It criticizes the corruption in the Philippine society, from overpriced items to arms smuggling, covering a wide variety of topics that sometimes include Filipino traditions and beliefs. It is a public service show that aims to inform the people of the current problems troubling the Philippines. Mike Enriquez hosts the show since he became the anchor of "Saksi" in 1995, and "GMA Network News" in 1998.

Concerns About Kris Aquino: Does She Really Have A New Lover In Her Life? What Is The International Project That She Is Banking On?

NOW, ABOUT Kris Aquino, whoever is cooking up all the current news about her should be commended for she really needs it at this point when her career has waned and dipped at an all time low. She's been without a show for more than half a year now, after she wrongly thought that she's still very marketable and made the mistake of choosing not to renew her contract with ABS-CBN.

The stories about her reported new love affair with Renan Morales, the son of the producer, Mrs. Rhodora Morales, of her comeback TV special "Trip ni Kris" shown on GMA-7 on Palm Sunday, has made people talk about her again. Although Mr. Morales, who has been linked with other starlets before, has already denied it and declared that he is not wooing Kris. So please, stop all talks about Kris having a new lover in her life.

About her so called "international project", this came from Kris herself when she posted in her social media account. "I was so nervous waiting for the confirmation for the international project I auditioned for but I'm not allowed to talk about- so medjo naging quiet muna on this feed."



As she herself acknowledges in another post, things aren't doing well for her carer lately. "There were so many doors that closed, and a lot of things really didn't go my way in my career. Tonight, I received unbelievably inspi­ring, encou­raging, faith affirming GOOD NEWS. And I know it happened because those closest to me supported me, helped me, guided me, and prayed with & for me."

Well, here's hoping this international project will do materialize for Kris and open new doors for her to revive her sagging career locally.

Showbiz Issues That Are Seemingly Of National Importance: Who Will Be The Best Choice To Play The New Darna?

THESE DAYS, judging from what we read in showbiz columns, it appears that three showbiz issues are of national concern and importance. First is the matter of who will be playing the much coveted role of Darna. Second is whether the Sharon Cuneta-Gabby Concepcion reunion movie will still push through.

Third is about Kris Aquino's alleged new love affair with a non-showbiz guy and her reported coming appearance in an international show. It appears that showbiz will not be as fulfilling and complete without endless speculations on these issues.

About Darna, we honestly believe a new movie about this local flying heroine will no longer that be enticing to most of today's millennial viewers who have been reared on super spectacular Superhero movies from DC and Marvel comics. So unless, those who'll make the new Darna can make it as visually stunning and mind-boggling in terms of its CGI special effects as their Hollywood counterparts, a new version of Darna will not be as appealing anymore to today's audiences.

The issue about who'll be playing the new Darna is also of utmost significance. We all know that when a new Dyesebel version (another much revived creation of the late Mars Ravelo) was made starring Anne Curtis, the results in the ratings game was not that satisfactory, so it didn't truly prosper and was quite short-lived on the air.

To begin with, most of those who played Darna before were in their late teens or early 20s when they made it, unlike Anne who was already in her late 20s when she did it. We believe this is the reason why ABS-CBN didn't give the role of Darna to Angel Locsin anymore, as she's already in her early 30s.

There were many female stars nominated to play the role, but like what we've written before, Liza Soberano seems to be the best and likeliest choice as the others don't even come close to her in terms of her beauty and appeal. And at 19, she's just at the right age to play the iconic superhero role.
