Not 1, 2 or 3 But 4 Hosts Join The Voice of the Philippines Season 2


Not one, not two or three, but four hosts will join the highly anticipated new season of "The Voice of the Philippines".

On the show's second season, original host Toni Gonzaga will be joined by "The Voice Kids host" Luis Manzano, with Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo as V Reporters.



Returning as coaches are Lea Salonga, Bamboo Manalac, Sarah Geronimo and Allan "apl.de.ap" Pineda Lindo.

The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 premieres October 26, on ABS-CBN.

After showcasing career-oriented men working across different fields for three months, “It’s Showtime” has brought together 58-semi-finalists who will compete for the grand title of its beauty pageant “Gandang Lalake” this Saturday (October 18).

They have already shown that they are role models in their own way, so the 58 men now have to prove again their charm and wit in the question-and-answer portion of the semi-finals. With 30 seconds on the clock, each semi-finalist is tasked to answer a question by presenting a word or a group of words and explain his answer.

The semi-finals of “Gandang Lalake” covers various and diverse professions, with a collection of contestants that include a financial advisor, miner, tricycle driver, marketing agent, engineer, flight attendant, waiter, bus conductor, service crew member, barber, call center agent, and a DJ.

At the grand finals on Saturday, only the top 15 finalists  will get the chance to showcase their talent, as well as their poise in the formal wear competition. It will also feature the return of host Vice Ganda as one of the pageant’s judges.

Who will be crowned the grand winner of “Gandang Lalake” and take home P300,000?

James Reid Afraid to Lose Nadine Lustre


The character of Kapamilya star James Reid is feeling worried that Anika (portrayed by Nadine Lustre) will erase him in the continuation of ABS-CBN’s top-rating fantasy-drama anthology, “Wansapanataym Presents My App Boyfie,” which also stars Dominic Roque.

This weekend (October 18 and 19), Joe (James) will do everything to steal and hide Anika’s computer tablet when he found out about her plan to delete him.

Will Joe be able to change Anika’s mind especially now that she’s starting to develop feelings for Melvin (Dominic)? What will Anika do when her magical computer tablet that created her ‘app boyfie’ Joe gets lost?

Also part of “Wansapanataym Presents My App Boyfie” are Cherie Gil, Malou Crisologo, Ingrid dela Paz, Jazz McDonald, Marco Pingol, and Elise Joson. The show also features Isabel Oli and Alex Castro as guest stars. It is written by Noreen Capili and directed by Jojo Saguin.

The original story book for Filipino kids “Wansapanataym” is under the production of Dreamscape Entertainment Television, the group that created top-rating TV masterpieces such as “Walang Hanggan,” “Ina Kapatid Anak,” and “Juan dela Cruz.”

Beauty In A Bottle': A Comedy That Satirizes The Beauty Business & The Obsession For Beauty

‘BEAUTY IN A BOTTLE’ is the only comedy among the six films to open simultaneously on October 29. “The rest are horror films naman (‘Blood Ransom’, ‘T’yanak’, ‘Sigaw sa Hatinggabi’, ‘Hukluban’ and ‘Bacao’), so naiiba kami,” says Quantum Films producer Atty. Joji Alonso.”If you want to have fun and a real good time laughing in so many scenes, then watch our movie.”

Also, we heard that the Sineng Pambansa entries will share only two cinemas in each SM outlet, so they have limited exposure, compared to “Beauty in a Bottle” that will be shown in all cinema outlets nationwide, include Ayala and Robinson malls.

“Beauty in a Bottle” is from a story idea of writer-director Chris Martinez. It’s a satire on the beauty business and everyone’s obsession with beauty. Assunta de Rossi is concerned about growing old, Angelica Panganiban about getting fat and Angeline Quinto about being an ugly duckling in a family of beautiful women.

How true that veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez was asked to take a leave as news anchor of TV Patrol, ABS-CBN's flagship news program?

This is the latest rumor circulating around the news department of ABS-CBN.

Korina Sanchez, being the wife of DILG Secretary Mar Roxas, the current administration's Presidential bet for 2016 was pointed as the reason of the management as they see conflict to the network's stand on "balanced newscasting".

