Android Kit Kat Video: From Jelly Bean to Ice Cream Sandwich to Kit Kat

Android Kit Kat Video: From Jelly Bean to Ice Cream Sandwich to Kit Kat

Google has announced that the next version of its popular mobile operating system will be named 'KitKat'.

Continuing its tradition of naming each major release after a popular desert or sweet, analysts said the update (otherwise known as Android 4.4) would continue to push Android forward onto mobile devices, as well as potentially gaming consoles and smart watches.

Needless to say, details on features and what the upgrade will entail are frustratingly slim at present.

In fact the most Google did to mark the chocolate biscuit connection was release the new logo for 4.4 - a KitKat-ified Google Android.

"We couldn't imagine a better name for our Android K release than the tasty chocolate that's been a favourite among the team since the early days of Android," said Marc Vanlerberghe, Director of Android Marketing.

But KitKat itself - whose marketing team have clearly just hit the jackpot with the deal- had other ideas. Among its moves is a limited release of 50 million Android-themed KitKat bars.

"KitKat is one of the world's top ten fast-moving consumer goods brands in social media in terms of fan numbers and engagement," he continued. "We continue to build on its strong digital presence with interactive, creative branding campaigns."

This is their video celebrating the announcement:

Allen Dizon Bares His Body Once Again In Violent Love Scenes With Bangs Garcia In 'Lauriana'

ALLEN DIZON started as a bold actor in 1998 who has no qualms doing nude scenes in such sexy flicks as “Tatlong Makasalanan”, “Pamasak Butas” and “Pila Balde”. When skin flicks waned, his manager, Dennis Evangelista, helped him reinvent his career as a serious actor, starting with “Twilight Dancers” in 2006 where he won his first acting award as best supporting actor for his performance as an ill-fated aging macho dancer.

He then did more serious and relevant films like “Marino” (about seamen), “Patikul” (about coffee planters in Mindanao), “Sigwa” (about the First Quarter Storm), “Dukot” (about political abductions), “Deadline” (about murders of media people), “Pink Halo-Halo” (about the war in Mindanao) and “Migrante” (about OFWs in Israel.) He has since won more acting awards.

Now, he goes back to doing a sexy film in Director Mel Chionglo’s entry in the Sineng Pambansa, “Lauriana”, written by Ricky Lee, which got an A rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board.

“Sexy ito, but with a difference,” he says. “May mahabang nude love scene kami ni Bangs Garcia as Lauriana, very tender, and in contrast marami kaming love scenes na violent kasi abusive ako sa kanya rito. This was offered to me kasabay noong ‘Lihis’, but halos sabay ang shooting so my manager chose this for me. We shot this on location in Tulay Buhangin in Bondoc Peninsula in Quezon. I play a very complex character as Samuel, a PC captain na akala mo ang bait-bait, pero may tinatago palang violent streak. His mother committed infidelity at nakita niya kaya naging obsessive ako rito kay Bangs. Sa sobrang selos, nilagyan ko siya ng chastity belt. Pag galit ako, binubugbog ko siya, tapos, remorseful ako, nagsisisi, hihingi ng tawad, then the cycle is repeated all over again.”

Can he identify with his character? “Not at all. It’s so not at me. I’m not violent by nature. Hindi ako nananakit ng babae. Hindi rin ako nao-obsessed sa kanila. Sila ang nao-obsessed sa akin,” he laughs.

So how is Bangs as “Lauriana”? “She’s great. I was the one who recommended her. Kasi nag-back out yung unang napili, si Nina Jose. Then nag-interview sina Direk ng ibang actresses pero maraming hesitations sa role. That time, Bangs plays my sister in the movie ‘Burgos’. Sabi ko, gusto ba niyang subukan. They gave her the script and she agreed to do it. Magkasama rin kami noon sa ‘Migrante’ kaya comfortable na kami sa isa’t isa. Naging madali yung bedscenes namin. Ang mahirap, yung bugbugan scenes. Nag-usap kami na okay lang kaming magkasakitan. At yun nga ang nangyari. Nagkapasa-pasa siya. At dahil lumalaban siya, ako naman, puro kamot niya. But it’s worth it dahil ayan, naka-A kami and everyone who’ve seen the film, gustong-gusto nila.”

