Hindi lang tawanan at kulitan ang hatid ng "Goin' Bulilit" kids ngayong Linggo (January 27) dahil maliban sa kanilang nakakakiliting gags tungkol sa paggawa ng sapatos, aalamin din nila kung ano ang basics ng paggawa nito.

Maliban sa pag-aala shoe-maker, ihahatid rin nila ang napapanahong "Akalain Mo Nga Naman" kung saan gagayahin nila ang matitinding eksena sa primetime drama na "Ina Kapatid Anak" at kakantahin ang theme song ng "Two Wives" na "Ngayong Alam Ko Na" para sa kanilang madramang musical.

Vice Ganda Apologizes to Maja Salvador for 'Majarot' Joke

Comedian Vice Ganda also apologized to actress Maja Salvador over a joke on the noontime show “It’s Showtime” last week.

Vice Ganda also defended co-host Anne Curtis, saying the actress was not conscious about the controversy surrounding Salvador for allegedly dating actor Gerald Anderson, the ex-boyfriend of her best friend and "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" co-star Kim Chiu.

On the January 23 episode of "It's Showtime", Curtis and the rest of the hosts were making fun of Vice Ganda for flirting with a member of the audience.

Vhong Navarro told the comedian: "Allan, Allandi mo."

Curtis then added: "Uy, hindi. Siya yata si Maja...Majarot ka!" with the word a play on the Tagalog term for wild.

After Curtis's joke, the term "majarot" became widely used on social media sites such as Twitter, with some netizens using it to make fun of Salvador.

Curtis apologized to Salvador on the Thursday episode of “It’s Showtime.”

In an interview with “The Buzz” that aired on Sunday, Vice Ganda also apologized for the joke.

“Hindi naman aware si Anne na may malaking issue kay Maja at hindi naman ginawa ‘yun ni Anne para gawing katatawanan si Maja. In fact, nang nalaman niya na may na-off doon sa joke, na kahit alam naman naming na di direkta kay Maja, nag-apologize na rin siya,” he said.

“Alam rin naman namin na ‘yung mga fans ni Maja, mahal na mahal siya pero mayroon din naman kasing ilan na OA ‘yung reaksyon na naawa din naman ako kay Anne kasi nabasa ko 'yung mga tweets kay Anne. Pinersonal din naman masyado si Anne na hindi naman pinersonal ni Anne si Maja.

“Gayunpaman nag-apologize si Anne at ako rin naman, kung mayroon na-offend, naga-apologize po kami. Gusto lang naming magpatawa. Kung meron man kaming ginawang pagpapatawa na hindi pasok sa taste ninyo, eh paumanhin po,” he said.

Vice Ganda explained that the sketch was a spoof of “Ina Kapatid Anak,” which is normally done in the noontime show.

“Siguro kaya nag-react din sila kasi may issue. Kung wala namang issue, hindi naman siguro sila magre-react na si Maja ‘yung tinutukoy kasi wala namang sinabi na Maja Salvador. Maja lang ‘yung term. At saka bago pa nagkaroon ng issue, biruan na ‘yung term na yon eh. Hindi naman si Maja ang tinutukoy sa biro na yon,” he said.

Vice Ganda also revealed that Curtis personally texted Salvador about the incident. Salvador, however, hasn’t replied to Curtis’s text message, according to the comedian.

“Pero feeling ko hindi naman sila magkaaway. Feeling ko hindi naman papatol si Maja,” Vice Ganda said.

The comedian said he is also confident that the incident will not damage his own relationship with Salvador, who is a favorite guest on his show “Gandang Gabi Vice.”

“Okay naman kami ni Maja. Love ko ‘yan si Maja,” he said.

ABS-CBN, DZMM Reap Gandingan Awards

ABS-CBN took home several awards at the 2013 Gandingan Awards (7th UPLB Isko't Iska's Broadcast Choice Awards) held on Friday.

ABS-CBN programs and hosts, including those of its radio station DZMM and Studio 23, garnered numerous awards during the ceremonies held on January 26 at the D.L. Umali Auditorium at the University of the Philippines Los Banos.

The network was named the Best Development-Oriented Television Station, and was also given the Gandingan ng Pinilakang Tabing award.

ABS-CBN’s “Umagang Kay Ganda” and its hosts were named Best Morning Show and Best Morning Show Hosts.

