Nash Aguas Leads ABS-CBN's Boyband Gimme5, Debut Album Launched

STAR RECORDS launched the debut album of ABS-CBN’s newest boyband, Gimme5. The group is led by Nash Aguas and the members are Joaquin Lucas Reyes, John Immanuel Bermundo, Grae Fernandez and Brace Henry Arquiza. Introduced in ASAP almost a year ago, they’re now all part of Nash’s launching teleserye, “Bagito”.

Nash is the eldest member since he turned 16 on Oct. 10. The youngest is Grae Fernandez, the eldest son of Mark Anthony Fernandez and wife Melissa who just turned 13 on Nov. 7. Joaquin, who appeared as the young Enchong Dee in “Muling Buksan ang Puso”, turned 14 on Oct. 28. John, the young Jason Abalos in “Maria Mercedes”, will be 14 on December 24 while Brace, whose family won in the ASAP Supah Dance Contest, will be 14 on December 12.

Nash Aguas, Alexa Ilacad on KathNiel: Sila yung king and queen



Kapamilya teen stars Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad feel flattered about being tagged as the next KathNiel (the Daniel Padilla-Kathryn Bernardo love team).

“Thank you po sa mga nag-isip ng ganoon. Sobrang idol namin ang KathNiel. Love na love namin sila, kaya para ma-compare kami sa kanila, haba ng hair namin. Sila ang king and queen eh,” Alexa said at the press conference of the teleserye “Bagito” on Sunday, November 16.

Sensitive topic

 But Nash feels he and Alexa can’t replace KathNiel.

“Kahit idol ko si kuya DJ (Daniel), talagang wala sigurong makakapalit sa KathNiel dahil sa generation namin, sila na talaga iyon. Sana po, pero sila na talaga iyon.”

“Bagito” sees Nash playing Andrew, a 14-year-old dad.

Nash admitted the story’s sensitive topic made him feel nervous at first.

“Noong una, nagulat ako, pero inexplain sa akin na talagang nangyayari ito sa totoong buhay. So marami po kaming matutulungan dahil madami pong magiging aware sila sa problem.”
His fans’ reactions have put Nash’s fears to rest.

More open-minded

 “Nung pinalabas yung trailer, nakita ko yung mga tweets ng fans namin, mas open-minded sila. And alam naman nila na ginawa yung teleserye para maging aware ang mga tao.”


“Bagito” also stars Ella Cruz, Agot Isidro, Angel Aquino, Ariel Rivera, Paolo Santiago, Alex Diaz, Joaquin Reyes, John Bermundo, Grae Fernandez and Brace Arquia.