The film starts in the 50s and shows him growing old in the 70s. “The story is told from the point of view of a boy, Carding, played by child star Adrian Cabido. He idolizes me but bad influence ako sa kanya. Tinuturuan ko ng wrong values like manigarilyo, mambabae, then nakita niya kong ginugulpi si Bangs at na-trauma siya. Our final scene shows him as Victor Basa, visiting me na bulag na ako, kalbo na, may skin disease, sobrang guilty sa ginawa ko kay Bangs, sobrang nakarma. Nilagyan ako ng prosthetic makeup that took five hours to apply. Tapos, pinabago ni Direk Mel pati voice ko. I’m really proud of what I’ve done. I think this is my best work so far.”

“Lauriana” will have its premiere tonight at SM Edsa The Block then it opens at SM Cinemas nationwide on September 11. Allen is also in Joel Lamangan’s “Burgos” which has a special whole-day advanced screening at SM on October 18.

Jose Manalo on Wally Bayola and EB Babe Yosh Scandal: "Mas malaki ang ___ ko. Hahaha!"

Sure, every sex scandal has a space in almost everyone’s mind.
Sex videos, though most of the time pose danger to the ones involved, have been part of our lives in the recent past. Katrina Halili. Hayden Kho. Maricar Reyes. Chito Miranda. The list is endless.
They come and soon enough, they are forgotten. And if to be remembered, just as to provide background to most recent news about another scandal.
The Wally Bayola sex video scandal with an EB Babe dancer and not with his wife, that hit the internet Tuesday morning is the latest scandal that capture the Filipino people’s attention.
And yes, as everyone expected of him, Mo Twister didn't quite manage to control his twisted tongue...again. He even quoted Wally's closest comedic tandem Jose as saying "Hahaha Maliban na sa mas nakakatawa ako kesa sa'yo, mas malaki din ang etits ko!"
This #WallyBayola tape was like an episode of MythBusters. It proved that girls can still decide to sleep with short, bald, fat guys.

Lj Reyes Denies Jc De Vera Affair But Won't Confirm Or Deny Anything About Paulo Avelino

LJ REYES looks slim and sexy at the pictorial session for “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko”, where she plays contravida to Kris Bernal, at GMA-7’s Studio 7. You wouldn’t think she’s already a mom to a 3-year old toddler. She played a lead role in her last soap, “Aso ni San Roque”. Didn’t she hesitate to play a villain role again in her new soap?

“Hindi naman problema kasi okay lang ako kahit bida o kontrabida,” she says. “Basta enjoy ako to be working with Kris and Aljur Abrenica once again. Nagkasama na kami noon sa ‘All My Life’ in the same 6 PM slot at enjoy naman kami.”

Is it true she and JC De Vera are now an item? “Naku, nagulat nga ako sa balitang yan. It’s true, lumalabas kami. Masama ba yun? E, dati na kaming friends, noon pa mang he’s still with GMA. Dito naman kasi, makita lang magkasama kayo, kayo na raw agad.”

A female writer tells her it’s hard to believe her. She also used to deny having any relationship with Paulo Avelino, but next thing we knew, she’s always carrying his child. Another story says she hasn’t really broken up with Paulo at all.

She just laughs and won’t say anything. We tell her she can answer with a simple yes or no. “Hindi ako puedeng magsalita, e. Kaya wala akong masasabi. Intindihin nyo na lang na hindi lahat ng bagay, puede naming i-share sa inyo. Basta ang masasabi ko, happy ako ngayon. Pag hindi ako happy, dinaraan ko na lang sa dasal. As parents ni Ethan, okay naman kami ni Paulo. Wala akong mairereklamo. He’s a good father to our son.”

She’s been with GMA for 8 years now, after being runnerup in Starstruck 2. Is she happy with the way her career is going? “Okay naman so far. Hindi naman ako pinababayaan. After ‘Intoy Syokoy’, marami ring offers to do other indie movies na kina-cast ngayon. Kaya lang, hindi kami nagkakaayos so far.”