“Rated K,” meanwhile, was named Best Magazine Program. Its host Korina Sanchez was also awarded Best Magazine Program Host.

Ted Failon of “Failon Ngayon” was honored as the Best Investigative Program Host, and Best AM Announcer.

Boy Abunda and his show “The Bottomline with Boy Abunda” were named Best Development-Oriented Talk Show Host and Talk Show.

“Matanglawin” was named Best Educational Program, and Kim “Kuya Kim” Atienza was honored the Gandingan ng Edukasyon and Gandingan ng Kalikasan.

Studio 23 also had its share of awards, with “Us Girls” and its hosts being named the Best Women-Oriented Program and given the Gandingan ng Kababaihan award, respectively.

DZMM was named Best AM Station, and its show Radyo Negosyo the Best AM Program. Host Carl Balita was honored with the Gandingan ng Kabuhayan.

ABS-CBN’s FM station Tambayan 101.9 also garnered awards. “Anong Meron?” was named Best FM Program, while DJ ChaCha was named Best Disc Jock.

The Gandingan Awards are given annually by the UP Community Broadcaster’s Society, a media-based socio-civic organization in UPLB. It is the first award-giving body in the field of broadcasting in the UP system, and challenges broadcast practitioners to enhance their programs to contribute to the country’s development.

'Be Careful With My Heart' Nationwide Rating Soars

The "kilig-serye" starring Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap continues to dominate daytime ratings, as it inches closer to the No. 1 spot in the list of the most-watched weekday programs in the country.

"Be Careful With My Heart" posted its all-time highest rating last Friday, January 18, when it garnered a national TV rating of 30.3%, according to the latest data of the multinational market research group Kantar Media.

This is the first time the series breached the 30% mark in nationwide ratings.

The highest rating primetime series, "Ina, Kapatid, Anak", registered a mere three-point lead over "Be Careful With My Heart," which airs 11:45 a.m. on weekdays.

The primetime block -- 6 p.m. to midnight -- is seen as the most important part of the day in terms of TV viewership. It is during this time when most Filipinos watch television and advertisers put in a larger part of their investment to reach more consumers.

Both Kapamilya programs also won big last Friday over their competing shows aired on GMA-7.

"Eat Bulaga," which airs during the timeslot of "Be Careful With My Heart," only garnered a nationwide rating of 13.9%. The rival program of "Ina, Kapatid, Anak," meanwhile, only registered 15% compared to the ABS-CBN series' 33.3%.

Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes, more than AGB Nielsen’s 1,980 homes that are only based in urban areas. Kantar Media’s panel represents 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while AGB Nielsen reportedly represents only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.

Star Magic Backs Gerald Anderson's 'Professionalism'

ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic said actor Gerald Anderson did not do anything that provoked or instigated Maricel Soriano’s removal from their upcoming television series “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.”

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Star Magic said it “has the utmost confidence not only in Gerald Anderson's exceptional ability as an actor, but also in his unassailable personal character and professional behavior.”

On Monday, ABS-CBN Head of Corporate Communications Bong Osorio announced that Soriano will no longer be part of the upcoming ABS-CBN series.

“Due to the unfortunate incident between Gerald Anderson and Maricel Soriano that transpired on the first taping day of ‘Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin,’ the ABS-CBN management and the management of Maricel Soriano have agreed that Maricel will no longer be part of the cast,” he said.

Despite this, Osorio stressed that the series, which also features Cristine Reyes, Rayver Cruz and Diana Zubiri, will still proceed as scheduled.

Prior to Monday's statement, it was rumored that Soriano blew her top when she and Anderson were doing a scene together last week.

According to a report published on the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Anderson was reportedly having a hard time with his lines and this allegedly irritated Soriano, causing her to shout at the actor before walking out of the set.

However, another source told the website that footage would prove that there was nothing wrong with Anderson's acting, considering that they were taping a "light" scene.

Anderson allegedly tried to talk to Soriano but he was not able to appease the veteran actress.

According to PEP, Anderson was seen crying after the incident.

Aside from Anderson and Soriano, the upcoming series on the Kapamilya network will also feature Cristine Reyes, Rayver Cruz and Diana Zubiri.

PEP quoted a source saying actress Dawn Zulueta is being considered to replace Soriano in the series.

