Direk Paul Soriano officially broke the news when asked by Kris Aquino
about the rumored engagement: "It's been what, 7 years right? Toni has
been a great part of my life. She's the best gift I've ever received.
I wanna spend my whole life with her. And yes, yeah, we're engaged."
There was no elaborate proposal, but I find it even more special 'coz
Direk Paul did it at Toni's house, in front of her family. The
producer-director said he proposed 12:30 AM of January 21, the day
after Toni's 31st birthday.
And how did Alex Gonzaga, Toni's one and only sister, react on their
engagement? Toni said it was hard for Alex to accept it at first, but
Direk Paul assured Alex and Toni's parents that he's not gonna take
her away from the family, 'coz he is in fact joining them.
Alex admitted she's really feeling sad about it when she shared a
photo of the newly-engaged couple on Instagram. But knowing how
deserving and suitable Paul is for Toni, she's already happy for them.
Congratulations Toni and Paul! You have just granted your fans' wish
that you finally marry this 2015.
I remember Toni's movie with Piolo Pascual last year, the blockbuster
'Starting Over Again'. She had a happy ending there with no less than
Direk Paul Soriano himself, who did a cameo in the movie. And it's
happening in real life. Toni is about to have her happy ending as she
enters a new phase in her life as soon-to-be Mrs. Soriano.
With almost 8 years as boyfriend-girlfriend, Paul and Toni are
inspiring every couple out there not to rush things and always put God
in the center of their relationship. Congrats Toni and Paul! You're
perfect for each other.

Into The Woods Review: Whitewashed, Sanitized Movie Version Is A Big Letdown

THE LAST good adaptation of a musical we saw on screen is “Les Miz” in 2012. In 2013, Clint Eastwood did “Jersey Boys” and it lacked the emotional impact of the stage version. Last year, we had the reboot of “Annie” and the long awaited cinematic adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods” and both, to put it mildly, are letdowns.

“Into the Woods”, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, was first staged in Broadway in 1987 and won several Tony Awards. Take note that “Phantom of the Opera” opened in the same year. For the movie, they made some changes, like removing the character of The Narrator who is now heard as a voice over. The Narrator doubles as the Mysterious Man in the stage play and he’ll later turn out to be someone else. The main characters are a baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) who cannot have a child because a witch (Meryl Streep) put a curse on them because the Baker’s father stole some magic beans from her. To remove the curse, they have three nights to get four items: a milky white cow, a blood-red cape, a corn-yellow strand of hair and a golden slipper.

After seven long year, Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano are enganged!

The confirmation was made by the happy couple on The Buzz on Sunday, February 1, after several reports surrounding their relationship surfaced last week: Is Toni Gonzaga pregnant? Did Daddy Bonoy and Mommy Pinty continue to disapprove their relationship? Did they break-up? Are they engaged?

The 31-year-old Kapamilya actress-host and the 33-year-old director, to the delight of everyone watching, confirmed with Kris Aquino that they are officially engaged and their wedding will happen within the year.

 Paul said that he proposed on January 21, the day after Toni's birthday in front of Daddy Bonoy, Mommy Pinty and Toni's sister Alex.

Blockbuster Star Cinema Movies Now Available in Qatar via Mozaic TV

Hit Online Sports Talk Show SPORTS360 Invades TV Starting February 1, 2PM on TV5


Sports360, the hit online sports talk show on Sports5.PH hosted by Aaron Atayde, Nikko Ramos and Erika Padilla, crosses over to television starting February 1.

Today, at 2PM, TV5 introduces its first weekly sports talk show called SPORTS360 bringing the latest sports updates as it happens, where it happens.

Sports360 will utilize a new set in Studio 6 of TV5 Media Center in Mandaluyong where the three hosts will engage and inform viewers in a sometimes serious, sometimes irreverent, but definitely entertaining manner. The Voice of the Philippines 2, Jan. 31: The 6 Best Performances

The Voice Philippines Season 2 episode last night, January 31, 2015, was supposed to be the 2nd Live Show Performance Night, but it was pre-taped, hosts Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga avoided to use the word "live", and instead called it simply as the 2nd Performance Night.

Even the Twitter hashtag that was used was #TheVoiceABSCBN, and not #LiveShowsPH, because it wasn't live.

But it's not what matters the most. It's the breathtaking performances of the remaining 12 artists (3 from each team) who are vying for the remaining 8 slots (2 per team) in the next round.

Over-all, last night's performances were better than last week. But if you ask me about the boring performances, Team Bamboo's Rence Rapanot and Team Lea's Miro Valera who both performed last night are the frontrunners.

Now whose performances stood out last night? Women ruled, actually, as my Top 3 are all performances from the ladies.

And just like last week when Team Lea's Leah Patricio took my #1 spot, someone from the same team topped my list this time - it's Casper Blancaflor's 'Chandelier'.

Note that Casper is only a stolen artist
from Kamp Kawayan. I can imagine Coach Bamboo feeling regretful now when he eliminated her and saved Rence during the Battles.

But don't you worry Coach Bamboo. You still have Tanya Diaz who's my 2nd Best last night with her performance of 'Natural Woman', followed by Team Apl's Mackie Cao in 3rd with her rendition of 'Makin' Love Out of Nothing At All', which reminded me of Sarah Geronimo's amazing version of the song on ASAP 8 years ago. (I actually think Mackie used Sarah's version.)



Coming in 4th is Team Lea artist Timmy Pavino's 'Hanggang Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan', Team Sarah's Kokoi Baldo comes next for me with his feel-good take of 'Love and Devotion' and finally, Jason Dy, also from Team Sarah, is 6th Best with 'Thinking Out Loud'.

It's hard to predict tonight's results, but I will try. I only made 2 mistakes last week, and I'm aiming to be perfect for tonight.

Coach Sarah once again will have the toughest choice to make. Douglas is outstanding, but she can't just simply let go of the fan favorites Kokoi and Jason. Team Apl's Mackie Cao did great last night, but if
ever she doesn't top the votes, her coach might still choose Bradley Holmes over her. - Mykiru.ph