Kantar National TV Ratings August 2013: Kapamilya Shows Triumph Anew

Kantar National TV Ratings August 2013: Kapamilya Shows Triumph Anew

ABS-CBN, the country’s largest and leading multimedia conglomerate, sustained its nationwide leadership by having the most number of Philippine TV households watching its shows whole day. ABS-CBN enjoyed its biggest lead on primetime (6PM-12MN) with an average audience share of 47%, 15 points higher than GMA’s 32%, based on data from Kantar Media that cover urban and rural homes.
Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while the other ratings data supplier AGB Nielsen reportedly has only 1,980 homes based solely in urban areas that represent only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.
ABS-CBN also ruled primetime in other key territories like Balance Luzon (areas in Luzon outside Mega Manila) with 49% audience share vs GMA’s 33%; in the Visayas where it registered 57%, or more than twice as big as GMA’s 24%; and in Mindanao with 62% or three times GMA’s 21% share. Primetime is the most important timeblock when most Filipinos watch TV and advertisers put a larger chunk of their investment in to reach more consumers efficiently.

ABS-CBN’s primetime supremacy also drove its dominance in terms of total day audience share, hitting an average audience share of 41%, as compared to GMA’s 34%.
Superhero drama “Juan Dela Cruz” led the country’s top 15 most watched programs in August with a national TV rating of 35.9%, followed by multi-awarded drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya” with 33.7%.

Newly premiered “Got to Believe” immediately rose to the third spot of the monthly top 15 with 32.4%, beatings its rival program “Mundo Mo’y Akin” of GMA that only recorded 17.6%.
ABS-CBN’s primetime teleseryes “Muling Buksan ang Puso” (27.9%) and “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” (26.6%) also rated high on the list, trumping GMA’s primetime offerings “Anna Karenina” (19.2%) and “My Husband’s Lover” (14.5%), which both failed to make it to the top 15. Moreover, “Huwag Kang Mawawala” ended its run on a high note by registering a whopping national TV rating of 32.5% on its finale episode last August 23.
“TV Patrol,” meanwhile, landed in fourth place and ruled all newscasts with 29.9%, while “Wansapanataym” finished fifth with 29.7%.
“Be Careful With My Heart” continues to stand as the only morning program to penetrate the list with a national TV rating of 22.2%.
Kantar Media’s report also showed that 13 programs in the top 15 in August were produced by ABS-CBN, including “Rated K” (23.6%), “The Voice of the Philippines” (23.2%), “Annaliza” (22%), “Goin’ Bulilit” (21.8%), and ”Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” (21.3%).
Kantar Media is a leading television (TV) audience measurement provider with capabilities in gathering TV viewing data in both digital and analog platforms. It is a multinational market research group that specializes in audience measurement in more than 80 countries, has 26 TV networks, ad agencies, and pan-regional networks subscribing to its ratings services.

They also include pan-regional networks like CSM Media Inc., Fox International Channels, Star HK, Discovery, AXN, HBO, MTV, Sony Pictures Television International, Celestial Tiger, and A&E Television Network.

Aljur Abrenica Happy On Screen With Kris Bernal & In Real Life With Kylie Padilla

ALJUR ABRENICA is glad to be back on a primetime show with perennial ka-love team Kris Bernal in “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko” that will replace “Binoy Henyo” in the 6 PM slot starting September 23. They’re proud and happy that their soap is the first GMA show to be using HD or High Definition to give brighter and clearer images for TV viewers. Is it true Aljur requested that the title of their show be changed from “Prinsesa ng Masa” to “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko” so that he’ll also be included in the title?

“Ay, hindi totoo yan,” he says. “Okay lang sa’kin yung original title. Kaya lang meron na raw similar sounding title sa ibang istasyon. Sa’kin, kahit anong title okay lang, ang importante yung project mismo, yung maganda ang story.”

