The hit Broadway and West End musical Shrek is a slightly fractured fairytale that’s big on laughs with a tender heart at it’s core. Audiences will delight in joining Shrek, the unlikely hero, and his wisecracking loyal steed Donkey as they set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful, albeit slightly neurotic, Princess Fiona from her tower guarded by a fire breathing love-sick dragon. Add to the mix Lord Farquaad, a bad guy with a short temper, a gang of fairytale misfits, and a cookie with an attitude and you’ve got a must see musical comedy for the whole family – Shrek the Musical.
The world of fairy tales collides and is turned upside down in an irresistible mix of adventure, laughter and romance. Featuring all new songs, as well as the popular Shrek anthem, "I’m a Believer," Shrek, the Musical brings the well-loved characters to life in a hilarious and spectacular production based on the story and characters from William Steig’s book Shrek! and the Oscar-winning Dreamworks animated film which opened on Broadway in December 2008 and was followed by a revamped production in London’s West End in 2011. 'Shrek The Musical' was initiated when Sam Mendes, a big fan of the first Shrek film, suggested the idea of creating a musical to DreamWorks Animation’s Jeffrey Katzenberg around the time the second film was in production.

UNLIKE OTHER stars who are active in social media, Maricel Soriano does not have a Facebook or Twitter account, so she’s not able to read all the positive feedback that she and her comeback show, “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real”, are getting from netizens.“Pag sinasabi nilang nagte-trending tayo gabi-gabi, hindi ko maintindihan noong una,” she says. “Hindi ko rin knows kung ano yun g hashtag. So they explained it to me at, ngayon, alam ko na. Pinabasa rin nila sa akin ang magagandang comments about my interpretation sa role ng Millet and the show itself at, siempre, tuwang-tuwa naman ako. At least, hindi nasayang ang pagpapagod namin nina Dingdong Dantes at Lovi Poe, with Direk Andoy Ranay, para mapaganda gabi-gabi ang ‘Dalawang Mrs. Real’.”
