Charice Pempengco Is Now Gone, Reborn As Jake Zyrus Ala-Bb. Gandanghari. Will This Revive Her Career?

CHARICE PEMPENGCO has been reborn. She's now known as Jake Zyrus. She just went live on her instagram account, that has more than 120,000 followers, after being absent from it for more than two months when it was reported that she broke up with her live in partner named Alyssa Quijano. And she now introduces herself as Jake Zyrus, which is also her new name in her Twitter account.

Looks like she has moved on from her break up and is ready to start life on a new clean slate. Someone asked her about Alyssa and she said she doesn't know because they don't communicate anymore and have completely lost touch. There are talks that they broke because of money matters but she won't confirm or deny it.

Charice (or Jake Zyrus) looks more masculine than ever with her very short haircut and simple boy's t-shirt. As one of her fans commented: "Binatang-binata ang dating, a. Barako boy."

She said what they see now is the real Charice as the old one before was just the image her handlers wanted her to project then. Now, what you see is what you get.


Someone even asked her if she just had one drink too many and she said repeatedly: "No, I'm not drunk. I'm not drunk. Hindi rin ako addict huh. Nagpa-tattoo lang ako, addict na raw. Hindi ako addict!"

Well, here's hoping that Charice's transformation as Jake will help her to still be able to recover her lost glory. At this stage, she really needs new managers and handlers who will help re-energize her dormant career and put her back on track. Let's face it, she was very successful at some point in her career, even conquering the U.S. market and doing Hollywood movies.

All this she lost when she became defiant in coming out and living in with Alyssa. People can only take so much. It was to sudden and abrupt for her fans, unlike Aiza Seguerra who tested the waters first before admitting her true sexual preference to the public and, as such, is able to maintain her career even when she later had a same sex marriage with Liza Dino.

Pregnant Pokwang shares 1st ultrasound photo, bans Chokoleit from visiting her

Pokwang is confirmed pregnant, and she's expected to give birth February next year.

The 44-year-old 'Ang Probinsyano' actress first confirmed she's 7-week pregnant via Twitter 3 days ago.

@pokwang27: "maraming salamat sa mga natuwa sa aking pagbubuntis ❤️ sa mga hindi nman try nyo maging happy sa life 😊 and 44 lang po ako hindi 46 thanks!"

Then just today, June 19, Pokwang proudly shared the first ultrasound image of her baby-to-be with American partner Lee O'Brian. In the caption, the comedienne even jokingly told friend Chokoleit to avoid seeing her or visiting her house while she's pregnant.

It will be Pokwang's 2nd with O'Brian. She suffered miscarriage during the first one 2 years ago.

From a previous relationship, she has a Fil-Japanese daughter who's now 21 years old.

With her high-risk pregnancy, Pokwang is expected to leave the primetime TV series 'Ang Probinsyano' and the Sunday comedy show 'Banana Sundae'.

Quality Movies To Watch Out For In The 2017 Metro Manila Filmfest Include 'Larawan' By Nick Joaquin & 'Citizen Jake' By Mike De Leon

SO MANY MOVIES have expressed their desire to join the 2017 Metro-Manila Filmfest in December. So far, we know of only one entry that has been completed in principal photography and post-production, "Ang Larawan", the musical adaptation in Filipino of Nick Joaquin's acclaimed "Portrait of the Artist as Filipino" with Rachel Alejandro, Joanna Ampil and Paulo Avelino, directed by Loy Arcenas.

Shooting right now is Regal and IdeaFirst Company's "My Fairy Tale Story", a fantasy love story about a mermaid played by Janella Salvador with Elmo Magalona as leading man, directed by Percival Intalan. Then there's Star Cinema's two big projects with Coco Martin and Vice Ganda, who were together in last year's "Super Parental Guardians".

Now, Coco is directing his own solo entry, the nth reboot of "Ang Panday", while Vice Ganda is teaming up with Daniel Padilla and Pia Wurtzbach in her first movie after winning the Miss Universe title. Their project is tentatively titled "Super Heroes", directed by Joyce Bernal. Both film projects have yet to start shooting.

With these projects already on the drawing board, we don't think Star Cinema will still field their new version of "Darna" starring Liza Soberano in the 2017 filmfest, what with its director, Erik Matti, still busy directing other projects, like Anne Curtis' "Buy Bust" and the "On the Job" TV series for HOOQ.

Another much awaited entry in the Metro filmfest is the comeback project of iconic filmmaker Mike de Leon, the political film "Citizen Jake" with broadcaster Atom Araullo in his first acting job playing the title role, supported by Gabby Eigenmann, Max Collins, Cherie Gil, Luis Alandy and Teroy Guzman.

The late director, Gil Portes, had expressed his intention to join the filmfest with his socially relevant, "Mindanao", about a young doctor who choose to practice his profession in an indigent rural community. But now that he has left us, we suppose this project would have to be shelved now.

Rachelle Ann Go Now More Open About Her Love Life, Is In A Relationship With American Entrepreneur Martin Spies In New York

RACHELLE ANN GO, who won best featured actress for her role as Gigi in "Miss Saigon", is now more open about her lovelife. She no longer hides being in a relationship with her foreigner BF, a businessman named Martin Spies who has movie star good looks. Rachelle is currently living in New York doing Gigi in "Miss Saigon" and she has been posting her photos with Martin who she addresses as Marthinus.

Martin just celebrated his 30th birthday and Rachelle posted their photo while having dinner in a New York restaurant. Rachelle then greeted him in social media with this message: "Happy 30th Marthinus! Thank you for being amazing!"

Rachelle herself will soon be 31 years old, so she is really of the right age to make decisions for herself and get into a serious commitment. It's said she met Martin in a Christian Fellowship meeting in a church in New York. Rachelle was previously linked to other guys from local showbiz, including Christian Bautista, Gab Valenciano, John Prats and the last one, just before she joined the cast of "Miss Saigon", was PBB winner Slater Young who has since gone back to oblivion after an unsuccessful try in showbiz.

We guess having relationships like this abroad cannot be helped, as admitted by Joanna Ampil, a former Kim in "Miss Saigon" in our recent interview with her. She admitted having relationships with foreigners as it can get to be very lonely living in a foreign land without your family. Joanna's relationships didn't prosper and they ended breaking up, but she says they are lessons learned for her. Here's hoping that Rachelle Ann's relationship with her Marthinus will be more successful this time and lasts for a lifetime.

In September, Rachelle will be leaving New York to go back to London for the West End premiere of the award winning Broadway musical, "Hamilton", where she will play the lead role this time, after doing supporting roles in "Miss Saigon" and "Les Miz". Will her Marthinus follow her there so that they won't have an interrupted romance? Let's wait and see.
