Joanlia Lising Miss Philippines USA 2013 Q&A Blooper Video
Joanlia Lising, a Fil-American licensed practical nurse graduate from Hayward California, is fast becoming famous online.
Sad to say, her “cringe-worthy” moment during the Q&A portion of the recently concluded Miss Philippines USA 2013 beauty pageant held on August 18 at La Mirada California where she was one of the official candidates, is what brought her to fame.
In her Q&A video posted on YouTube, Lising was asked by Fil-American host na si Cher Calvin this question: Among the five senses, what do you prefer to have if you could only have one? And why?
In which she responded with: Thank you for that wonderful question. If I have to pick out of five sense, I would pick seeing. Because seeing is the best sense that we can ever see, because seeing is believing. And believing into what you see is perfect. And, uh, out of all those senses, seeing... would... really... be wonderful, because... Thank you. That will be it.
The said video, which already raked 431,000 as of this writing was also featured in the famous U.S. showbiz magazine show E! Online.
Did she win the crown?
As expected, none of the major titles (Miss Philippines USA 2013, Miss Ambassador and Miss Tourism) was awarded to her. But at least she looks so stunningly confident and beautiful.

GLORIA ROMERO was hesitant to accept the role of Donya Cristina Alperos, the mother of Cesar Montano in “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas” when it was first offered to her. “Kasi I really want to take a rest dahil sunod-sunod yung soaps ko sa GMA from ‘Munting Heredera’, ‘Makapiling Kang Muli’, ‘Cielo de Angelina’ and ‘Forever’,” she says. “But then, they narrated the story to me, nagustuhan ko, maganda rin ang role ko at, higit sa lahat, it’ll reunite me with Laurice Guillen, who was my director in ‘Tanging Yaman’ that gave me several best actress awards. When I learned it’s her, sabi ko na agad, yes, I’ll do it since it’s been 13 years since we did ‘Tanging Yaman’. At ang maganda kay Laurice, hindi puyatan at magdamagan ang taping. Maaga kami natatapos.”
