A little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers, Matilda is unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her school teacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Over the course of her first term at school, Matilda and Miss Honey have a profound effect on each other's lives, as Miss Honey begins to not only recognize but also appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality.
Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing however - the school's mean headmistress Miss Trunchbull hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!
Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group is now proud to announce OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for Boys and Girls ages 7 - 12 for all kids roles including Matilda, Bruce, Lavender and the rest of her singing, dancing, high-energy young classmates, to be held on March 18, 2017 at the G-Force Dance Centre, Penthouse IL Terazzo, 35 Tomas Morato Avenue corner Scout Madriñan Street, Quezon City.
Registration is from 10 am - 4 pm while auditions are from 11am - 5pm. Please come prepared to sing one musical theatre song. Bring with you a 3R headshot photo, a copy of your birth certificate, a CV, a guardian's waiver/consent, and be prepared to fill out a registration form upon arrival.
"Matilda" will premiere in Manila in November with rehearsals beginning mid-September. It is made possible through a special licensing agreement with Music Theatre International.
