Anne, Eugene, Ate Vi lead OMG! Awards

Although she was gone for a month to shoot her Hollywood movie “Blood Ransom,” there’s no denying Anne Curtis’s effect as one of the country’s most in-demand all-around performer.

Four days before voting ends on June 28, Anne leads all nominees as Celebrity of the Year with 59% of votes in the second annual OMG! Awards.

It’s also no surprise that Eugene Domingo is on top of the competition as Comedienne of the Year. Fresh off her win as People’s Choice for Favorite Actress at the 6th Asian Film Awards last March, Eugene starred in 10 movies last year, including blockbusters like “Enteng ng Ina Mo” and critical hits like “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank,” where she played the title role.

Eugene, who now stars in “Kimmy Dora & The Temple of Kiyeme,” has received 62% of all votes.

While Eugene’s domination was expected, Vilma Santos’s lead comes as a surprise.

Nominated in the Major Impact category as the celebrity who made the biggest mark in the industry, Ate Vi is besting the likes of fellow newsmakers Dolphy, Nora Aunor, Sharon Cuneta and Bong Revilla. She has taken 57% of the votes.

Will they hold on to their lead until voting ends on Thursday, June 28? Or will other favorites emerge?

The winners will be revealed at the second annual OMG! Awards night at the Mall of Asia Arena on July 6, Friday, with Richard Gutierrez, Georgina Wilson, Solenn Heussaff and Isabelle Daza as hosts.