Rapper Abra to Do Track for "Juan dela Cruz"

It seems that after Gloc-9, rising hip hop/rap star Abra is next in line favored by many music lovers to raise the flag of their ilk. He is currently writing a song to be performed with famed comedian Vice Ganda after they hit it off on the latter’s show a few weeks back. He also has a track in the “Juan dela Cruz” Original Soundtrack. Indeed, how lucky can one get?

But, of course, Abra paid his dues. Before getting the breaks, he carved a name in the underground scene, figuring in many Fliptop battles (impromptu lyrical exchanges between rappers). He eventually got people giving him a second look upon the release of the video for his song “Gayuma,” which has racked up no less than 14 million views and counting.

In an interview with Bulletin Entertainment, Abra said that he, Vice Ganda and Star Records execs met last week to continue talks about their song. He also took the opportunity to explain that his song for the “Juan dela Cruz” OST titled “Alab Ng Puso” is commissioned work.

“The message of the song is not just for the teleserye. Applicable ito sa akin at sa lahat ng kabataan. It’s about becoming a superhero out of the kindest of your heart, na pag galing sa puso ang ginagawa mo, may kakaiba kang pwedeng magawa,” he said.

Abra said that as artist, he is all for “clever lyrics” knowing fully well that many young people look up to celebrities like himself.

“Imbes na bigyan lang natin sila ng magandang music, may learning din silang mapupulot sa mga kanta ko.”

Before people label Abra as another “jologs” rapper, know that he actually finished school at the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P). His father graduated from the University of the Philippines and took up higher education at Stanford University. No wonder the rapper’s lyrics are deemed by many as intelligent.

"Ina Kapatid Anak" Hits All Time High Ratings

ABS-CBN’s top caliber family drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” successfully opened its book 2 on Monday (January 14) after its much-awaited grand reveal episode tagged as ‘Gabi ng Katotohanan’ hit the show’s all-time high national TV ratings and conquered the top-trending topics on Twitter Philippines and worldwide.

Based on the data from Kantar Media, the beginning of book 2 that exposed the truth about the real identity of Kim Chiu’s character Celyn garnered a national TV rating of 36.3%, or almost 14 points higher than the pilot episode of its newest rival program in GMA “Indio,” which only got 22.7%. Also, the ratings earned by “Ina Kapatid Anak” was almost double of another GMA primetime teleserye “Temptation of Wife” that only obtained 19% national TV ratings.

Aside from ruling the ratings game as the no.1 primetime TV series nationwide, “Ina Kapatid Anak” also dominated the popular microblogging site Twitter with the episode’s non-stop revelations and confrontations, especially among the characters of its lead stars Kim, Maja Salvador, Janice de Belen, Ariel Rivera and Cherry Pie Picache. With the netizens’ overflowing emotions, the title of the teleserye became a national trending topic, while ‘Cherry Pie’ made it on the top trending topics worldwide, with the seasoned actress’ outstanding dramatic performance as Teresa, the mother of Celyn.

IKA-50 TAONG ANIBERSARYO NG REGAL FILMS IPAGDIRIWANG NG STARSTUDIO

Isang 'regal' na selebrasyon ang bubukas sa 2013 ng StarStudio sa pagbibigay-pugay nito kay Mother Lily Monteverde at sa Regal Films sa pagsapit ng ika-50 taong anibersaryo nito.

Umaapaw ang StarStudio January isyu sa mga litrato at istorya ng Regal Empire kung saan magbabalik-tanaw ang Regal Babies ng 80's hanggang sa kasalukuyan na sina Richard Gomez, Snooky Serna, Maricel Soriano, Dina Bonnevie, Paulo Avelino, Marian Rivera, Carla Abellana, Dennis Trillo, Solenn Heussaff, Lovi Poe at Richard Gutierrez. MGA PELIKULA NI PIOLO PASCUAL NA NAGPAKILIG AT NAGPA-IBIG, TAMPOK SA CINEMA ONE

May aabangan na ang Piolo fanatics tuwing Linggo dahil itatampok ng Cinema One ang kanyang mga romantic films sa Romance Central Block ngayong Enero. Abangan ang "9 Mornings", "Paano Kita Iibigin", "Milan", at "Till There Was You".

