Aga, ni Bayani sa isang project, sa isang sitcom o isang game show,” Cesar said. “Whatever basta magkakasama na kami.”
He further said, “Tagal na yung huli naming pinagsamahan e. And these are my true friends. These people are very, very close to my heart.”
Advice to aspirants
Cesar said one important factor is “to be fixated on what your vision is.”
“Actually, hindi mo dapat isipin yung fame, hindi mo dapat isipin yung stardom, at saka hindi mo rin dapat isipin ang fortune. Dapat yan para ma-achieve mo yan, yang tatlong yan hindi mo dapat isipin. It should be far away from your thinking.” (Fame, fortune, stardom is the tagline of “Artista Academy”).
He explained that aspiring artists should focus on how they can become better actors, singers, and dancers—in short, better performers. How they treat their fellow actors and co-workers is crucial too, he said.
“Pag ginawa mo yun and you got successful, you will hit that three—yung fame, fortune and stardom,” Cesar pointed out.
