Anne Curtis Ready With Next Big Concert Title 'Anne Kapal' (7 Photos)

ANNE CURTIS turned 29 last Monday, February 17, and after her special birthday celebration in “Showtime”, she spent the rest of the afternoon with selected members of the press at TGIF Rembrandt. She raffled off so many prizes and had many give aways from her various product endorsements. She’s the only celeb we know who does this on her birthday, her way of thanking the press, especially those who didn’t bash her at the height of the bar scandal last year.

“Despite what happened, I have so many blessings to be thankful for,” she says. “Isa na rito ang ‘Dyesebel’ being assigned to me. Then I’m coming out with a new album called ‘The Forbidden Album’. I’ve already recorded five songs written by well known singers like Christian Bautista, Jay R and Kris Lawrence. Tapos, I’ll have another concert at Araneta in May. After ‘Anne Bisyosa’, this one is titled ‘Round 2: Anne Kapal’. And then I’m shooting a new movie, ‘The Gifted’, with Cristine Reyes and Sam Milby, directed by Chris Martinez, so tuloy-tuloy lang talaga ang trabaho.”

What’s the birthday gift to her of her boyfriend Erwan Heussaff? “A trip to Burma or Myanmar, but in April pa during Holy Week. We want to visit the place while it’s still raw and before it becomes another commercial tourist destination.”

Any wedding plans? “As of now, none. He knows I want to settle down when I’m 32 pa. Kasi the clock is ticking, para hindi ako mahirapan magbuntis and deliver a baby kung much later pa. But I’ll still go on with my career kahit may baby na.”

How does it feel to be 29? “It’s just a number. I certainly don’t feel my age, I don’t act my age and most of all, I don’t look my age!”

It's All Systems Go For Jericho Rosales And Kim Jones' Wedding On May 1

JERICHO ROSALES says he has grown older and wiser that’s why he feels he’s really ready to settle down with fiancée Kim Jones on May 1. “Noong araw, impulsive ako, I act without thinking,” he says. “But not anymore. Mas dedicated na ko sa lahat ng ginagawa ko. That’s why I’m happy to do a movie like ‘ABNKKBSNPLAko’ that emphasize the importance of education. Nagluko sa pag-aaral ang character ko rito, si Bob Ong, but eventually I realize yung value ng getting a degree at naging teacher din ako.”

Director Mark Meily seems to bring out the best in him. They first worked together in “Baler” and he also gave a great performance there, just like in “ABNKKBSNPLAko”. “I salute Direk Mark kasi he’s a versatile filmmaker. ‘Baler’ is a historical costume drama which won awards. Now, he also shines in making this values-oriented youth movie based on a hit book. I’m so proud to work with him and this will be memorable for me dahil ito ang huling movie ko bilang binata. Mahirap yung role for me kasi comedy siya, e mas sanay ay ako sa drama, di ba? Also, I start here as a 16-year old high school student and it ends na teacher na ko in my mid-30s, so malawak ang range. But with Direk Mark’s help, naitawid naman namin ng maayos ang role ko as Bob Ong.”

So it’s all systems go for his May 1 wedding with Kim Jones? “Yes, wala nang urungan yan. Hindi na yan maka-cancel o mapa-pack up. Talagang pinaghahandaan namin.”