He plays Nick Grande. He and Renz Fernandez have the same dad, Emilio Garcia. But Renz’ mom is Carmi Martin while his own mom is Maritoni Fernandez.

“Magiging magkaribal kami ni Renz kay Kris Bernal,” he says. “Si LJ Reyes naman, gusto kong agawin kay Kris. Kasama rin namin dito sina Jan Manual, Marco Alcaraz, Lian Paz, Ping Medina and Vincent Magbanua, under Direk Dondon Santos na nakasama ko na sa ‘Indio’.”

How would he describe his love team with Kris now? “Six years na kaming magkatambal since we won sa Starstruck 5. At this point, nag-mature na ang love team namin. Itong ‘Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko’ will start as a light romance, nagpapatawa, but later on, it will lead to drama.”

Aljur is also busy with his second album, with the remake of “Nanghihinayang” as its first single. This will be released in time for his Music Museum concert in November. His talent as a performer has been honed well in “Sunday All Stars” where he already won thrice as best performer. We heard that the rivalry between them GMA stars have become so heated that he once had an altercation with Mark Herras.

“Sabi kasi niya, ilang beses nang nanalo yang grupo nyo, yung Ligang Like. Sabi ko, tatlo. And he said, o, hanggang diyan na lang kayo. Sinagot ko naman siya ng e, ikaw nga, noong leader ka ng group nyo, wala ka namang ginawa. Pero hindi naman seryoso yung sagutan namin, nagtawanan nga kami later. Yung kompetisyon namin sa ‘Sunday All Stars’, mas maganda kasi it helps train us perform. If you’d notice, wala nang nagkakamali ngayon kasi talagang lahat, nagre-rehearse na. Pero walang personalan sa amin, we’re like brothers and sisters.”

How’s his lovelife? “Okay naman. Happy pa rin kami.”

But we heard his girlfriend Kylie Padilla isn’t happy because she hasn’t had a new show since “Unforgettable”. “Hindi naman siya nagko-complain, wala siyang sama ng loob sa GMA. She believes everything happens for a reason. Maganda nga attitude niya at sobrang understanding siya.”

Cosmo Hunk Sam Concepcion Evolves via New Album "Infinite"

Singer-dancer-actor and Cosmo Hunk Centerfold Sam Concepcion chose to shed his boy-next-door, squeaky clean image via the release of his latest album Infinite, under Universal Records. The album showcases the young singer’s growth, evolution into being one of the finest singers in the land, perhaps the best in his batch.
“You’ll get to know Sam the performer in the album,” says Sam. “This album is ME, NOW. It says many things about who I am at present.”
The album’s single No Limitations, a collaboration between Sam, Billy Crawford, Kris Lawrence and Marcus Davis, exhibits Sam’s desire to be taken as a more serious performer. Its modern, edgy video, featuring Solenn Heussaf, gives one an idea where Sam would want to go as a recording artist.

Luckily, fans of the young singer seem to appreciate the “new” Sam as his first music video off the album is currently number one on the Pinoy Myx Countdown, and is receiving favorable airplay from radio stations. The single also remained on top of the mymusicstore charts for six weeks.
He adds that he is also thankful that he was given the chance to collaborate with the most prolific recording artists in the country – Billy Crawford, Christian Bautista, JayR, among others.
Christian penned the song Love, Love, Love for Sam. Sam and Christian were both discovered STAGES when they worked together 10 years ago in the musical The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Rescue You, previously recorded as a Christian-Sam duet, is now a solo song rendered by Sam.
JayR and Sam performed a duet in the album – I’m The One, where both of them showcased their R&B influences.
Sam also records his version of Mahal Na Mahal Kita, an OPM ditty given a more contemporary feel.
Singapore-based composed Tat Tong contributed There’s No Me (Without You).
Sam gives a welcome surprise in the inclusion of modern-anthemic song Di Ka Nag-iisa, a collaboration with up and coming band Runmanila and rapper Dello.
Infinite also includes bonus tracks Panalangin and Kontrabida – both songs are lifted from Sam’s landmark projects last year (the movie IdoBidooBidoo and the 2012 PhilPop, where Sam’s entry won 2nd place).