According to the buzz, the order will be effective on November this year.

But others are raising their eyebrows regarding this move - mostly from the lady broadcaster's supporters. They say Korina is only a news reader of TV Patrol and does not give opinion on different issues of his husband. Further, if they insist on taking Korina out, it should also be done to personalities with political connections like Kris Aquino.

'Ilustrado,' The First Bayani-Serye on Primetime TV Airs this October on GMA-7

Some people only know the stories of others tell them, but for the first time in Philippine television history, GMA News and Public Affairs brings one of the nation's heroes to a new light - one that portrays him as human, someone people could understand, and most of all, love once again.

Ilustrado takes a step back and shows the man that embodied the positive qualities that Filipinos aim to be. The series showcases Jose Rizal's journey from his childhood, his colourful travels in Europe, his adventures in love, and most of all - the sacrifices he made for the love of his country.

Top billing this momentous series is one of the most promising actors today, Alden Richards as Jose Rizal, Kylie Padilla as Leonor Rivera, together with Solenn Heussaff and Max Collins as her European lovers Nellie Bousted and Consuelo Ortiga. TV5 Reaches Closely to Televiewers by Moving 'Amazing Race' and 'Wattpad Presents' to New Timeslots


Due to insistent public demand, TV5 moves flagship programs The Amazing Race Philippines 2 (TARP) and Wattpad Presents to new primetime slots starting next week (Monday, October 20) at 9:00pm and 9:30pm respectively.

“We’ve been receiving valuable feedback from viewers saying that they are not able to watch the shows because they arrive home late. They usually get stuck in traffic and their daily commute home eats up their time. These viewers want to see these programs, but the shows are usually done with the night’s airing by the time they get home. This is the reason why we decided to move TARP to 9PM and Wattpad to 9:30PM, so we can reach these viewers,” said TV5 Chief Entertainment Content Officer Wilma V. Galvante.
 
As of press time, viewers await for the nerve-wrecking conclusion of the second leg of The Amazing Race Philippines 2. The leg proved to be very challenging and was able to present the racers in a different light, showing how their teamwork and strategies fall apart as they face daunting tasks. Team Sexy Besties RR Enriquez and Jeck Maierhofer were penalized for 4 hours after quitting from the challenge that required them to climb a wall to reach for a bottle of Summit Natural Drinking Water, while team Pinay World Champs Luz McClitton and Gretchen Albaniel became combative against each other after placing last on a series of challenges.  This week also saw how team alliances crumbled as racers faced their first U-Turn mark, requiring them to vote for another team who will go back to the previous location to do another task. Team Mr. Pogi JP Duray and Kelvin Engles were the first team to be U-Turned. Winners of this leg will receive P200,000 cash prize courtesy of Shell V Power Nitro Plus.

Meanwhile, TV5’s romantic-comedy TV adaptations of popular Wattpad online novels continue to deliver feel-good and heartwarming stories as Wattpad Presents launches another batch of stories highly requested stories. This Monday, the much-awaited TV adaptation of the popular Wattpad love story “Dyepni” will come to life, featuring real-life sweethearts Alwyn Uytingco and Jennica Garcia. The couple recently announced that they had a secret wedding last February 12 at Victory Church Greenhills and “Dyepni” will be their first-ever TV project together as a couple. Originally written by pajama_addict and with almost 2 million reads on Wattpad, “Dyepni” depicts the bumpy but kilig love story between Nialla (Jennica Garcia) and Jeffrey (Alwyn Uytingco) which starts and ends in a “jeepney” ride. Will the supposedly typical jeepney ride of Nialla and Jeffrey drive them to their “love destination” together or are they just bound to get off and go their separate ways?

GMA7's My Destiny aired its final episode Friday, October 17, 2014. Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez in the lead roles together with Sid Lucero and Rhian Ramos. The series had its pilot episode on June 30, 2014. The series ran for 16 weeks with a total of 80 episodes.

So what's the best way to end a story whose theme is about love and destiny? End it with a wedding. :p

We're just taking Vincent.. este Matthew's wedding vow to Grace and we quote:
