“Nakakatuwa kasi this is my first show back after my vacation. Ito talaga yung unang show na tumanggap sa akin. So, after a long time of having a vacation, it's nice to come back to work. I love coming to work and I'm inspired to work harder kase yung mga kasama ko, Piolo Pascual, Jericho Rosales, Rafael Rosel, Christopher de Leon, Maricar, and Cristine Reyes,” Denise said in an interview at the set visit of “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” on June 27.
Denise took a break from showbiz to give birth to her son.
And now that she’s back with a new project, Denise admits she is concerned about how she can balance family and work.
“Everyone always has that fear. Syempre, as a new working mom, kaya ko bang panindigan ang pagiging working mom? Kaya ko bang bigyan ng 110% ang show na ito and show people how much I love it. This is what I really love to do. So, andoon ang kaba factor. Especially the fact yung mga artista na kasama mo. Of course, you don't want to be the person na mag-sag ang story dahil sa iyo. Kailangan galingan mo,” she said.
Change for the better
Denise shared that motherhood changed her. It makes her feel that everything feels just right.
“Super saya. I always tell you guys na I feel that my life is complete. Kung dati sobrang bibo ko, sobrang happy ko, now I feel like just right ang lahat. Mas appreciative pa ako sa mga bagay-bagay,” she gushed.
She now spends more time on her son and her work.
“Ngayon, marunong na akong matulog. When he naps, I nap. I respect people more, their time. Everything is magnified, so perfect lang. When I don't have work, I'm just home with my son. If I'm not at home, then I'm at work. Iyan yung dalawa kong love, pamilya at pamilya ko sa trabaho,” Denise said.
Is she open to a having a new commitment?
“Parang no kasi I feel na everything is so sakto. I'm so inspired. Parang feeling ko ano pang love ang magkakasya sa puso ko kase sobrang nag-eexplode na ang puso ko with love and inspiration. I have everything I could ever want,” she replied.
She has suitors, but Denise does not pay too much attention to them.
“I don't wanna lie pero I don't wanna talk about it rin kasi I'm really not paying attention to it. Of course, it's hard for me because I don't know how to say no, how to turn people down gently. So, I just say na I'm a mom now. That's my focus, alam na nila iyon,” she reveals.
Bittersweet
Meanwhile, Denise has bittersweet feelings about “Dahil sa Pag-Ibig’s” finale on Friday, June 29. Since she and her fellow cast members have become close to each other, Denise says she will miss them and the good times they had.
Still, she’s excited for co-actors with new projects waiting for them.
Denise herself has a new project, the TV drama “Pintada.”
“I'm excited for everyone because everybody has something new coming projects. Sad kasi kung kailan lahat kami ay super close, everything's so fun, ngayon andito na ang pagtatapos. Family talaga kami. These people are so good in what they do. You know that they are superstars the moment you meet them. So, it also pushes you to do further.”