Ang 2002 film ni Jose Javier Reyes na "9 Mornings" ay isang romantic comedy na pinagbibidahan nina Piolo at Donita Rose. Tungkol ito sa buhay ni Gene, isang obsessive-compulsive na event organizer na ang tanging layunin sa buhay ay kumita ng maraming pera matapos makaharap ang isang trahedya na nagtulak sa kanyang kalimutan nang may Diyos. Hanggang sa iwanan siya ng pamana ng kanyang namatay na lola ngunit makukuha niya lamang ito kung tatapusin niya ang siyam na simbang gabi, isang tradisyong hindi niya pinaniniwalaan. Ipapalabas ito sa January 6, 6:00 p.m.

Ang "Paano Kita Iibigin" ni Joyce Bernal noong 2007 ay pinagbibidahan ni Piolo at ni Regine Velasquez. Umiikot ito sa buhay nina Martee (Regine), isang minalas sa trabahong single mother at Lance (Piolo), isang mayamang may-ari ng resort. Nagkita ang dalawa nang tumungo si Martee kasama ang anak sa resort ni Lance upang doon panandaliang magbakasyon ngunit mamalasin siya muli nang masira ng anak niya ang mamahaling motorsiklo ni Lance. Dahil sa kawalan ng pambayad, pagtatrabahuhan ito ni martee.  Tampok din sina Eugene Domingo, Erich Gonzales, at Iya Villania sa "Paano Kita Iibigin" na ipapalabas sa January 13, 6:00 p.m.

Mula sa direksyon ni Olivia Lamasan ang 2004 blockbuster hit na "Milan" na kinatatampukan nina Piolo at Claudine Barretto at kinunan sa iba't-ibang siyudad ng Italy. Tungkol ito sa dalawang Pilipinong manggagawa sa ibang bansa na nakahanap ng pag-ibig at kasiyahan sa isa't isa. Dahil sa pagganap nina Piolo at Claudine bilang sina Lino at Jenny, naiuwi nila ang Best Actor at Best Actress awards mula sa FAMAS at naging nominado ang pelikula sa Best Picture. Ayon sa isang review na isinulat sa Showbizpinoy.com, "Mahusay ang pag-arte ni Piolo dahil ramdam ng mga manonood ang lungkot, desperasyon at pangungulila niya bilang manggagawa sa ibang bansa." Tampok din sa pelikula sina Iza Calzado, Ryan Eigenmann, and Lotlot de Leon at ipapalabas ito sa January 20, 6:00 p.m.

Muling nagsama sina Piolo at Judy Ann Santos sa kanilang pangatlong blockbuster hit na "Till There Was You" mula sa direksyon ni Joyce Bernal. Hindi akalain nina Joanna (Judy Ann) at Albert (Piolo) na ang isang maikling tagpo nila sa bus ang babago sa kanilang buhay. Dahil sa librong may litrato na naiwan ni Joanna sa bus na itinago ni Albert ng ilang taon, inakala ni Pippa, anak ni Albert na ang babae sa litrato ang kanyang nawawalang ina. Ipapalabas ang "Till There Was You" sa January 27, 6:00 p.m.

Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid excited na sa kanilang concert

Parehong excited ang mag-asawang Regine Velasquez at Ogie Alcasid sa kanilang nalalapit na concert na pinamagatang Silver na magaganap sa Mall of Asia Arena ngayong November 16. Ayon sa mister ng Asia’s Songbird na si Ogie, hindi umano niya nakikitaan ng stress ang asawang si Regine sa naturang concert. Sa dinami-raming concert na ginawa ng asawa ay ito na umano ang natatanging concert na nahalata niyang relaxed na relaxed ang asawa. Naniniwala si Ogie Alcasid na maaaring ang pagiging ina ni Regine Velasquez ang naging dahilan kung bakit mas naging confident na ito sa kaniyang sarili.

Naniniwala naman si Regine na hindi niya kinakailangang ma-stress sa kanilang concert ni Ogie dahil maaaring ito umano ang maging dahilan kung bakit mawalan pa siya ng boses. Pakiramdam naman daw ng singer na matutuwa ang anak nila ni Ogie Alcasid dito dahil nakikinig daw talaga ang bata sa tuwing kumakanta ang kaniyang mommy. Natutuwa naman si Regine dahil alam niyang nakakaramdam na ng appreciation sa musika ang kanilang anak ni Ogie.

