'MY BELOVED' Beats 'Budoy' and 'Walang Hanggan', Based on Nielsen Data in Mega Manila

The original series remains ahead of competition in viewer rich Mega Manila, which comprises 58 percent of total television households nationwide, according to the more widely recognized ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Based on household data in Mega Manila, the program registered 42.7 share points versus ABS-CBN's Budoy's 27.4 points and Walang Hanggan's 32 points during its pilot airing last February 13. It continued its dominance in TV ratings after its successive victory on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
In Mega Manila, the Kapuso primetime drama scored 40.9 share points, way ahead of Budoy's 27.9 points and Walang Hanggan's 33.5 points on Tuesday (February 14). On Wednesday and Thursday, it earned 39.1 points beating ABS-CBN's Budoy with 26.8 points and Walang Hanggan with 36.4 points on February 15; while on February 16, it posted a household audience share of 40.4 points higher than Kapamilya programs Budoy with 28.7 points and Walang Hanggan with 34.9 points.
Anticipation is high for the reunion project of the real-life sweethearts in the Kapuso Network as they deliver offbeat character portrayals in the weeknight series. Dingdong plays the role of Arlan/Benjie, an angel of death or "sundo" who is punished to become human after falling in love with the beautiful mortal Sharina played by Marian.

More heart-stopping scenes and twists will unfold as the plot thickens with Arlan defying his task as asundo to save Sharina from her impending death. His actions anger the higher beings in his realm and confer Arlan the biggest punishment of all: they strip Arlan of his powers and duties as a sundo and he sends him to earth to become a mortal. Arlan's soul transfers to Benjie's body, who is a playboy and a member of small-time syndicate.

Trapped inside Benjie's body, Arlan must now learn how to live like humans and act like one of them. How will Benjie cope with his struggles in the mortal world and react when he comes face to face with Sharina? Will Sharina discover that the mystery man in the painting and Benjie are one and the same person?
Meanwhile, Kapuso viewers will get another chance to watch in full swing the pilot week of the undying love story of Arlan and Sharina with a TV special titled MY BELOVED: ANG SIMULA NG WALANG KAMATAYANG PAG-IBIG. This will air on Sunday, February 19 right before Party Pilipinas.
My Beloved airs Monday to Friday after Biritera on GMA Telebabad.

Kyle Imao is Pinoy Junior MasterChef Winner

Kyle Imao is Pinoy Junior MasterChef Winner

Twelve-year old Kyle Imao of Marikina was named the country’s first Junior MasterChef after leading the “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition” finale’s two-part cooking challenge last night (February 18) with his oyster ravioli and Asian fusion shrimp and scallops, which had the judges raving.

Kyle proved his culinary supremacy over fellow kiddie cooks Philip, Mika, and Jobim with an overall score of 91.8 points in the “Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition Finale: The Live Cook-off” at the Treston International College and took home the P1 million cash prize and P1.5 million worth of culinary scholarship.

Trailing by only 0.7 points was the Cebu native and second placer Philip (91.1 pts) who won P500,000 and P1.5 million worth of culinary scholarship. Mika (84 pts) and Jobim (73.4 pts) got third and fourth places, respectively, and were both awarded with P250,000 and P500,000 worth of culinary scholarship.

Kyle burst to an early lead in the first challenge, which asked the Final Four kiddie cooks to prepare wow-worthy dishes under a P300 budget. Kyle’s astounding oyster ravioli obtained the highest average score from host Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, Chef Ferns, Chef Lau, and Chef Jayps, as well as the 100 special guests who sampled the Final Four’s creations live during the finale.

Due to the high scores he got from Judy Ann and the three judges, Kyle managed to take the lead even if Mika’s chicken three-way dish captivated more people from the crowd composed of students, MMDA personnel, doctors, athletes, nurses, teachers, firemen, government employees, and businessmen.

The second challenge let loose Kyle, Philip, Mika, and Jobim in preparing their dream dishes, which required no cooking method or ingredient, in a nail-biting 30 minutes. Philip ruled this round but fell short in his final score to beat Kyle.

Aside from Judy Ann and the three resident judges, Via Mare restaurant owner and celebrated cook Glenda Rosales Barretto also critiqued the dream dishes and ultimately gave Kyle’s Asian fusion shrimp and scallops a perfect score of ten.

The seafood creation greatly enthralled Chef Lau, who said, “I told you before that in seven years, I want you to work for me. I’m sorry but I’m going to take that back; in seven years, I might work for you!

The kiddie cooks’ live and final culinary battle, with the hashtag ‘#JuniorMasterFINALE,’ also became the most talked local topic on Twitter and the fourth trending topic worldwide. Filipino netizens even showed their support for their favorite kiddie cooks, flooding the micro-blogging site with terms ‘Congrats Kyle,’ ‘Go Jobim,’ and ‘Go Philip.’

Meanwhile, watch out for ABS-CBN’s local version of “MasterChef” that will showcase adult amateur and home cooks from all over the country.

Kyle, Kauna-unahang Pinoy Junior MasterChef