Infinite Tracklist:
1.    No Limitations 2.    I'm The One 3.    She Drives Me Crazy 4.    Mahal Na Mahal 5.    Di Ka Nag-iisa 6.    Rescue You 7.    There's No Me (Without You) 8.    Love, Love, Love 9.    Panalangin 10.  Kontrabida

Bangs Garcia Does A Totally Nude Love Scene In 'Lauriana'

BANGS GARCIA won the 2011 Metro filmfest best supporting actress award for her performance as Kris Aquino’s cantankerous best friend in the horror flick, “Segunda Mano”. “It was unexpected,” she says.

Now, she’s bound to be nominated again, but this time as best actress, for her crackerjack title role portrayal in Mel Chionglo’s Sineng Pambansa All Masters Edition entry, “Lauriana”, a dark tale of twisted love and obsession produced by Baby Go, written by Ricky Lee and helmed by Mel Chionglo. Set in a small town in Quezon Province in the 50s, Bangs plays a baylarina (dancer in the town’s kabaret) who falls in love with a dashing PC captain (Allen Dizon) who’s already married to Rich Asuncion. They live together but he turns out to be a wife beater.

“To show our passion for each other, Allen and I have a sexy love scene where both of us are totally nude,” says Bangs. “Buti na lang, comfortable ako sa kanya as we just appeared in ‘Burgos’ as brother and sister, parang barkada na kami, tapos biglang dito, mag-asawa na kami. But he’s very professional, a real gentleman, prinotektahan niya ako. Nagulat lang kami kasi 15 minutes nang kinukunan ang bedscene, hindi pa kina-cut ni Direk Mel. Kung gaano ka-tender ang love scene, the opposite naman ang bugbugan scenes. Brutal talaga. Black and blue ako rito kay Allen. Lahat ng mga pasa ko that you’d see in the movie, totoo yun. Hindi make up lang. At may ginawa sa akin si Allen na ikasa-shock ng viewers. It’s so extreme but I can’t reveal it. You have to watch the movie to find out. Basta karumal-dumal ang ginawa niya sa pagkababae ko at tiyak na magkakaroon ito ng big impact sa audience. This is my most mature and daring role so far, not only in terms of going sexy but in stepping up my level of acting. Na-challenge talaga ako nang husto.”

We turn to Direk Mel Chionglo, who also megged the last film of the late Claudia Zobel (whose remains have been intact after 30 years), “Sinner or Saint”. Did Bangs deliver as Lauriana? “She definitely did. And how. She reminded me of Claudia kasi they’re both raw. ‘Sinner or Saint’ got a lot of nominations at maraming nanghinayang kay Claudia kasi she’s an instinctive actress. Marami ring pahahangain si Bangs dito, who plays an even more demanding role as ‘Lauriana’. Mahirap ang range ng character niya who goes through various emotions. She’s a lively girl at the start, but because of the abuse she got from the man she loves, nag-iba siya, iba’t ibang emosyon ang pinakita niya, hanggang maging palaban siya. Sayang nga, inalis yung awards night sa Sineng Pambansa. Kung hindi, I believe malaki ang laban ni Bangs na mag-best actress.”

Does Bangs feel sad about this? “It’s not just about winning awards naman. I accepted to do this movie kasi it’s about improving my craft as an actress. Mas big deal sa’kin yung kasali ito sa first All Masters Edition ng Sineng Pambansa at title role pa ako.”

“Meron pa namang ibang award-giving bodies after the festival,” adds Direk Mel. “So may chance pa rin si Bang na ma-recognize ang acting niya.”

Bangs has not been assigned a new soap by ABS-CBN since she did “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo” last year. She’s been more busy with movies. Aside from “Lauriana” and “Burgos”, she’s also in the cast of two new films, “El Brujo” with Gerald Anderson and “Sabine” with Felix Roco. “Lauriana” will have its premiere night at SM North Edsa The Block Cinema 2 tomorrow, September 5, 8 PM. Regular showing is September 11 to 17 at all SM Cinemas nationwide.