Aminado naman si Regine Velasquez na mas abala siyan gayon kesa sa kaniyang asawa na si Ogie Alcasid. Bukod kasi sa concert ay may regular taping pa ang Songbid sa Sarap Diva at sa showbiz program na H.O.T. TV. Pareho namang lumalabas ang mag-asawa sa variety show na Party Pilipinas. Sa tuwing walang trabaho si Ogie ay ito umano ang nagbabantay sa kanilang anak ni Regine sa kanilang tahanan. Masaya naman ang singer dahil nakikita niya na kung paano lumaki ang anak at nasasaksihan na ang pagbabago nito.

Ramdam naman daw ni Ogie Alcasid na gusto pa ni Regine Velasquez ng pangalawang anak ngunit pakiramdam nila ay mahihirapan na ito dahil na rin sa kaniyang edad. Kung pagpapalain naman daw sila ay hindi nila ito tatanggihan bilang mga magualng. Batang-bata pa naman daw ang  uterus ni Regine ayon sa kaniyang doktor kung kaya hindi imposible na pwede pang masundan ang kanilang Baby Nate ni Ogie. Nagpasalamat naman ang singer-actress na bagamat hindi normal ang panganganak niya ay naka-recover agad siya dahil wala alaga naman daw niya ang kaniyang katawan. Kung hindi naman daw ito mangyari ay magiging masaya pa rin ang mag-asawa.

Matapos ang concert ng mag-asawa ay didiretso ang mga ito sa kanilang bakasyon. Plano umano nila na pumuntang Amanpulo at magiging bahagi na rin umano ito ng silver anniversary ng Asia’s Songbird sa showbiz. Hindi naman daw alam nina Ogie Alcasid at Regine Velasquez kung doon na nila masusundan ang kanilang Baby Nate. Kung sakaling matuloy naman daw ang pangalawang pagbubuntis ni Regine ay umaasa si Ogie na hindi magiging mahirap para sa asawa ang pagbubuntis nito.

Bea Alonzo, Zanjoe Marudo may bagong pelikula

Isang pelikula ang pagbibidahan ng magkasintahang Bea Alonzo at Zanjoe Marudo bilang bahagi ng pelikulang 24/7 In Love na inihahandog ng Star Cinema. Bading ang magiging role ni Zanjoe sa naturang pelikula at totoong nailang umano siya sa karakter na kaniyang ginampanan. Hindi umano siya nakapaghanda agad dahil biglaaan ang shooting ng pelikula nila ni Bea. Kinabahan naman daw ang dalaga nang unang malaman ang magiging proyekto nila ng kaniyang nobyo. Aminado si Bea Alonzo na natakot siyang makaramdam ng kaba sa pakikipagtrabaho kay Zanjoe Marudo.

Hindi naman daw nailang si Bea sa naging karakter ni Zanjoe bilang isang bading sa kanilang pelikula. Naging masaya naman daw si Bea Alonzo sa proyekto nila ni Zanjoe Marudo dahil nabigyan sila ng pagkakataon na magkita ng kaniyang boyfriend ng halos araw-araw. Nakapag-bonding naman daw ang magkasintahan sa halos limang araw nilang pagtatrabaho. Masarap umano ang pakiramdam ni Bea na makatrabaho si Zanjoe lalo na at wala naman daw silang isyu sa isa’t-isa.

Marami rin umanong natuklasan si Bea Alonzo sa pakikipagtrabaho sa kaniyang boyfriend. Nagulat daw ang dalaga na pawisin umano si Zanjoe Marudo sa tuwing magkakaroon ito ng eksena dahil hindi umano ito basta-basta na nakakapag-relax. Dahil dito ay kinakabahan din umano si Bea dahil alam niyang kina-career ni Zanjoe ang trabaho at role nito sa pelikula. Hindi naman daw naging kumpetisyon para sa magkasintahan ang kanilang pag-arte dahil gusto lamang umano nilang itong pagandahin para sa mga manonood.

Napabilib naman si Zanjoe Marudo kay Bea Alonzo dahil lumalabas umano ang pagiging propesyonal nito sa industriya. Tila alam na alam na umano ng aktres ang gagawin nito sa bawat eksena. Sa tuwing kakailanganin na raw ng emosyon ay agad na nakukuha ito ni Bea kumpara sa baguhang katulad ni Zanjoe. Maging si Bea Alonzo naman ay napabilib din kay Zanjoe Marudo dahil na rin sa isang challenging nitong role bilang bading. Hindi itinatanggi ng dalawa na masayang-masaya nga sila sa kanilang kasalukuyang relasyon at umaasa sila na sila na nga hanggang sa huli.
