“This is my reply... yes the article seems incoherent. but the truth is... we were informed only on that fatefull day b4 jan 11 that the band was disolved. He had two bodyguards with hand guns.... informing us that the band was no more. how can anyone disagree with 9mm guns pointed at you. hahahaha. well... good move on his part. we dont need this FAGGOT... who left me twice. Prepare my friend....”
The said message has already been deleted from the band's Facebook page.
As to what article it was, the band did not elaborate. Although Facebook user Arnel Bonifacio pointed out a link to a PEP.ph article on Nathan Azarcon that came out a day before the message was posted.
In the said article, the ever-vocal Azarcon elaborated on the dissolution of the band Bamboo. “Yung pinagtiyagaan namin ng halos sampung taon was snatched from us,” said Azarcon in the article. He further indicated that the breakup was not amicable.
In an old interview with Y! Rocks, the Hijo singer/bassist admitted that “the last three, four years with Bamboo (Mañalac), we weren't talking anymore.”
“He wasn't attending rehearsals, and that was a major factor in the break-up of [the previous band]. He wanted us to record everything and just send stuff to him when he should have been there with us.”
Azarcon did not want to comment further on the said Facebook post, in a message to the writer.
In the meantime, Bamboo's camp has also refused to comment as Bamboo had already said his piece of the matters months ago, and considers it an old issue.
