Pacquiao loses to Mayweather in megafight #MayPac

Manny Pacquiao lost to Floyd Mayweather via the judges' unanimous decision in a dream boxing match that took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2, 2015 (May 3 in the Philippines).

Judges' scores:

Burt Clements - 116-112
Glenn Feldman - 116-112
Dave Moretti - 118-110

During the fourth round, though, the crowd went wild when Pacquiao caught Mayweather on the ropes and unleashed a storm of punches. It happened again on round six, with the American boxer sitting on the ropes while accepting Pacman's flurry of shots.

Kenny Bayless was the referee.

The Mayweather vs Pacquiao megafight was much-awaited among boxing fans. It took years to happen with negotiations starting in 2009.

It didn't immediately push through due to the demands of Mayweather.

The undefeated American boxer first demanded for random blood tests which became a problem with Pacquiao. What the Pinoy boxer didn't agree to was the drawing of blood right before the fight as it will make him weak.

Pacquiao eventually agreed to Mayweather's demand for blood tests, but the American boxer had other demands after that, including a bigger money share.

It all went down to 40/60 in favor of Mayweather.

Pacquiao gave in to Mayweather's demands because he really wanted the fight to push through, likening the situation to a prisoner in a death row who gets his wishes before the execution.

Meanwhile, Gail Banawis, a 19-year-old Filipino-American singer, performed the Philippine national anthem, "Lupang Hinirang," together with The Word Chorale before the fight. Singer-actor Jamie Foxx sang the American anthem, "Star Spangled Banner."

Canadian singer Justin Bieber was in Mayweather's entourage, while Pacquiao had Jimmy Kimmel.

Other celebrities spotted at the event included Nicki MInaj, power couple Beyonce and Jay Z, Paris Hilton, Adrien Brody, Sting, Jesse Jackson, Drew Barrymore, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Mark Wahlberg, Robert de Niro and Jake Gyllenhaal, among others.

Local celebrities and politicians also watched the fight, including Sam Milby, Gab Valenciano, twins Richard and Raymond Gutierrez, Nancy Binay, Isko Moreno and Chavit Singson.

Movie Review: 'Unfriended' - Horror In Cyber Space

CURRENTLY THE talk of the town among writer friends is “Unfriended”, a horror flick starring unknown stars but with a clever plot premise. A girl, Laura Barns (Heather Sossamon), killed herself after being the victim of cyber bullying. She blew herself up with a gun on a video that later went viral.
On the anniversary of her suicide, many of her friends who are skyping online notice a curious participant joining them. One of them receives a text message from the dead girl and things then get really weird, with each of them dying one by one.

If you’re a member of the Jurassic era who doesn’t use e-mail, Facebook and Skype and is totally ignorant of computer usage, then you might not be able to relate with the movie. But if you’re a techie who knows the internet and cyberspace, you will enjoy it.

Blaire (Shelly Hennig), Val (Courtney Halvorsen), Matt (Matthew Bohrer), Adam (Will Peltz), Mitch (Moses Jacob Storm), Jess (Renee Olstead) and Ken (Jacob Wysocki) are the would be victims of the mystery entity known as Billie227 who slowly reveals the worst secrets of everyone.
